CellarScience® NECTAR Dry Yeast | Specialty Ale | Premium Beer Yeast
NECTAR is a unique yeast strain recommended for fruit-forward Pale Ales and IPAs Emphasizes fresh malt flavor while contributing fruit, citrus, and floral flavors Designed to be sprinkled directly onto the surface of your wort with no pre-oxygenation before pitching required Ferment between 63-72°F CellarScience offers high-quality yeast that is easy to use, consistent, and available at a tremendous value A fun, unique yeast with a UK pedigree that emphasizes fresh malt flavor while producing fruity, citrus and floral flavors. Perfect for Pale Ales and IPA's. Like all CellarScience yeast, NECTAR is eligible for direct pitch straight into your wort. CellarScience provides 12g of yeast per sachet, which is up to 9% more than any other brand of dry yeast. Every batch of yeast is PCR tested to ensure quality. NECTAR has been selling to pro breweries for awhile but was just recently packaged down to sachets for homebrewers. Dosage: One sachet is enough to treat a 5–6 gallon batch. When calculating for larger batches, use at a rate of 2–3 grams per gallon of wort. We recommend rounding up by one full sachet rather than measuring out the yeast exactly. Direct Pitch or Rehydrate: NECTAR yeast is designed to be sprinkled directly onto the surface of your wort with no oxygenation required in the initial fermentation. Our aerobic growth process makes this possible by creating dry yeast with high viability and high sterol levels. NECTAR yeast is pre-loaded with essential nutrients to ensure a successful, complete fermentation. While not required, some brewers prefer to rehydrate yeast. To hydrate yeast, first, sanitize the yeast brick and scissors. Use 10 grams of sterilized tap water between 85-95°F (29-35°C) mixed with 0.25 grams of FermStart per gram of yeast. Sprinkle yeast on the water. Allow the slurry to stand undisturbed for 20 minutes, then swirl. Use small amounts of wort to adjust to within 10°F (6°C) of wort temperature before pitching. Ferment between 63-72°F (18-22°C). Optimum Fermentation Temp: 63-72°F Flocculation: Medium Alcohol Tolerance: 12% ABV Similar Strains: N/A Attenuation: 75-80% Gluten-free CellarScience Yeast: For years liquid yeast has been sold as the higher quality option but times are changing. Yes, 20 years ago dry yeast was made by bread yeast producers and the quality was not as good as liquid yeast. CellarScience is helping to flip that script with a full lineup of high-quality dry yeasts. Cell count and viability is usually higher than commercial liquid yeast pitches, which vary from pouch to pouch and don't ship well. CellarScience yeast can be pitched directly in most batches of wort, offering significant time savings. Yeast that is quick and easy to use, high quality, and available at a reasonable cost adds up to a tremendous value. Quality yeast that doesn't "break the brink". CellarScience Nutrients: For high gravity ferments consider rehydrating yeast with CellarScience FermStart yeast hydration nutrient. For high gravity or low nutrient wort, feed your fermentation with CellarScience FermFed DAP Free complex yeast nutrient mix.

Temp Twister Cooling Coil
The Temp Twister Cooling Coil is the ideal option for maintaining fermentation temperatures in any model FermZilla. Use an IceMaster Glycol Chiller or ice bath with submersible pump to push coolant through the coil when temps get too hot. Designed for the FermZilla but can can be used with virtually any fermenter that has an opening diameter of 3-3/4" or wider. The inlet and outlet are extra long so the coil can be used with every sized FermZilla. In order to cut them to an appropriate length for your application, we recommend this compact pipe cutter. To install, simply drill two 22 mm (approx. 7/8") holes into the lid of the fermenter and use the included Duotight bulkhead fittings to attach the coil to the lid. The FermZilla will still be pressurizable after installing the Temp Twister, just be careful to drill the holes no wider than needed to fit the Duotight bulkheads. If you're using the Temp Twister with EVABarrier tubing, we suggest adding 2 x DUO112 to your order to help route your inlet and outlet lines. Specifications: Coil Diameter - 3-3/4" Coil Height - 14" Overall Length - 26.75" Tubing Diameter - 3/8" OD Made from 304 Stainless Steel Includes 2 x 9.5 mm Duotight bulkheads Kegland Part number: KL14618

