LalBrew CBC-1™ was selected for Cask and Bottle Conditioning applications due to its high resistance to alcohol and pressure
Neutral flavor profile and does not metabolize maltotriose, therefore the original character of the beer is preserved after refermentation
Also an ideal strain for primary fermentation of dry ciders, mead and hard-seltzer
Lallemand premium brewing yeast offers brewers unmatched consistency, reliability and purity from one batch of beer to the next
The true solution to under carbonated, bottle conditioned beers! CBC-1 is a great choice for fermenting beers destined for bottle conditioning, especially higher-alcohol styles. A fast starter and robust strain which can be used to ferment/re-ferment beers up to 14% ABV. The flavor is neutral, therefore the original character of the beer is preserved. The yeast will settle and form a tight mat at the end of refermentation. LalBrew® CBC-1 can also be used for primary fermentation of dry ciders or mead. Maltotriose is not metabolized during primary fermentation of beer, so LalBrew® CBC-1 is well suited for sweeter fruit beers or fullbodied, malty ales.

Smooth, ribless design prevents yeast and bacteria buildup, making sanitation a breeze Punted bottom and conical top promote sediment collection and reduce oxidation during storage Extra-wide 4" mouth opening simplifies filling, additions, and cleaning Constructed from heavy-duty, virgin PET plastic without plasticizers Made with food-grade and BPA-free materials The Fermonster is a brand new fermenter designed specifically for fermentation. MoreBeer! gave product feedback for over 2 years of development and we think they nailed the design. The large lid allows for easy filling and makes hop or oak additions a breeze. The smooth sides are fantastic for sanitization - no ribs or texture to collect yeast or bacteria. The punted bottom allows sediment to collect to the sides so that you can siphon liquid from the center. Because they are made from virgin PET plastic, they're nearly unbreakable and a lot safer than similar glass carboys. Also notice the conical top which reduces surface area if you plan to store beer or wine long term. These ported versions come with our plastic spigot (FE347), allowing for easy racking and sampling! Made from heavy PET plastic, the same material used in 2 L soda bottles, which is nearly impermeable to oxygen penetration. Due to the thickness of the material and the overall geometry, the Fermonster does not require ribs or dimples for stability. That results in a super smooth interior surface that reduces yeast and sediment buildup making it the easiest to clean, most sanitary PET carboy on the market. The huge 4" opening makes filling a breeze, and cleanup is as easy as wiping down the inside. These fermentors are completely air-tight and the lids sealed tight with an O-Ring. Additional O-Rings and Lids both with and without holes are available for purchase, see our You Might Also Need items below. Features: 4" inner diameter wide mouth carboy - easy to clean! Food grade PET plastic construction is nearly impermeable to oxygen penetration No hard to clean dimples or ribs Punted bottom O-Ring and Lid with one hole is included (Fits #10 Stopper) Additional O-Rings and Lids available Weight: 1.5 lbs Temperature Limit: 140° F Height: 14.6 inches Diameter: 9 inches Completely taste and odor free Perfect for Beer, Wine, Cider, Mead, Kombucha or any other fermented beverage! Thick walls for better oxygen barrier. Please note: the pictured #10 Stopper (FE470VS) and three piece airlock (FE370) are not included.

