The IceMaster Max 2 is designed to cool fermentations in small vessels. It features 2 built-in submersible pumps with independent digital temperature controllers and can be used with any vessel that has a glycol jacket or submersed cooling coil/rod. Each controller includes a temperature probe that should be inserted into a thermowell in your vessel or can be taped to the outside of the vessel if you don't have a thermowell. The digital controller then measures the temperature of your tank and turns the submersible pump on or off to cool to your desired set temperature. Up to two tanks can be controlled separately with one IceMaster Max 2.
The Max 2 is the perfect unit for brewers with 1 or 2 fermentation vessels. The IceMaster 100 and IceMaster Max 4 are terrific chillers, but for they have far more cooling capacity than the average homebrewer needs. The Max 2 is the most affordable glycol chiller we offer, and thanks to the built-in submersible pumps and controllers, there's no need to purchase additional pump kits to use with your cooling system(s).
Compatibility
The IceMaster can be used with any fermenter that has a built-in cooling jacket, added CoolStix, or a submersed cooling coil. It works well as the cooling source for the following sytems and fermenters.
BrewBuilt Jacketed Uni Conical - we recommend one Insulated Tubing Kit for each tank. These kits feature "dry break" quick disconnects that prevent glycol loss and the insulated tubing will increase chilling efficiency and eliminate line sweating from condensation.
CoolStix - CoolStix can be added to a wide range of carboys, fermenters, and tanks and the IceMaster works really well in combination. Each CoolStix is available with or without a pump kit; for use with the IceMaster Max 2 you will only need the CoolStix and some tubing to connect it to the chiller.
Ss Brewtech Fermenters and Brites - Ss BME Chronicals, BME Brites, and Unitanks come with cooling coils and neoprene as standard. The optional chilling FTSs will not be needed for use with the Max 2.
Spike Conical with Optional Cooling Coil - the cooling coil for Spike CF series conicals is available for purchase independently from the TC-100 cooling system. For use with the Max 2 you will only need the the coil and some tubing to connect it to the chiller.
Speidel Tanks with Optional Cooling Jackets - You will need two lengths of tubing to connect the chiller to each tank.
Grainfather Fermenters - Grainfather fermenters have standard cooling jackets. You will need two lengths of tubing for each fermenter.
Blichmann Fermenators with Optional Cooling Coil - You will need two lengths of tubing for each Fermenator.
Capacity
It is always difficult to determine exactly how many tanks can be chilled at one time as it depends on what is happening in each tank, if the tank is insulated, and what the ambient temperature is. Cold crashing always requires the most energy and requires tank insulation. We have experimented with capacities and can provide this general guide based on a 75°F ambient and neoprene insulation. Neoprene provides a modest amount of insulation so you would obtain better results using Armaflex or a higher R rated insulation.
At 75°F ambient temperature with neoprene insulation, the Max 2 can cold crash one 1 BBL BrewBuilt Jacketed Uni or two Jacketed Unis up to 15 gallons in size at one time to 38°F.
Set Up
In order to hook up the IceMaster to your fermenter or tank's cooling system, you will need 2 lengths of tubing per vessel. All tubing connections should be secured with hose clamps.

The ideal vessel for serving pre-mixed cocktails and other concoctions on draft
Easily pour in your beverage of choice through the wide corny-style lid opening without needing to remove the spear
Doubles as a line cleaning keg
Rolled handles for a comfortable grip
Low2 lid O-ring reduces oxygen ingress by 96% compared to silicone O-rings when measured in a keg!
Made by an ISO certified commercial keg manufacturer with high-quality laser welded seams
The Torpedo Cocktail Keg is the ideal vessel for serving pre-mixed cocktails and other concoctions on draft. The corny keg style lid makes it easy to pour in your beverage of choice without having to fuss with removing the spear like with standard commercial sanke kegs. Hook up a D-Style keg coupler to begin carbonating the beverage from the bottom up. These kegs provide the added advantage of fully carbonating the entire cocktail. When making drinks on the fly, carbonation is lost quickly since you're mixing carbonated and still ingredients together. But when served from a fully carbonated keg, you can enjoy the bubbles in your glass for longer!
Draft lines needing some love? The Torpedo Cocktail keg easily doubles as a line cleaning keg. Simply fill with a batch of LLC or BLC to give your bev lines a little TLC.
Low2 Keg Lid O-ring
Give your beverage the absolute best protection from oxygen staling with the Low2 keg lid O-ring. Even the most perfectly sealed keg is susceptible to oxygen ingress through the hatch O-ring—yes, even if the keg is under constant pressure with CO2! Even a leak-free, pressurized keg will release CO2 molecules as they pass through the lid O-ring itself, and conversely, Oxygen molecules will permeate through the O-ring and diffuse into the keg when they reach the surface area on the other side. The level of permeability is wide ranging and highly dependent on what material the O-ring is made from. Rather than the usual EPDM or Silicone, Low2 gaskets are made from a unique composition of Synthetic M-Class and Cross-Link Elastomers. This special blend has superior oxygen barrier properties that results in your beverage staying fresher for longer.

