Our Hombrew Jockey Boxes are perfect for pouring your delicious creations at a picnic, tailgate party, etc. But don’t let the name fool you, these Jockey Boxes (also called Draft Boxes) will pour a perfect pint of commercial beer as well. Simply set your lines up with a commercial keg coupler instead of a Ball or Pin lock fitting. These Homebrew Jockey Boxes are converted from Rubbermaid insulated coolers and will keep your craft beer pouring cold all day long. However if your looking for a more professional grade option check out our commercial jockey boxes made by KOMOS.
Add the perfect amount of restriction to any beer line to reduce foam. Eliminates the need for flow control in the faucet itself. Great for use in Jockey Boxes or anywhere you are serving beverages with varying levels of carbonation.
If you are currently using a long length of tubing to increase restriction you can now shorten your tubing. A shorter line holds less beer. Beer that is stored in the line tends to warm up quicker, adding to foaming issues, and is more likely to stale from bacteria present in the line.
Features:
Adjust flow with an included Allen wrench (keeps unauthorized people from adjusting the unit)
Eliminate foam from beer or slow down / speed up other beverages
Fix systems with issues without having to replace lines or faucets
Take the guesswork out of line restriction. You can use shorter lines and still have perfect restriction. You can also use larger ID lines and adjust as necessary.
Easy to disassemble for cleaning, clear body for easy monitoring
Made in Germany by CM Becker from Food grade plastic and stainless steel parts!
Comes Equipped with 2 x 3/16" Barbs
Easy to install to any existing beer line (cut line and install two clamps)
The KOMOS Rubicon Jockey Box is the ideal option for serving beer at your next cookout, tailgater, or camping trip. This dual tap jockey box is built around the ultra-tough, rotomolded Rubicon Cooler and features the aluminum cast cold plate for compact, efficient cooling. Everything you need to rig up the draft box is included and only takes minutes to assemble. Along with the cooler and cold plate, you'll receive stainless steel forward-sealing Intertap faucets, stainless Intertap shanks, self-closing faucet springs, tap handles, EVABarrier draft line, and Duotight fittings for all connections.
Rubicon Cooler
With durable rotomolded body, high density polyurethane insulation and compression seal lid, the Rubicon will hold ice for days on end, even in the hottest of climates. Rotomolding is a procedure that ensures every part of the cooler is made with a continuous thick wall with minimal imperfections. This makes the cooler extremely tough, and is one of the features that have made YETI® coolers such a hit. High density polyurethane foam walls offer superior insulation compared to cheaper ice chest options, which means ice will hold for far longer and ensure your jockey box doesn't warm up before you're done pouring beers. There are certainly cheaper jockey boxes out there, designed with far cheaper coolers, but none of them will stand up to the Rubicon's long-lasting performance.
Cold Plate
The Cold Plate is made from rugged aluminum casting with a large thermal mass for excellent heat absorption. High conductivity aluminum alloy aids the heat transfer as your beverage travels through the internal 18 ft. long stainless steel lines. We love cold plates for low volume applications, as they're easy to connect to, easy to store, and leave plenty of room in the cooler for other food or beverages.
Duotight Fittings & EVABarrier Draft Tubing
Duotight and EVABarrier have revolutionized how you connect draft line. We love it in the KOMOS commercial and residential kegerators, and we're excited to see the same ease-of-assembly introduced to jockey boxes. Duotight fittings offer a quick connection, reliable seal, and versatility. Setting up and connecting draft line has never been easier -- no more hose clamps or heating water to soften tubing! EVABarrier tubing has been engineered with protection in mind and is both PVC-free and BPA-free. This double walled tubing offers superior protection against oxidation, CO2 loss, and microbial growth. EVA tubing is the future of draft line for professional applications, and now your jockey box will feature the same first-class tubing.
We recommend adding Duotight fittings to use for your keg connections as well. Depending on whether you'll be serving from homebrew kegs or commercial sanke kegs, you'll need two DUO106 or two DUO104 per line.