This Erlenmyer flask is huge, coming in at 5000 ml (5L!), making it the ideal vessel to make a large yeast starter for a 10+ gallon batch. The best brewers make large yeast starters to get their beer fermenting fast, and most of them do so in an Erlenmeyer flask. Large populations of active yeast help ensure flavorful beer free of off flavors. Because this flask is made from borosilicate glass you can move it from a boil into a cold water bath for cooling. This means you can do the whole process in one container, keeping it simple and helping to reduce the risk of contamination when transferring from one container to another. Double Boiler Method It is important for your safety to heat water in the flask with a heat source that distributes heat evenly. Morebeer! recommends using the "double boiler method." This process involves using a boiling water bath on the outside of the flask to heat up the water inside the flask. All you need is a kettle 3 gallons or larger. This process is much safer and efficient. If the flask should break or boil over, your kettle will be there to collect the contents, thus keeping your stove clean and keeping you safe. Safety First: Please take us up on a great deal - save $14.95 when you purchase a 5000ml flask and our BE300 5 gallon stainless steel kettle at the same time. Use Promo code SAFETY1 at checkout. Features Massive 5L (5000ML) Capacity Made from Borosilicate Glass (also known as Pyrex) Fantastic price for a flask of this size Produced for MoreBeer! Why make a yeast starter? (from our FAQ) We build starters for 3 main reasons. First, to ensure yeast health. By making a starter 1-3 days in advance, you ensure that your yeast is healthy and strong and ready to do its job. Second, to create more yeast. By making the starter you will increase the cell count of the yeast, giving you a better chance of keeping bacteria's and wild yeasts from fermenting your wort. Third, if you are making high gravity beers. If you are making a high gravity beer (1.060+) you will need more yeast to start the ferment faster. High gravity beers will also finish more completely when you pitch ample quantities of yeast. In the lab world, these flasks are known as "Student Grade". Student grade flasks may have small scratches and air bubbles. A great flask for making yeast starters! For a stopper we recommend a size #8-9 (FE498 or FE49). Kegland Part Number: KL04008

Efficient Haze Reduction: Clearzyme targets haze-causing proteins in beer, ensuring a clear brew without affecting flavor, aroma, or head retention.
Simplifies Brewing Process: Eliminates the need for cold crashing, saving time and energy by breaking down proteins at fermentation temperatures between 50-68°F.
Gluten Reduction: Reduces gluten levels in beers made with barley and wheat to below 20ppm, making it suitable for gluten-sensitive consumers.
Easy to Use: Just 1/4 tsp per 5 gallons added at the start of fermentation is all that's needed to achieve optimal results.
Easily make clear beer by adding Clearzyme to your fermenter at the same time you pitch your yeast. This enzymatic solution targets and breaks down haze-inducing proteins so they cannot later bind with tannins to create beer haze. Clearzyme by CellarScience specifically targets haze-active proteins, so it has no negative effect on flavor, aroma, or head retention. One of the huge benefits of Clearzyme is that it removes the need to cold crash, saving time and energy.
Use:
Add 1/4 tsp per 5 gallons at the start of fermentation. Works best at a temperature range between 50-68°F and pH of 4-6.
Additional Notes:
Clearzyme is a protease, or proteolytic, enzyme that partially or totally hydrolyzes peptide bonds in protein. The resulting protein fractions are then too small to bond with the polyphenols in hops. It also breaks down the gluten protein that causes allergic reactions. Beers made with barley and wheat that have had Clearzyme added typically show gluten levels below 20ppm. Store at temperatures under 70°F. Immediately recap bottle after each use.
The recommended shelf life is 12 months from the date the package is opened.
Keep your KegLand pH Meter's probe in great condition by storing it in this storage solution. Letting your probe dry is the leading cause of degradation. By leaving your pH meter in this solution when not in use, you will extend the life of your probe and maintain more accurate readings.

This BrewMaster Series kit was scaled down to a homebrew batch size in collaboration with the brewmasters at Barebottle Brewing Company This light and refreshing lager has a Mexican pilsner framework with a German Helles twist Includes Crystal and Saaz hops Estimated ABV: 4.7% Estimated IBUs: 18 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer The most compelling stories always have a twist. Barebottle's award-winning Torcido is a Mexican pilsner with a German Helles twist. Combining these styles results in a light and refreshing lager that would make even M. Night Shyamalan do a double take. Originally developed by Barebottle brewer John "Magic" Montes De Oca, Torcido Torcido took gold in the International Pilsener category of the 2019 Great American Beer Fest and in turn became the inaugural inductee into the Viking Malt Hall of Fame. Brewed with Viking Pilsner, flaked corn, a dash of Carahell®, and hopped with two additions of Crystal and Saaz. Barebottle Brewing Company was born in San Francisco, CA with the idea that craft brewing shouldn't adhere to the strict guidelines of established beer styles. Founded by a trio of friends and former classmates, they continue to pay homage to their homebrewing roots by printing a scaled down version of their recipe on every label. If you ever see one of their creations out in the wild, we highly recommend that you buy it, drink it, and then brew it! For best results we always recommend ordering an ice pack with your liquid yeast.
Please Note: When choosing an ice pack option beware that the liquid yeast will not arrive cold even when shipped together. Ice packs and insulated mailing options are designed to keep the yeast colder for longer during shipment, but they will not ensure that your yeast arrives cold. We will not replace liquid yeast that arrives warm. During warmer months we strongly recommend you choose dry yeast.
