  • BrewBuilt SlingBlade Electric Heating Element - 240 Volt - PLACEHOLDER BrewBuilt SlingBlade Electric Heating Element - 240 Volt - PLACEHOLDER

BrewBuilt® SlingBlade Electric Heating Element (240V)

    3 reviews

The BrewBuilt SlingBlade is an innovative electric heating element designed to promote a rolling boil and even heat distribution. Shaped for Performance and Convenience The SlingBlade's unique crescent-shaped design positions all of the heating power on one side of the kettle, sending thermal energy upward to the surface that then cascades downward on the opposite side of the kettle. This movement creates a dynamic turbulence that evenly distributes heat while creating a vigorous, rolling boil. Other heating elements stick right out into the middle of the kettle or use a full circle design that rings the kettle wall. This can cause an obstruction for immersion chillers or make it difficult to stir without banging into the element. The SlingBlade was designed to avoid these issues. By remaining on one side of the kettle, the element will be out of the way of your immersion chiller, and since the element follows the curvature of the kettle wall, it won't interfere with the flow of wort during whirlpool. Ultra-Low Watt Density An electric element transfers power to your wort by applying heat, but if this heat is too concentrated you will get local heating that is hotter than 212°F. This catalyzes Maillard Reactions, which can lead to darker beer than intended and produce unwanted caramelization. Think of these reactions like roasting a marshmallow. First it gets a light brown, we call this Maillard reactions, a little hotter and it gets a dark brown, we call this caramelization, then it turns black and we call this pyrolysis (burnt or scorched). While all kettles undergo these reactions, an electric element can concentrate more heat into a small area, which can quickly scorch your wort. Our experience is that at 90-watts per square inch recipes need to be modified to account for the element and light beers never come out quite right. The SlingBlade element was designed at 50-watts per square inch to reduce the chance of scorching while still providing a vigorous boil. For even lower watt density, consider the Boil Vigor Controller. Tri-Clamp Connection The SlingBlade installs quickly and easily on any kettle with a T.C. ferrule thanks to the curved, non-circular design. This also makes it a breeze to remove the element for cleaning between uses. The SlingBlade heating elements were designed to fit perfectly with BrewBuilt brewing kettles, but you may find them suitable for other kettles as well. They should be used with T.C. ferrules no longer than 1" in length. For dimensions and recommended minimum kettle diameter, please see the chart below. • BrewBuilt 30 Amp Power Switch w/ Cord BrewBuilt 30 Amp Power Switch w/ Cord

    BrewBuilt® SlingBlade Watertight Power Switch

The easiest way to power the BrewBuilt™ SlingBlade! This professionally wired watertight switch gives you a simple On/Off control of your heating element. Switches both legs of a 220V 30AMP circuit and comes with 5 ft. input and output cords with molded LP6-30P ends. It also features two handy tabs for mounting to a wall. Don't wear out your expensive plugs and sockets hot patching your 220V burner elements. Plugging your element directly into a live power outlet will cause a small spark, and when done repeatedly this can damage the plug and the socket, especially with high voltage 220V appliances. Not only is the power switch more convenient to turn your element on and off during the brew day, it will eliminate the risk of damage done by hot patching.