With the MoreBeer! Jockey Box your beer will pour cold for hours! Take it camping, tailgating, or just pull it out when the gang is over. A Jockey box (or draft box) is a portable dispensing system used to cool beer as it travels inline from the keg to the faucet. The MoreBeer! Jockey Box includes an insulated cooler, two 50' x 3/8" stainless steel coils, shanks and beer line clamps.
Our jockey box does not include faucets or tap handles as standard, allowing you to pair it with the faucet model of your choice. Select your desired faucets from our add-on system above.
A favorite innovation in our draft box design is that we use larger 3/8" OD stainless steel tubing, which has two advantages over designs offered by other companies:
It cools a greater volume of beer, and cools it faster. The coil will hold approximately 33 oz of beer at a time.
The larger diameter line offers less resistance, which lets you push the beer with less CO2 pressure. Our boxes require about 10-15 psi from the CO2 tank to push the beer from the keg to the faucet (same pressure you use to dispense at home). Because the vast majority of beer lovers opt to keep their beer cool at all times to protect flavor (especially a homebrewer who is going to retap the same kegs at home!) and reduce foaming issues, most people opt to also ice the keg. The low applied pressure of 10-15 psi means that if you leave the system hooked up overnight, the beer will not over carbonate. If you do not plan on keeping the keg cold, which is perfectly fine, our system still works great because you can disconnect the line (if left for days) to keep the beer from losing carbonation.
We do not use shanks on the back side of our boxes. We drill holes slightly smaller than the line size so that a tight seal is created but you can still pull the line in when not in use, without having a wrench on hand. This makes storage and transport extremely easy. You will appreciate not having lines flopping everywhere.
You will need to purchase the appropriate keg coupers for your commercial kegs or quick disconnects for your homebrew kegs. You will also need a CO2 system, comprised of a CO2 tank and regulator.
Tips For Best Results:
It is much more likely for a beer left at a high psi to overcarbonate (become foamy) than a beer left at a low psi to lose carbonation. The reason is that gas will always keep coming from the regulator until the gas/beer pressure have reached an equilibrium, so over time the high psi setting becomes the pressure in the beer. However, for a beer to lose carbonation it has to come out of solution into the headspace in the keg. Because the headspace is limited, only so much CO2 can come out, and the keg pressure will not drop all the way down to the lower regulator pressure on its own. This is the reason that if you have overcarbonated a beer you have to repeatedly vent the keg, reducing the pressure in the headspace to 0, and allowing more gas to escape from the beer.
For the best performance when using a draft box, tests have shown that ice water is actually the most effective at cooling the coils. So, as the ice melts, do not open the drain valve on the cooler. Draft boxes with Cooling Plates (stainless coil embedded in aluminum) are designed to work with the valve open, ours is not.

This is a large rubber washer for use on beer shanks and jockey box shanks. These will help to create a seal around the hole that your faucet shank goes through.
This 50' x 3/8" coil, manufactured in the MoreBeer! metal shop, is perfect for the enterprising homebrewer who wants to build or upgrade a jockey box. When compared with 5/16" coils that are usually used to make draft boxes, the 3/8" coil holds more beer and offers more surface area for faster cooling. And, because there is less resistance from the larger diameter tubing, the beer can be pushed through the lines with less CO2 pressure. Lower applied CO2 pressure means your beer will not over carbonate and foam wildly if a keg is left on tap for longer than an afternoon. Over-carbonation is often an issue for homebrewers or beer drinkers who are using a draft box for an overnight party or weekend.

You can use pass through shanks for beer entry through the back side of a cooler. Drill a 1" hole through the cooler, insert the shank, and use the two attached nuts to tighten up on the cooler. You will need nuts and nipples of the size line you are working with as well as hose clamps. We do not use pass through shanks in our boxes because we drill a hole that is same size as the line so we can pull it back in when we are traveling. However there might be instances where they would be appropriate. Pass through shanks can also be used to put through the side of a refrigerator to pass a gas line through.
Installation Note: On a fridge there are generally no coolant lines running through the door but please check to see there are no lines connecting the door and the rest of the refrigerator. To test for coolant lines on a freezer start with a warm freezer then plug the unit in with the lid open. You should be able to see the lines form condensation on the inside of the freezer where there are lines running. Please still use caution when drilling.

