The Beer Shank also called a Faucet Shank is a key component of any draft beer despensing system. It's what connects your beer line to your faucet. Most all shanks will come with a nipple for your beer line to connect to, those without a nipple are referred to as a Pass Through. The other main thing to look at when selecting a shank is it's lenth. Depending on your application you might need a long or a short shank. For instance a shank that fits in a draft tower would not normally be used in a converted fridge/freezer (keezer) build that requires fitting through the wooden collar or fridge door. We offer a wide selection of beer shanks that come in various legnths to fit any draft beer dispensing project you are working on.

You can use pass through shanks for beer entry through the back side of a cooler. Drill a 1" hole through the cooler, insert the shank, and use the two attached nuts to tighten up on the cooler. You will need nuts and nipples of the size line you are working with as well as hose clamps. We do not use pass through shanks in our boxes because we drill a hole that is same size as the line so we can pull it back in when we are traveling. However there might be instances where they would be appropriate. Pass through shanks can also be used to put through the side of a refrigerator to pass a gas line through.