Easily take your beer anywhere while keeping it protected from UV! Each case contains 300 cans and lids which is enough for about 25 gallons of beer Compatible with the Cannular Can Seamer when used with 330ml table spacer (CAN103) BPA free liner Aluminum cans offer 100% protection from UV and other wavelengths of light that are harmful to beer. There's still great debate surrounding whether cans or bottles are better at keeping beer fresh, but if done correctly, cans are theoretically the superior option. When a crown cap is crimped onto a bottle, the lining of the cap can form an imperfect seal on the bottle, allowing small amounts of oxygen in, as well as small amounts of CO2 out. Over time this can result in oxidation of the beer and lost carbonation. Seamed cans form a much better seal, which can prevent these issues Aside from better protection, aluminum cans are undoubtedly the safest option for sharing and enjoying your homebrew. Bring your canned creations tailgating, camping, boating, or crack a few open poolside without the worry of broken glass! To use these cans with the Cannular Can Seamer you will also need the CAN103 table spacer. 330ml/11.1 oz aluminum cans Each case contains 300 cans and lids 202 end diameter beverage cans with B64 lids One case is enough for roughly five 5-gallon batches of beer Compatible with the Cannular Can Seamer when used with 330ml table spacer (CAN103) BPA free liner Please note that empty aluminum cans are very delicate, and up to 5% of the cans are likely to be dented or damaged in transit. If the cans were packed in a more protective (more expensive) cardboard box, the cost per can would be more expensive than simply having some dented/sacrificial cans arrive. Oxebar Mono is a lightweight 1-gallon keg with high oxygen barrier properties compared to standard PET plastic Add the Ball Lock Adapter Tapping Head to easily pressurize and dispense at home or on the go Lighter than traditional glass growlers. Easier and safer to transport Made from Nylon impregnated PET for superior oxygen barrier Wedge seals on the optional Tapping Head and Ball Lock Caps eliminate points of oxygen ingress found where rubber is traditionally used Lower total oxygen pickup compared to a standard corny keg lid seal This 1-gallon keg is lightweight, compact and has high oxygen barrier properties with 3x better (meaning less) gas transmission than traditional PET grades of plastic making it suitable for beer storage or other oxygen sensitive carbonated and non-carbonated beverages. This product is sold with the PCO38 cap, however if you would like to dispense this product through a draft system, we recommend the use of the Ball Lock Adapter Tapping Head. The tapping head is sold separately and allows you to attach standard ball lock disconnects and pressure relief valve to the top of the keg. What is Oxebar Mono Oxebar Mono is a PET polymer blend that utilizes several polymers blended together to significantly improve gas barrier properties. When compared with standard PET plastic, Oxebar Mono is able to reduce oxygen ingress and CO2 loss so your precious beverage is preserved and shelf life extended by 3x. We recommend this product for beer storage of up to 6 months. Dimensions: Diameter: 6.1" (155 mm) Height: 12.7" (325 mm) Pressure Rating: 58 psi (4 BAR) Temperature Rating: 113°F (45°C) KegLand Part Number: KL2487 NOTE: Oxebar kegs are marked with a manufacturer’s “expiry date”. This does not indicate that the keg is bad after this date; it simply indicates that a hydro test may be in order. 2 years after production and every 2 years after first use, it is recommended that the keg be hydro tested to ensure the tank is holding pressure. Hydro test instructions are available here. You will also need the KG520 Tapping Head and D1072 Green PRV to perform the test. If you do not plan to pressurize the keg, the test is not necessary.
Bursting with hop character with a smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Our best-selling Hazy IPA year after year
Includes Warrior®, Citra®, and Mosaic® hops
Estimated ABV: 6.4%
Estimated IBUs: 28
Makes 5 gallons of finished beer
Haze Craze is our take on the hazy New England IPA recipe. Also known as a North Eastern IPA, or Juicy IPA, it quickly became one of the most popular beer styles in the US. It packs all of the hop character that craft beer nerds love, and it's much softer and less bitter than classic West Coast IPAs, making it a much more approachable style for the uninitiated. The style accentuates hop character while maintaining a smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Light in color but hazy due to heavy dry hopping, yeast selection, as well as additions of oat and wheat. Low in bitterness with a huge hop character due to hop-bursting, this beer will satiate even the biggest hop head.
