A classic West Coast IPA modeled after Sierra Nevada's Celebration. Balanced malt character, deep reddish color and plenty of hop bitterness

There are certain beers that you can't help but associate with a specific time of year, and there might be no better example than Sierra Nevada's Celebration IPA. As the year begins to wind down and we enter the holiday season, our eyes instinctively start scanning the shelves for those striking red labels. Once you've enjoyed that first pint of Sierra's signature seasonal release, it's hard to resist leaning into the holiday spirit. Sierra brews this recipe every year with their most recent haul of fresh, hand-selected hops, making each release slightly unique to past iterations. Even though our clone kit doesn't contain fresh hops, we strived to make a recipe that celebrates the character of Cascade, Centennial, and Chinook hops with heaps of citrus, piney, and floral notes.
Our Holiday Hops kit is a classic West Coast IPA with a distinct, but balanced malt character, deep reddish color and plenty of hop bitterness to match the bite of winter weather. Cascade, Centennial, and Chinook hops are employed up and down the brew schedule, from the top of the 90-minute boil to the final dry hop addition days before packaging. We highly recommend using a Chico yeast strain for fermentation—it's a Sierra Nevada ale recipe after all!

Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME)
MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

This 30W Heating Belt will gently warm your fermenter without creating major hot spots. Heating belts are often chosen over heating pads for the simplicity of adjusting the height of the belt on your fermenter to increase or decrease the heat transfer. And they're especially useful for smaller vessels where a heating pad would be simply too large.
For the best results, pair the Heating Belt with a temperature controller so that heating is only provided when your fermentation drops below your set point. If you're using a fermentation chamber or other form of chilling, the temperature controller will be able to switch between heating and cooling as needed.
Comes with a standard 2-prong US style 110V plug. Please disregard the example photo that shows an AU style plug.

Heavenly Haze is our series of single-hop Hazy IPAs. Whenever a hip new hop hits the scene, we're as excited to brew with it as you are! We developed Heavenly Haze to use a straight-forward hazy IPA malt bill as a base that's shared between all Heavenly Haze recipe kits—the only thing that changes is your hop of choice! This allows you to really zero in on the different flavors and aromas of one particular hop, and it's how we recommend experiencing a new hop you haven't brewed with before. We'll continue to expand our Heavenly Haze series to include newly released hops that are perfect for NEIPAs, as well as circle back to include some of our favorite hazy hops that have long been available.
The kiwis keep it coming with yet another hop varietal that's bursting with character. Riwaka™ varietal 85-6-23 was originally bred by New Zealand Hops by crossing Saaz with specially developed breeding selections. The result was a highly aromatic hop with almost double the oil content of its parent Saaz. Realesed in 1997, this was once an exceedingly difficult hop to get your hands on outside of New Zealand, as it was quickly bought up by the native brewers. With an almost 1:1 alpha to beta acids ratio, this rockstar aroma hop gives off strong notes of citrusy grapefruit and kumquat. Perfect for new world pale ales, IPAs, hoppy lagers, and any beer you want a bold fruity hop character to shine.

Water is arguably the most critical and least understood of the foundation elements in brewing beer. Water: A Comprehensive Guide for Brewers, third in Brewers Publications’ Brewing Elements series, takes the mystery out of water’s role in the brewing process. From an overview on sources, quality and geography, the book leads brewers through how to read water reports, understanding flavor contributions, and the treatment and chemistry of brewing water. A discussion of adjusting water to styles of beer, residual alkalinity, malt acidity, mash pH, brewery process water and wastewater treatment is included.
Written by John Palmer and MoreBeer!'s own Colin Kaminski.

If you want to learn the art of homebrewing, this book is the place to start.
How To Brew contains basic information for the first time brewer and technical information for the Master Brewer. This was the first book to include legitimate in-depth information on all-grain brewing at home. The author is a passionate homebrewer and a metallurgist by trade. There is a great section on the different metals involved in brewing and how to treat and care for them. The information in this book is so valuable, you will continue to refer back to it year after year--we know we do.
This is a new and updated version of How To Brew with more emphasis on the "top five priorities":
Sanitation
Fermentation Temperature Control
Proper Yeast Management
The Boil
The Recipe

Take temperature readings instantly and from a safe distance with this infrared thermometer gun. Use it to check how close you are to the hot break before your boil, or measure the temp of your empty mash tun and grains to help predict temperature loss when you add strike water and mash in. Dual lasers is an important feature when choosing infrared thermometers because it allows for much higher accuracy. When measuring an object, a dual laser thermometer gun will help you greatly in finding the convergence point of the measured target and spot ratio. This can only be achieved with a dual laser unit.
Features:
Double Laser pointer for higher accuracy
Simple one-handed operation
Laser ON/OFF switch
Low battery indication
LED backlight
Reads in °F / °C
Automatic shutdown after 15 seconds
Display hold, Scan function
FCC, CE, ROHS Certified
Notes:
1. When using this product to measure temperature, consider the ratio between the distance (the length from the product to the measured object) and the size of the measurement area, referred to as the object distance ratio. When the distance between the product and the measured object increases, the measurement area will increase accordingly.
2. If you want to use boiled water to measure the unit's accuracy, do not allow smoke or water vapor to contact the temperature sensing area, and keep the measurement angle at 45 ~ 60 degrees.