Due to high demand, this item is currently out of stock. Be the first to receive your items by placing a pre-order today. We will automatically ship this to you when we receive more inventory.   304 stainless steel splash resistant construction Industrial design using commericial quality components for long life and easy serviceability Digital power reading for precise repeatability. No more guessing if you found the sweet spot on the dial Outlet fully disconnected when powered off for added safety, unlike some one-leg designs Linear power control for better repeatability at low power settings Wall mount bracket allows you to get the controller off the table and out of the way Dial your brew day up to 11 with the BrewBuilt™ Boil Vigor Controller! This controller allows you to control the current of a 208-240V heating element up to 30 amps. Perfect for dialing in your boil vigor for more consistent boil-off rates or adjusting the heat input to a still wash pot. The controller works by adjusting the percentage of power delivered to the heating element. The power is increased in a linear fashion from 0 to 100% as you adjust the dial from 1 to 11. Features industrial-style power switch, dial knob, and digital amm meter mounted on a splash resistant stainless steel enclosure. Pre-cut mounting holes allow you to hang the controller on your brew stand on the wall at eye-level. We highly recommend mounting the controller so you don't have to worry about keeping an area of your table dry where you might lay it down. L6-30 connections with 4 ft. cords on either end. Compatible with all 208-240V elements 30 amps and lower. While L6-30 are the most common elements available, yours may need an adapter. The Boil Vigor Controller uses a generously overrated SSR with a very large fan-cooled heatsink for better reliability. An SSR's life expectancy is directly related to its operating temperature, and this unit is built with the lowest Q heat dissipation system offered at the homebrewing level. It includes a contactor to fully shut off both legs when you throw the power switch, making the free end of the cord safer when the element is not plugged in. The display gives you a reading of the actual current being consumed by your element in Amps. On some systems, a small change in the adjustment makes a large current change at the element, especially at lower settings used during hop stands and distillation. The BrewBuilt controller provides a linear control and a digital readout to eliminate the guessing, allowing you to focus on your process and not your equipment. If you'd prefer not to mount the controller to your wall, consider the stainless steel Controller Stand.   **Caution: In order to avoid injury or death we strongly recommend using a GFCI in any circuit used near water. PLEASE NOTE: The supplier of this product has temporarily halted shipments to addresses within the state of California. If you are a CA resident, please note your order will not be fulfilled and will ultimately be canceled. We hope to have this issue resolved with the supplier as soon as possible. Versatile Functionality: The Create+ Boiler is compatible with two different distillation columns. Pair it with the Create+ T500 Column & Condenser to produce high ABV neutral spirits like vodka, or use it with the Create+ Alembic Copper Dome & Condenser for flavorful spirits such as whiskey and gin. Precise Power Control: With two power switches, you can choose between 1600W and 1100W. This allows for a more gentle and controlled boil, which is ideal for crafting more delicate spirits while preserving their unique flavors and aromas. Expandable Design: An included 2" Tri-Clamp to DN40 Threaded Adapter allows you to connect a wide variety of 2" tri-clamp accessories, providing the flexibility to experiment with different setups and attachments. The Create+ Boiler 25 L is the recommended boiler base for use with the Create+ T500 Column & Condenser and the Create+ Alembic Copper Dome & Condenser. With a maximum capacity of 25 liters, the Create+ Boiler is designed for distillers seeking precise control and versatile functionality. When paired with the Create+ T500, it can produce high-quality and high ABV neutral alcohol (vodka) or distilled water. When paired with the Create+ Alembic Copper Dome & Condenser it can create flavorsome spirits (gin, whiskey, rum and bourbon) and aromatic hydrosols, retaining delicate flavors and aroma from your wash or botanicals. The Create+ Boiler 25 L includes a 2" Tri-Clamp to DN40 Threaded Adapter allowing for connection to 2" tri-clamp accessories, so you can experiment with different setups and attachments. It features two power switches. When both switches are on, the element will be supplied full power (1600W for 120V units). You can lower this to 1100W by switching off the 500W switch (120V unit). This is ideal for maintaining a gentler boil during distillation, especially for dark spirits like whiskey, rum, and bourbon. For safety during operation the boiler features an automatic reset switch. The stainless-steel ball valve tap provides durability and ease of use when discarding your contents after distillation. Elevate your distillation experience with the Create+ Boiler 25 L, designed for flexibility, precision, and superior results across a range of applications. Whether you’re crafting spirits, distilling water, or producing hydrosols, the T500 Boiler offers the control and performance you need. DISCLAIMER: Please note that in certain countries alcohol distillation and the possession of distilling equipment is illegal and permits/licenses may be required. For guidance or advice, contact your relevant local authorities. Key Features Dual element control switches provide more control during distillation - when both switches are in the ON position, the element will be supplied full power of 2200W (1600 if using a US/CA unit). When one switch is in the OFF position, it will only consume 1100W (or 1100W/500W if using a US/CA unit) of power. Due to the integrated PT100 thermo probe, our RIMS units are only compatible with Ss Brewtech eControllers Our Recirculating InfuSsion Mash System (RIMS) features a 3500w Incoloy 800 helical element with a thermoprobe integrated into the base which is designed to read wort temperature as it leaves the RIMS housing.  When used with an InfuSsion Mash Tun, the system is designed to provide the brewer the temperature gradient between mash and recirculating wort, allowing the perfect pump speed to be dialed in.   The RIMs kit includes a fully welded housing with TC connections, silicone base, and neoprene insulating jacket.  For stabilization and control in a multi-step mash process there is simply not a better system on the market.   Connectivity was an important consideration for our eBrewing Systems, we wanted the flexibility and familiarity of a plug that could be adapted to an existing customer setup, and the reliability of a UL approved connector type.  For the 240VAC element connector, we settled on the common NEMA L6-30 standard, which is a 3-wire twist-lock plug type, capable of delivering 30 amps of current.  Finally, for the PT100 temperature probes we opted for the 3.5 mm mini jack connector standard, commonly used for headphones, which is both durable and easy to use. 3500w Incoloy 800 Helical Element w/ integrated thermoprobe Sanitary TC Connections Neoprene Insulation Jacket NEMA L6-30 Plug 240VAC