NEIPA has become popular nationwide thanks to breweries like Tree House Brewing, The Alchemist, Hill Farmstead and Grimm Artisanal Ales. One taste of this delicious style will make a staple in your brew schedule.

Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME)
MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.
Enhanced Yeast Performance: FermStart provides a concentrated blend of micronutrients, including amino acids, sterols, and vitamins, which helps yeast transition quickly from dormant to active, ensuring a healthy and robust fermentation process.
Faster Fermentation Start: By supplying readily assimilable nutrients, FermStart allows yeast to skip energy-consuming steps, promoting faster yeast cell multiplication and out-competing wild yeast, ensuring your selected yeast dominates the fermentation.
Strong Cell Membrane Support: Sterols in FermStart help yeast cells maintain membrane elasticity, enhancing their ability to survive and perform well under tough fermentation conditions, ensuring consistent fermentation results.
Antioxidant Protection: The inclusion of glutathione, a powerful antioxidant, helps protect yeast cells from oxidative damage during rehydration, improving yeast health and promoting a more stable and efficient fermentation process.
If you’re rehydrating beer yeast, it’s quick and easy to ensure a perfect ferment by adding FermStart by CellarScience®. FermStart is a concentrated micronutrient blend that helps yeast during the critical phase in which they transition from dried and dormant back into healthy and active. FermStart is added to your rehydration water so that your yeast absorbs the nutrients as they absorb the water. When gravities exceed 15° Plato or 1.060 starting gravity, it is recommended to rehydrate your yeast. To ensure a perfect ferment that reaches its full flavor potential, rehydrate your yeast with FermStart.
How Much?
FermStart is a super concentrated formula, which is very convenient when you are rehydrating large amounts of yeast. Use 1 gram of Fermstart for every 4 grams of yeast. We offer some suggested ranges for the amount of water to use below.
Examples:
12g yeast - Add 3g FermStart to roughly 50ml of water
500g yeast - Add 125g FermStart to roughly 1500 ml of water
The Science of How it Works
FermStart is rich in readily assimilable amino acids, sterols, vitamins, and natural glutathione. Readily assimilable means that the size of the molecules present in FermStart are extremely small and easily absorbed by the yeast cell. This is obtained by centrifuge and allows FermStart to be extremely concentrated and not contain filler.
The availability of readily assimilable amino acids allows the yeast cell to skip the step in which amino acids would be synthesized within the cell. This saved energy is instead directed into multiplication. Faster yeast cell multiplication means a faster start allowing your yeast to out-compete wild yeast. Wild yeast have unknown flavors and fermentation behavior so it is important to give the yeast you selected the best chance to dominate the fermentation.
Sterols help the cell membrane regain and maintain elasticity helping to ensure a perfect start and continued performance throughout the fermentation. The strong cell membrane helps ensure that the yeast can survive and complete alcoholic fermentation under tough conditions.
Glutathione is a very special natural antioxidant and detoxifier made up of three amino acids cysteine, glutamate, and glycine. It is extremely important for maintaining intracellular health by preventing damage to cellular components during the very oxidative process of rehydration.
Used primarily in sanitizing solutions to lower pH, therefore making the SO2 solution more effective. Use 1 tbsp per gallon along with 1 tbsp meta per gallon. Citric is not added directly to must prior to either primary or ml fermentation as its metabolism can lead to volatile acidity.

6.1 - 8 °L - Weyermann® - Weyermann® Dark Wheat is a gently kilned malt made from high-quality German wheat. It contributes a mild golden color to wort and a robust malty-sweet flavor with notes of bread, biscuit, toffee, and caramel. Wheat malts are high in protein, which helps produce fuller-bodied beers. Wheat malt can also improve head formation and retention, depending upon the other grist constituents. In top-fermented beers, Weyermann® Dark Wheat malt performs especially well, adding creaminess, body, and complex wheat flavors. Weyermann® Dark Wheat malt has a somewhat 'drier', more complex character than pale wheat malts. It's the signature malt for Bavarian Dunkelweizen, and perfect for Weizenbocks, Kölsch, and Altbiers. (6.2-8.1 L)
Vanilla beans are a great way for the adventurous homebrewer to impart a different and unique flavor to their beers.