Potassium Sorbate (Sorbistat K)
Sorbistat K, Potassium Sorbate, ensures against renewed fermentation in wine when residual sugar is added post the initial ferment. Add at the rate of .5 to .75 grams per gallon (125-200ppm) in conjunction with .3 grams of meta-bisulphite (50ppm) per gallon. Use the higher end of the range (200 ppm) as the wine's pH approaches or exceeds 3.5 or when the alcohol conent of the wine is below 10%. Note: Will not stop an active fermentation. Potassium sorbate should not be used if the wine underwent an ML fermentation because sorbic acid (in the potassium sorbate) will react with lactic bacteria to produce a "geranium" smelling off-flavor. A rough approximate of weight is 1 tsp = 2.3 grams. We highly recommend using a scale to weigh the product for an accurate dose. We do not recommend relying on these rough conversions for accurate dosage rates.

Mosaic® Brand HBC 369 | Cryo Hops®
A reliable workhorse for Hazy IPAs, West Coast IPAs, Pale Ales, and Hoppy Lagers Aroma Profile: Berry, Citrus, Stone Fruit, Tropical Alpha Acids: 18.0 – 26.0% Cryo Hop® Hop Pellets Higher AA and nearly twice the resin content of traditional T-90 hop pellets Increase yield by reducing vegetal matter in your brewhouse and fermenter Cryo Hops® provide brewers with the ability to get gigantic hop character while reducing astringent and unpleasant vegetal flavors. Additionally, the lower dosage rate of the concentrated powder reduces the volume of trub and therefore, kettle loss. Using Cryo Hops® you will net more beer that is clearer! Typical usage of Cryo Hops® would be roughly 50% of pellets. LupuLN2 powder can be used in any application where traditional hop products are utilized, including: Bittering, Kettle, Whirlpool and even direct to the fermentor. It is suggested that you use Cryo Hops® as late additions, in the whirlpool or dry hop, as the volatile aromatic compounds will be driven off if added early in the boil. Caramel 150 (60L) Malt - Viking Malt
60 °L - Viking Malt - Raisins, prunes, and brown sugar are flavors we get from this malt. Caramel 150 is the equivalent of Crystal or Caramel 60 in color but very different flavor. We love this malt and think it is dynamite in rich brown ales, killer in Dubbels, and perfect in any darker style where you want that rich background. By comparison Viking Caramel 100 has flavors of sweet wort which are more traditional in flavor but none of the sweet raisin in 150. On the other side, Caramel 200 still has raisin and prune but it is has the beginning of a burnt characteristic. Viking Caramel Malts are made from green malt . A high degree of caramelization is characteristic of this malt. The amylolytic activity of Caramel Malts is zero. Maillard products formed in the process can act as antioxidants and contribute to flavor stability. Caramel Malts usually improve foam quality and head retention. Caramel Malts are well suited for winter beers, ale-type beers and other aromatic beers like dark lagers and stouts. Small amounts can be used for color adjustment and flavor enrichment of pale lagers as well. Compared to Cara Plus, Caramel Malts have a stronger character. Pectic Enzyme
When you make a specialty beer with fruit, you want it to look brilliant as well as taste amazing. This Pectic Enzyme will take the haze out of your brew and keep it looking clear. Pectic Enzymes are used to reduce the hazing effect of pectins when using real fruit in your beer, wines, or meads by breaking down the pectin in the fruit so it doesn’t show up as a haze in your finished product. To use, mix 2 tsp of pectic enzyme with cold water and add to 5 - 6 gallon of wort before the start of fermentation. Enzymes denature above 150° Fahrenheit (approximately) so only add them to your product after it has cooled.

LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

Duotight BlowTie 2 | Complete Kit | Diaphragm Spunding Valve | Built-In Pressure Gauge | 0-15 PSI | 8 mm Duotight | CM Becker Ball Lock Quick Disconnect (QD)
Automatically release pressure inside your fermenter during pressure fermentations Regulate beer flow during pressurized transfers from fermenter to keg Built-in pressure gauge for easy reference when adjusting the spunding valve Pressure gauge is interchangeable—swap to different pressure ranges that better suit your application Diaphragm spunding valves offer higher accuracy compared to spring & poppet spunding valves Comes complete with ball lock QD, Duotight adapter, and rigid joiner With this complete kit you'll be ready to use the BlowTie 2 Spunding Valve right out of the box. The BlowTie is used to release excess pressure on a pressurized fermenter or from a receiving keg during pressure transfers. This diaphragm spunding valve is much more accurate than the spring and poppet style, and works much better at lower pressures. This version of the Spunding Valve Kit includes the CM Becker Ball Lock QD, often considered the finest quality in plastic ball lock quick disconnects, and an 8 mm Duotight Flare Adapter for connecting to the BlowTie. The BlowTie 2 can also be upgraded with a Digital Mini Pressure Gauge. Pressure Fermentation Pressure fermentation is becoming more and more popular at the homebrew level, but in order to do it safely and accurately, you need a way to release excess pressure. You'll pressurize your vessel to your desired psi, but once fermentation begins and those hungry, active yeast start creating CO2, the pressure inside the vessel will increase. Attach a spunding valve and set it to your desired pressure, and it will blow off when the pressure gets to high and close up again when it's back to your desired psi. Pressure Transfers Even if you don't have a pressurizable fermenter, you may have done pressure transfers from keg to keg during filtering or after fining. During pressure transfers, it's a good idea to have a bit of head pressure in the receiving keg, especially if you're transferring beer that is already carbonated. Having a spunding valve in place will allow you to consistently control the head pressure and give you more consistent results, without losing carbonation in the process. Diaphragm vs. Poppet With the poppet style spunding valve, a spring pushes against a poppet to keep the valve closed. When the poppet lifts up to open, the surface area the gas pushes against becomes larger, and the spring has to work harder to push the poppet down and reseal the valve. This can lead to more gas being released than intended, and the remaining pressure in your vessel may be at a lower psi than your spunding valve’s set psi. Instead of a poppet, the spring inside the BlowTie pushes against a diaphragm, which has an immensely larger surface area. This means the surface area that the gas pushes against while the diaphragm is closed is significantly closer to the surface area it pushes against when the diaphragm is open. This leads to higher accuracy, and the remaining pressure after excess gas is released will be much closer to your set blow off pressure. Kit Includes: BlowTie 2 w/ Integrated Pressure Gauge (0-15 psi) CM Becker Gray Ball Lock Disconnect Duotight Flare Fitting 8 mm OD Rigid Plastic Joiner

One Step Cleanser
One Step is an excellent oxygen based, no-rinse hard surface cleanser designed for brewers and wineries. Contains no chlorine, which can leave a film on glassware and corrode stainless steel. Requires two minutes of contact time, no rinsing required! Environmentally friendly and non-toxic. Use 1 tablespoon per gallon of water. What is One Step? One Step is the only environmentally sound, non-toxic, no-rinse cleanser on the market today for brewers and wineries. Unlike other cleansers that require rinsing because of their alkaline nature or that use material that can be harmful to the environment, One Step—the original no-rinse cleanser—uses active oxygen to clean your equipment. In addition to being designed to minimize residue and while maximizing detergency, One Step uses oxygen entrained within a mineral crystal that dissolves when combined with water. The oxygen is then released to form hydrogen peroxide—a compound long known for its sanitizing and disinfectant abilities. The hydrogen peroxide completes its work and then degrades into oxygen and water, leaving behind only the minerals that are stable, naturally occurring compounds—no different than minerals often found in drinking water. Because One Step is essentially non-foaming when used at the recommended concentration, it may be used in clean-in-place (CIP) systems as well as in the soak tank. One Step may be used on, essentially, all surfaces and is safe for brass, copper, aluminum and stainless, as well as polycarbonate and vinyl. Soaking and Manual Washing: Dissolve 0.5 oz per gallon of water. If heavy soils are present, 1–2 oz will boost detergency but remember to rinse to remove residue as well as soil. If surfaces are visibly clean prior to washing, no rinsing is necessary. CIP Cleaning: Use 0.5 oz for daily treatment of minimally soiled vessels and equipment, but for heavily soiled vessels such as fermenters, 3 oz is recommended. Heat the solution to 120–180°F and circulate for 30 minutes. Follow with a clean water rinse.