Optional Keg Filling FOBs stop flow automatically once the keg is full, eliminating waste and making it even easier for a single person to operate the filler
Sight glass at the inlet allows you to monitor beer flow from the fermenter—check if you're pulling yeast or breaking CO2 out of solution
Elevated sample port for purging air from the system before filling runs
Made from high-quality Stainless Steel tri-clamp fittings, custom-welded stand, and reinforced silicone tubing
Shorten the time it takes to do your least favorite task with the MB Keg Filler. Our Keg Filler was designed by renowned brewmaster Colin Kaminski to make filling kegs a simple process that can be completed quickly. Connect your tank to the keg filler via the 1.5" butterfly valve inlet, which will enable you to shut off flow if you run into any issues. Monitor flow with the sight glass to see if you're pulling yeast, if there's air present in the system, or if CO2 is breaking out of solution because you're filling too quickly. The highest point in the filler is a plunger-style sample valve sitting at the opposite end, allowing you purge air out of the system and minimize oxidation. The high-quality stainless steel keg couplers have had the check valves removed so beer and CO2 can flow backwards when needed. Reinforced silicone tubing on the beer-out side offers more protection when cleaning and sanitizing the system with hot solution. Clear vinyl on the gas-out side operates as a sight glass to let you know what's happening in the keg—foam in the tubing indicates you're filling too quickly, while beer in the tubing indicates the keg is full.
The Manual Keg Filler is available with or without a Keg Filler FOB on each filling line. See the instructions below for operating the keg filling FOBs.

ForgeFit's rubber hose bumper is the ideal choice for brewery hose ends. Rather than being made from rigid plastic, the soft silicone is designed to absorb impact and help protect hose end fittings that are being continuously picked up and dropped to the floor. The bumper will also keep the hose ends raised off the floor to keep the fittings sanitized and avoid contamination. The two large handles allow you to pick up a hot hose without grabbing onto it directly.
2" ID will stretch over most 1.5" brewery hoses.

Our sleeves are machined from pipe to meet sanitary standards, avoiding the uneven compression and hard points caused by welding, and offering a superior surface finish that is both more hygienic and visually appealing
Novaflex Connoisseurs Beverage Hose Meets 3-A (cert# 1803), FDA & USDA standards
Tubing sets made from ForgeFit fittings and Novaflex Connoisseurs food & beverage tubing that are assembled in the MoreBeer! Pro metal shop in Pittsburg, California. The options above are already assembled and ready to ship. If these options do not suit your needs, custom lengths can also be made to order.
Novaflex is a special kink and crush resistant suction & discharge rubber hose, designed for those more demanding applications requiring a product that meets 3-A (cert# 1803), FDA & USDA standards. This tube is for non-oily applications. Designed to meet the temperatures and chemical resistance associated with “cleaning in place” systems. This ultra smooth microbe resistant tube is built on special stainless steel mandrels for cleanliness.
The ForgeFit barbed connector and crimp sleeve system is designed to provide a long life and easy to clean hose connection. The long barb and the long sleeve provide a secure crimp without crushing the hose. Triple banding can slip or damage the hose during installation and has sharp edges. The ForgeFit® hose barb skips the first barb to provide a gapless and smooth transition to the tubing to make it easier to keep clean. Our barb has a stop to ensure the hose does not creep closer to the clamp in service.
Don't forget to add hose bumpers to your order to protect your investment! The ForgeFit® Silicone Hose Bumper is designed to protect your hose ends by absorbing the impact of the hose end hitting the floor when it's dropped. The unique built in handle makes it easier to grab and saves your back.

Use your existing glycol system to cool your cellar
Eliminates the need to purchase an entirely separate refrigeration system
MR series fan units offer quieter operation compared to the SD-S units
Sized for well-insulated rooms up to 1,750 ft³
Made in Germany by Kreyer
Cool your cellar using your existing glycol system. Save energy and money! These units work under the same principles as standard refrigeration but use cooled glycol that you already have instead of cooled refrigerant gas, eliminating the need to have a separate refrigeration system. It is a fantastic use of your glycol system for a majority of the year when typically glycol systems are on but are being sporadically called upon. Glycol systems do need to be sized to accommodate both these fan units and peak duty during the crush to be able to accommodate all tasks at once.
Glycol from your main glycol chiller is recirculated through these fan units. Aluminum fins act as heat exchangers drawing heat out of your room as the fins are cooled by the glycol. If you have a Kreyer chiller/heater you can even heat a space in cold weather environments.
The heat exchangers inside the units are made from corrugated aluminum fins and internally grooved copper tubes. The white ABS casing looks great. Because of its rounded corners it has no water retaining areas favorable to germ development. Units are outfitted with stainless steel screws and show no sharp, cutting edges.
The MR series is quieter than the SD series but not as robust in construction.
Fan Unit Temp Control Upgrades:
1/2 in. Solenoid Valve - Allows or blocks flow of glycol through the fan unit. Needs to be connected to a Controller to function. A filter is recommended to protect the solenoid.
1/2 in. Solenoid Filter - protects the solenoid valve from any particulate or sediment.
Glycol Fan Control Unit - Set a specific temperature on this controller and it will open and close the solenoid valve.
Solenoid Connection Cable - This 2 meter long cable is required to connect the Solenoid Valve & Control unit.
Specifications of MR75:
Will cool well insulated spaces up to 1750 cubic feet while drawing 1/3 Ton of cooling power
Single Fan Unit (pictured is 3 fan unit)
220V connection required to run fan
You will need to connect to your existing glycol system
Inlet and Outlet: 3/8" OD bare copper pipe