These Bourbon Vanilla Beans from Madagascar are fresh, (unlike the dry beans you typically see in grocery stores) and ready to be used in whatever beer you like.
To use, simply slice the bean open lengthwise and add to your Secondary or Keg. Remove when the Vanilla flavor is at the desired strength. 1-2 beans are fine for a slight Vanilla flavor, but some brewers will push the limits and add the third bean. Are you a three-bean-brewer? (This would typically be done in an Oatmeal Stout or a similarly heavy beer.)

Comprehensive Yeast Nutrition: FermFed provides a complex blend of essential nutrients like diammonium phosphate (DAP), thiamin, amino acids, sterols, and vitamins (B2, B5, B6, B12), supporting yeast health and optimizing fermentation. Prevents Off-Flavors: FermFed’s nitrogen content helps prevent the production of undesirable compounds like hydrogen sulfide (rotten eggs), ensuring cleaner and more desirable flavors during fermentation. Enhanced Fermentation Performance: Ingredients such as sterols and mannoproteins promote yeast cell strength and improve the retention of aromatic compounds, helping yeast finish fermentation smoothly while enhancing flavor retention. Versatile Application: Ideal for wine and non-malt fermentations with known nitrogen deficiencies, FermFed is also available in a DAP-free version suitable for malt-based fermentations with unknown nitrogen levels. FermFed is a complex nutrient blend of diammonium phosphate, thiamin, amino acids, sterols, pantothenic acid, mannoproteins, protective microelements derived from yeast hulls, and vitamins B2, B5, B6, & B12. FermFed also contains the organic and inorganic nitrogen (DAP) that yeast need. Help your yeast reach the end of fermentation safely while producing amazing flavors with FermFed by CellarScience®. FermFed is a great choice for wine and other non-malt based fermenations where there is a known nitrogen deficiency. For beer or other fermentations where nitrogen levels are unknown we recommend FermFed DAP Free. The organic nitrogen supplied in FermFed DAP Free is sufficient for all malt fermentations and poses less potential issues if not consumed by the yeast. Read more about FermFed DAP Free. How Much Do I Add and When? For most beer fermentations add 1 gram per gallon. Mix the nutrient in a small slurry of water and add to the wort just prior to pitching yeast. How it Works The different components of FermFed work in different ways to feed and protect your yeast. When yeast do not have enough nitrogen, they are more likely to produce hydrogen sulfide (rotten eggs). FermFed helps to eliminate this problem by providing enough nitrogen for most situations. As yeast divide and multiply they get weaker and might not be able to properly finish fermentation as the alcohol content rises. Feeding them sterols help cells maintain membrane fluidity so that the yeast can properly function. Mannoprotein molecules bind esters and terpenes and work as an anchor to keep them in solution so they are not driven off by CO2 during fermentation. Pantothenic acid is added to help reduce the production of hydrogen sulfide. Thiamine is important for yeast metabolism. Vitamins B2, B5, B6, & B12 are important for general yeast health. For a full yeast nutritional plan, use FermStart when rehydrating yeast.

Made by MoreBeer! from 304 stainless steel.
This quick disconnect seals up very well without a lot of work in connecting them. This will work with any of our H503 and H507 series of quick disconnects. However, it does not work in conjunction with any of our plastic or brass quick disconnects. These feature a 1/2" Barb on the ends for easy connectivity to any 1/2" tubing you may have.
The quick disconnect will hold pressure for typical brewing applications when moving liquids at 60psi or less. 3/8" ID. Open port, does not have shut-off.
We designed the original stainless QD's for the brewing industry over 10 years ago. The same manufacturer has been machining them for us ever since. The design has certainly been copied but not with consistent quality. That is why MoreBeer! Stainless QD fittings have a near unanimous 5 star review.
Please Note: This product will NOT work with our Brass or Plastic Quick Disconnects.