Carbonation and Line Cleaning Ball Lock Quick Disconnect (QD) Cap - Yellow Plastic
This plastic ball lock cap features soda bottle threads, allowing you to convert a 1 or 2 liter soda bottle into a convenient travel growler. The ball lock is compatible with both gas and beverage disconnects, so you can charge the PET bottle before you leave the house and dispense on the go. Attach 3/16" or 1/4" ID tubing to the barb to serve as your dip tube and you're all set! These caps also work great for quickly and conveniently cleaning your draft lines. Mix up a small batch of line cleaning solution in a soda bottle, attach the ball lock cap, and then connect it to your beverage line. Place a bucket below your tap to catch the cleaning solution and open your faucet. Then simply turn the bottle upside down and squeeze it to push solution through your line and out the faucet. You can also choose to pressurize the bottle first, but squeezing the solution through is just as effective. Fermenting with the FermZilla? This is the same ball lock fitting included with the FermZilla Pressure Kit and it's also compatible with the FermZilla Collection Container. If you use the collection container to add dry hops, attach one of these caps and you'll be able purge the container of oxygen before opening the dump valve to introduce the hops. Attach some tubing and diffusion stone and you can oxygenate your wort through the collection container as well! When using two ball lock caps, we recommend pairing this yellow plastic cap with a red plastic cap so you can easily identify which caps are being used for liquid or gas. The barb is Duotight compatible. If you'd like to use the cap with 8 mm OD EVABarrier tubing, see DUO10. For a stainless steel option see KG50. Like all CellarScience yeast, CALI is eligible for direct pitch straight into your wort. CellarScience provides 12g of yeast per sachet, which is up to 9% more than any other brand of dry yeast. Every batch of yeast is PCR tested to ensure quality. CALI has been selling to pro breweries for awhile but was just recently packaged down to sachets for homebrewers. Dosage: One sachet is enough to treat a 5-6 gallon batch. When calculating for larger batches, use at a rate of 2-3 grams per gallon of wort. We recommend rounding up by one full sachet rather than measuring out the yeast exactly. Direct Pitch or Rehydrate: CALI yeast is designed to be sprinkled directly onto the surface of your wort with no oxygenation required in the initial fermentation. Our aerobic growth process makes this possible by creating dry yeast with high viability and high sterol levels. CALI yeast is pre-loaded with essential nutrients to ensure a successful, complete fermentation. Cell count and viability is usually higher than commercial liquid yeast pitches, which vary from pouch to pouch and don't ship well. CellarScience yeast can be pitched directly in most batches of wort, offering significant time savings. German Mandarina Bavaria | Pellet Hops
Released in 2012, this is one of the brand new hops from Germany that is making craft brewers around the globe take notice. Mandarina is extremely limited and in high demand for all kind of beer styles. It is being used in IPA, Saisons, you name it. It is known for having a fruity, citrusy, Mandarin Orange flavor, hence the name. It is a daughter hop of Cascade grown in Germany and is also said to slightly enhance sweetness. We are thinking IPA but since this hop is so new we would love to see your reviews.