Male Beer Thread (5/8" BSP)
The KegLand Aluminum Cast Cold Plate features an impressive thermal mass with excellent heat absorption characteristics. High conductivity aluminum alloy aids the heat transfer as your beverage travels through the internal stainless steel lines. Inlets and outlets come with standard 1/4" male flare thread so you can easily attach swivel nuts and barbs or Duotight adapters.
If you're making a jockey box for backyard cookouts, tailgaters, or camping trips, we highly recommend cold plates over draft coils. Cooling plates are perfect in low volume applications where space is an issue, and the low-profile design leaves plenty of room to store other food or beverages. If you're looking to serve beer at a festival or wedding where the beer might be constantly flowing, we would recommend stainless coils like those featured in the KOMOS Draft Box.
Performance Characteristics:
With 68°F ambient beer temp, flow rate through the cold plate of 10oz/10 seconds, and 70% coverage of ice in contact with the cold plate, you will be able to reduce the temperature of the liquid as it exits the cold plate to below 39°F with a single pass. If your beer is warmer than 82°F, we would recommend either slowing your flow rate through the cold plate or alternatively loop the two beverage lines together so the liquid passes through the cold plate twice.

What's cooler than being cool? Ice Cold. And that's just what your beer will be when stored in the KOMOS Rubicon Cooler. With durable rotomolded body, high density polyurethane insulation, and compression seal lid, the Rubicon will hold ice for days on end, even in the hottest of climates. Rotomolding is a procedure that ensures every part of the cooler is made with a continuous thick wall with minimal imperfections. The Rubicon is the ideal sidekick for camping trips, tailgaters, beach days, or wherever else you want to enjoy a cold beverage that tastes like it came straight out of the fridge.
If you're designing your own jockey box, we highly recommend the Rubicon Cooler. High density polyurethane foam walls offer superior insulation compared to cheaper ice chest options, which means ice will hold for far longer and ensure your draft box doesn't warm up before you're done pouring beers. Portable, Inline, Keg Dispensing unit that can be powered via 110V outlet
Replaces a traditional Draft Box/Jockey Box with no ice required
Differs from the regular Komos Kryo Inline Chiller in that there is no glycol reservoir / The Nomad is liquid-free and easier to transport
Can chill up to 2 gallons of room temperature beer, inline, per hour
NukaTap Flow Control Faucets, tap handles, and drip tray included
Mobile draft dispensing has never been easier with the KRYO Nomad electric keg dispenser. As with a jockey box, beer is chilled inline as it passes from the keg through the internal draft coils which are chilled by the electrically powered solid carbon based heat sink. With a standard 110V outlet, you can serve ice cold beers from an unchilled keg, and unlike the KRYO glycol unit, this model is absolutely liquid-free, making it the ideal choice for mobile draft dispensing. No need to wait an hour for glycol solution to chill, once you power on the Nomad, you'll be ready to go in as little as 15 minutes!
Carbon Heat Sink
The secret to the KRYO Nomad's incredible chilling capacity and portability is the solid carbon based heat sink. This heat exchange technology requires no liquid whatsoever, so you'll never run into issues with emptying or spilling coolant when you transport this chiller from place to place. It provides roughly 300 watts of cooling power which allows you to chill about 2 gallons of beer per hour. Just be sure to give the unit about 2 minutes to recover for each 16 oz pour. The Nomad is very power efficient, drawing only 60 watts of power when the compressor is running. When idling, the chiller uses only 1.6 watts of power, meaning it it averages only 15 watts of power draw when turned on and periodically cycling the compressor.
NukaTap Flow Control Faucets
These stainless steel forward sealing faucets allow you to make instant adjustments to the beverage flow as you pour. A perfect faucet for those who often switch between beer styles with different carbonation levels. No need to rebalance your lines or play with your regulator settings. Adjust the flow control level to dial in the flow rate and pour perfect pints every time! They also have the lowest thermal mass and best laminar flow design to further reduce foaming issues.
Duotight Bulkheads
Draft lines connect directly to 8 mm Duotight bulkheads located at the rear of the unit. To hook up your kegs to the KRYO Nomad, we highly recommend EVABarrier draft line and Duotight fittings—the same lines and fittings that come standard with our KOMOS Kegerators. 8 mm OD EVABarrier plugs directly into the bulkheads, then depending on what type of kegs you'll be pouring, you can use these Duotight Female Beer Thread Adapters for sanke keg couplers if you'll be dispensing commercial kegs, or for homebrew kegs, we recommend Duotight Flare Adapters for your QDs, or if you're starting from scratch, consider the Duotight Ball Lock Quick Disconnects.