Smooth, ribless design prevents yeast and bacteria buildup, making sanitation a breeze
Punted bottom and conical top promote sediment collection and reduce oxidation during storage
Extra-wide 4" mouth opening simplifies filling, additions, and cleaning
Constructed from heavy-duty, virgin PET plastic without plasticizers
Made with food-grade and BPA-free materials
The Ported Fermonster is a brand new fermenter designed specifically for fermentation. MoreBeer! gave product feedback for over 2 years of development and we think they nailed the design. The large lid allows for easy filling and makes hop or oak additions a breeze. The smooth sides are fantastic for sanitization - no ribs or texture to collect yeast or bacteria. The 6 gallon size is great for most fermentations, and the larger 7 gallon is available for even bigger beers. The punted bottom allows sediment to collect to the sides so that you can siphon liquid from the center. Because they are made from virgin PET plastic they nearly unbreakable and a lot safer than similar glass carboys.
Due to the thickness of the material and the overall geometry the Fermonster does not require ribs or dimples for stability. That results in a super smooth interior surface that reduces yeast and sediment buildup making it the easiest to clean, most sanitary PET carboy on the market. The huge 4" opening makes filling a breeze, and cleanup is as easy as wiping down the inside. Fermonsters are easily moved by hand or consider using our Carboy Carrier for even greater ease of use.
These fermentors are completely air-tight and the lids sealed tight with an O-Ring. Additional O-Rings and Lids both with and without holes are available for purchase, see our You Might Also Need items below.
Features:

Automatically release pressure inside your fermenter during pressure fermentations Regulate beer flow during pressurized transfers from fermenter to keg Built-in pressure gauge for easy reference when adjusting the spunding valve Pressure gauge is interchangeable—swap to different pressure ranges that better suit your application Diaphragm spunding valves offer higher accuracy compared to spring & poppet spunding valves Comes complete with Duotight ball lock QD and rigid joiner With this complete kit you'll be ready to use the BlowTie 2 Spunding Valve right out of the box. The BlowTie is used to release excess pressure on a pressurized fermenter or from a receiving keg during pressure transfers. This diaphragm spunding valve is much more accurate than the spring and poppet style, and works much better at lower pressures. This version of the Spunding Valve Kit includes the Duotight Ball Lock QD which allows you to attach the BlowTie directly to the QD via the 8 mm rigid joiner. The BlowTie 2 can also be upgraded with a Digital Mini Pressure Gauge. Pressure Fermentation Pressure fermentation is becoming more and more popular at the homebrew level, but in order to do it safely and accurately, you need a way to release excess pressure. You'll pressurize your vessel to your desired psi, but once fermentation begins and those hungry, active yeast start creating CO2, the pressure inside the vessel will increase. Attach a spunding valve and set it to your desired pressure, and it will blow off when the pressure gets to high and close up again when it's back to your desired psi. Pressure Transfers Even if you don't have a pressurizable fermenter, you may have done pressure transfers from keg to keg during filtering or after fining. During pressure transfers, it's a good idea to have a bit of head pressure in the receiving keg, especially if you're transferring beer that is already carbonated. Having a spunding valve in place will allow you to consistently control the head pressure and give you more consistent results, without losing carbonation in the process. Diaphragm vs. Poppet With the poppet style spunding valve, a spring pushes against a poppet to keep the valve closed. When the poppet lifts up to open, the surface area the gas pushes against becomes larger, and the spring has to work harder to push the poppet down and reseal the valve. This can lead to more gas being released than intended, and the remaining pressure in your vessel may be at a lower psi than your spunding valve’s set psi. Instead of a poppet, the spring inside the BlowTie pushes against a diaphragm, which has an immensely larger surface area. This means the surface area that the gas pushes against while the diaphragm is closed is significantly closer to the surface area it pushes against when the diaphragm is open. This leads to higher accuracy, and the remaining pressure after excess gas is released will be much closer to your set blow off pressure.