TWO - 240VAC 30AMP GFCI Dedicated Circuits Required Designing every piece of our electric brewing equipment from scratch has enabled us to introduce a new level of process control, flexibility, and performance.  Every detail has been carefully thought through and refined. Every component of our new eControllers were designed in house or selected to enhance the ebrewing experience.  Beginning with the custom extruded 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum housing, which is CNC machined, and then coated in a durable black anodized finish. Using this approach allowed us to keep the system compact, portable, and functional.  The housing includes an integrated carry handle for easy setup and take down, a tee-slot for alternative mounting options, along with a heatsink to keep the internal electrical components cool. The boilkettle output on the eController is driven by a fully proportional PID controller, which doesn't rely on high speed switching to modulate heat.  Instead, voltage is modulated through an internal SSVR, this means element wattage is proportional.  A switch located just above the PID allows the user to operate the controller in manual or automatic modes. In manual mode, the proportional output can be fine-tuned on a scale of 0-100% of total element output which is ideal for dialing in a perfect rolling boil.  Alternatively, in automatic mode, the PID algorithm manages the proportional output relative to process temperature, to hold a steady HLT or mash temp for instance.  The eController quickly finds equilibrium with environmental heat loss characteristics, and can maintain a high degree of accuracy during each brewing process. The heater button allows the user to cycle the element on or off without shutting down the power to the entire unit, or adjusting the PID output setting, which is especially helpful during the occasional boil-over. This feature also allows the controller to be used to monitor a process temperature, such as during runoff or latter stages of the sparge process without the risk of dry firing the element.  Lastly, the controller features two accessory outputs, which would commonly be used for pumps, but could also be used for a mill, lighting, or even a phone charger. Connectivity was an important consideration for our eControllers, we wanted the flexibility and familiarity of a plug that could be adapted to an existing customer supplied kettle or element, and the reliability of a UL approved connector type.  For 240VAC main power and element connectors, we settled on the common NEMA L6-30 standard, which is a 3-wire twist-lock plug type, capable of delivering 30 amps of current.   For the accessory connections, we settled on using a NEMA 5-15 standard, which is just a standard residential 120 VAC outlet.   Finally, for the PT100 temperature probes we opted for the 3.5 mm mini jack connector standard, commonly used for headphones, which is both durable and easy to use.