Counter top inline keg dispenser that can serve ice cold beer from unchilled kegs
Compact and portable. Use anywhere you have access to 110V power
Superior cooling capacity. Chill up to 8 gallons of beer, inline, per hour!
Fill the reservoir with tap water, or use a glycol solution for optimal performance
NukaTap Flow Control Faucets, tap handles, and drip tray included
Great for bars, restaurants that need to add capacity
These style chillers are how beer is poured in most European cafes
If you're looking for a home draft system, but don't have the space for a kegerator or keezer, we've got the answer! The KOMOS KRYO benchtop keg dispenser can serve ice cold beer from unchilled kegs. It's essentially an electric jockey box that chills beer inline as it passes from the keg through the internal draft coils that sit submerged in the glycol reservoir. Simply place it on your counter or benchtop, fill the reservoir with a 20% glycol solution, and hook up your keg to the draft shank bulkheads. In roughly an hour, the reservoir will have cooled down enough that you'll be ready to pour! And thanks to the compact size, the KRYO can easily be transported from your home to the next backyard BBQ, cabin trip, wedding, or virtually any gathering of thirsty people you can think of. For homebrewers this would allow you to keep your refrigerator at fermenation temperatures while always seving your beer ice cold.
Glycol Reservoir
Although you can fill the reservoir with water only, for optimal performance we highly recommend using a glycol/water mix so you can lower the chilling solution below freezing. You simply won't be able to get your beer as cold if using water only. The sight gauge at the front will let you know if it's time to top up the reservoir, but also functions as a drain. When it's time to move the KRYO from one location to another, drain out the glycol into a sealable container to avoid spills during transportation.
The glycol reservoir provides an exceptional amount of cooling power that makes it perfect for servicing small bars or cafes, as well as home use. If you're deciding between this model and the KRYO Nomad, note that peak chilling capacity for this model is approximately 8 gallons per hour, whereas the Nomad can chill up to roughly 2 gallons per hour.
Draft Shank Bulkheads
The draft shank bulkheads with beer thread allow you to choose the type of fittings and draft line that best suits your needs. We highly recommend EVABarrier draft line and Duotight fittings—the same lines and fittings that come standard with our KOMOS Kegerators. These Duotight Female Beer Thread Adapters will allow you to hook up 8 mm OD EVABarrier, and also work with sanke keg couplers if you'll be dispensing commercial kegs. For homebrew kegs, we recommend Duotight Flare Adapters for your QDs, or if you're starting from scratch, consider the Duotight Ball Lock Quick Disconnects.

Reservoir Temp Controller:
Follow these steps to adjust the SET temperature on the controller. If using water only, be sure to keep the reservoir temp set at or above 2°C to avoid freezing. With a 20% glycol solution, you can set the temp as low as -2°C. The reservoir volume is 4.2 gallons, so you will only need to purchase 1 gallon of glycol to make a 20% mix.
Hold the 'Up" button for 3 seconds until the number is flashing
While the number is flashing, press the 'Down' button to decrease the set temperature or press the 'Up' button to increase the set temperature.
Wait 3 seconds and the controller will save the setting and return to normal operation mode.
Warning: Do not set the reservoir temperature controller lower than 28°F (-2ºC). Running the unit below this temperature may negatively affect the unit's efficiency and has the potential to freeze beer.

The size is 10mm which is between 1/2" and 3/8". When using with 3/8" hose you may need to slightly heat hose (using hot water) to stretch hose over barb (this is how we do it!) When using with 1/2" it will be loose, but we have used it with syphon hose and thicker high heat (EJ beverage or silicone) hose. Just make sure you clamp it properly to get a good seal.