With the FermZilla Pressure Kit you can ferment under pressure, carbonate, and serve without ever needing to move your beer out of the fermenter. The kit inlcudes two plastic female threaded ball lock fittings with barbs, which thread onto the existing openings atop the FermZilla's lid. For the beverage out, you'll have a silicone dip tube with stainless steel float, allowing you to always draw from the clearest beer at the top of the tank. Pick up the Pressure Kit and turn your FermZilla into a true unitank! Includes one red and one yellow ball lock cap to help differentiate which one is being used for liquid and which one for gas. Either color can be used for either function. The silicone dip tube is 31" long. It will work perfectly as is for the 55L FermZilla. For the 27L model we recommend cutting the dip tube shorter to remove unwanted slack. With the optional Floating Dip Tube Filter, you can prevent hop material and other solids from ever entering the dip tube. Especially handy when you're pulling samples mid-fermentation! Fermenting Under Pressure:
The pressure kit allows for fermenting under pressure, which will reduce esters and fusel alcohol production. This means you can ferment at warmer temperatures than you normally would, even making lagers at room temperature. Most commerical beer is fermented under pressure simply due to the size of commercial tanks and the pressure that is created by the column of beer. It is one of the distinct differences between homebrewing and brewing on a commercial scale. The FermZilla's lid already comes with a built-in pressure relief valve that will blow at 35 psi; the pressure kit simply allows you to add CO2 through the ball lock fitting. We strongly recommend that you also purchase an adjustable pressure relief valve, or spunding valve, which allows you to set a lower pressure. It's always a good idea to have two relief valves on the FermZilla anytime the unit is under pressure. Carbonating, Transferring, and Serving:
When you are fermenting under pressure the beer is already carbonated when you are done fermenting. You can control the level of carbonation by using a spunding valve. This means you can eliminate kegging and serve directly from the fermenter. We love this idea but there will probably still be times that you want to keg. Attach a beer line from the FermZilla's bev out to your keg and enjoy the easiest kegging experience ever. You can also choose to send carbonated beer through a beer filter on the way to your keg. When applying pressure with a CO2 tank also make sure that you have a functional relief valve on your CO2 regulator. Eliminate Oxidation:
Since the beer always has a CO2 blanket through fermentation and during any transfers out, oxidation is eliminated. When you cold crash you won't be sucking air back in through an airlock. Key Features:
Ferment beer under pressure to reduce ester and fusel alcohol production Always draw clear beer with the floating dip tube Keg beer that has already been carbonated Use CO2 to push beer into a keg or through a filter into a keg Eliminate kegging altogether by carbonating and serving directly from the FermZilla Installation Note: For best performance, ensure there is not an excess amount of slack when the silicone dip tube is installed and shorten it if needed. With the floating dip tube installed on your empty FermZilla, you ideally want the dip tube to hang freely with just enough length for the end of the dup tube to touch the bottom of the tank. Please note: pressure kit does not include the lid pictured in the example photo. The ball locks and floating dip tube are installed on the FermZilla's existing lid.
Get instant pressure reads with the back illuminated Digital Mini Pressure Gauge from KegLand. Swap out the analog pressure gauge on your Core 360 Mini CO2 Regulator, BlowTie 2 Spunding Valve, or Duotight In-Line Regulator. With a 0-90 psi pressure range, the Digital Mini Gauge is suitable for a wide range of applications. KegLand has developed the world's most compact mini digital gauge with backlight illumination. This very compact design retains high accuracy while still meeting the desirable small form factor. This meets the growing need as mini keg systems, mini regulators and other more compact keg dispensing solutions are required. Traditional analog gauges require a small capillary mechanism where a small pipe expands and unravels under pressure. This in turn drives a mechanical cog to rotate the gauge needle. This age-old technique works quite well especially in large gauges but as this mechanism is manufactured smaller and smaller a tradeoff between accuracy and size becomes the issue. With very small gauges such as a 27mm x 27mm Mini Gauge, it's difficult to make them better than 10% accuracy due to the physical constraints of the mechanical components. Compatible With: BlowTie 2 Spunding Valve Duotight In-Line Regulator w/ Gauge Core 360 Mini CO2 Regulator Specifications: Backlight Illumination: Hold yellow button for 3-5 seconds Battery Life: More than 2 years (using the mini gauge once a day) Battery Type: CR2032 Auto Battery Saver: automatically turns off after 15 sec Size: 27mm x 27mm (1" x 1") Radial O-ring Stem: 7.8mm Bore KegLand Part Number: KL1838 Please note: This gauge is not suitable for measuring pressure of liquids. It is only for measuring gas pressure. If liquid gets into the pressure transducer it will damage the gauge. Type F Camlock Fitting. Male Camlock with 1/2" Male BSP.
Camlock fittings are the preferred choice for many home and professional brewers alike. They have a higher working pressure and hold a tighter seal than quick disconnect fittings, making them less likely to leak while in use. Locking and unlocking the female pieces may require two hands, but it's a small price to pay for long-lasting reliability.
