Make your Gen 4 BrewZilla even smarter by pairing it with the RAPT Bluetooth Thermometer
Take mash temp readings from the top and bottom of your grain bed simultaneously
Set a temperature diffential between the readings to enable the BrewZilla RAPT controller to more accurately maintain temps and perform mash steps
Monitor coolant water temps during distillation runs and set alarms to alert you if the temperature is too high
Automatically log brew days with detailed information to your RAPT Portal account
Huge temperature range from -4°F to 572°F is easy to read on the backlit digital display
Orange backing plate can clip to the rim of your BrewZilla and is also magnetic
AAA batteries included
This low energy, RAPT-enabled Bluetooth Thermometer is compatible with the Gen 4 BrewZilla, RAPT Temperature Controller, and RAPT Fermentation Chamber. It will not work without one or more of these devices.
By receiving multiple BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) thermometer sensors, the BrewZilla can make smarter and more automated decisions on how to control the brewing or distillation process. For example, the BLE thermometer probe can be put into the middle of the malt pipe so the BrewZilla can more accurately control elements switching on/off to achieve a core malt pipe temperature, or the thermometer can be placed into your coolant water during distillation runs so you get an alarm if the temperature is too high.
RAPT Connectivity
The new Bluetooth thermometer can connect up to your BrewZilla Gen 4, RAPT Temperature Controller, or RAPT Fermentation Chamber and log that temperature data and manipulate fermentation/brewing and distillation profiles in the RAPT Portal. This greatly reduces the need for handwritten records of your brew day as it's all done automatically. The RAPT portal also allows you to see every brew you have done in the past with logged temperatures from the main unit's probe and this digital thermometer. This unit can also be set up to send push notifications to your mobile phone of when it's time to begin sparging or begin other steps in your brewing process.
Along with this ease of access and control, the RAPT BrewZilla will also allow you to fully customize your brew day with profiles specifically tuned to your style of brewing or your recipe. For example, you could set up step mash profiles using the core temperature of your mash instead of the cavity below where the BrewZilla's main temp probe is located. Greater accuracy for a more repeatable recipe that results in much better beer!

If you want a quick and easy way to take gravity readings during the brewing process, then a refractometer is the tool for the job. Taking hydrometer readings during the brew tends to be a time-consuming process, and by the time you get a reading it may be too late to react. This is because you need to take a large sample and cool it to get an accurate reading. A refractometer allows you take instant gravity readings, with just one drop, at any point during the boil, or even during the run off of the sparge during an all-grain brew. These 'during the process' readings allow you to add more water or boil longer so you can attain exactly the gravity you desire.
Traditional refractometers without ATC are calibrated to work at 68°F. The ATC function allows you to use the refractometer in an ambient temperature range of 50-86°F (10-30°C). Since your sample is just one drop, and will quickly adjust to the temperature of the refractometer, the temperature of the sample is irrelevant. This unit also comes with a manual calibration knob that is secured with a lock nut. To calibrate place one drop of distilled water on the testing platform and adjust to zero if necessary. The LED light is a handy feature that helps illuminate the sample and make the scale easier to read.
Features:
Triple Scaled
0-32 Brix
0-1.130 Specific Gravity for Wort
0-1.130 Specific Gravity for Sugar
Water resistant enclosure
Adjustable focus eyepiece with rubber grip
Automatic Temperature Compensation

The Zahm SS-60 Volume Meter was developed to determine average CO² levels of gas in tank stored beverages. Its improved design over the older Zahm-Hartung Volume Meter (Series 2000) greatly improves accuracy and time required to run a test. A precise piston release mechanism eliminates bleeding off of the sample and the potential for human error. Samples undergo repeatable, precise volumetric expansion test after test for more accurate measurements. The lightweight design reduces operator fatigue while the stainless steel construction increases strength and resists corrosion. The thermometer may also be replaced in the field without the need to return it to the factory for replacement. The parts list and line drawing should be used when ordering replacement parts or operating the instrument.
A replacement electrode for the MT608 & MT609 pH meter. The electrode is the consumable portion of the pH meter which actually makes the measurement. All pH electrodes wear out over time and must be replaced. If your meter is having trouble calibrating or the reading drifts then a bad electrode is the likely culprit.

MoreBeer!'s Favorite SmartRef Benefits:
Only refractometer we know of that has alcohol correction built in. Gives an accurate reading during fermentation when an original reading is taken
Only requires the smallest of samples
Dual purpose: Can be used in the field to measure sugar content of grapes
Costs less than the Anton Paar EasyDens. EasyDens gives accurate readings at any point during fermentation without the need for an original reading.
Our Take: The SmartRef is a very smart digital refractometer. Unlike other refractometers on the market, it will automatically correct for alcohol during fermentation (currently only in beer) and give you an accurate reading. In order for the SmartRef to make the required adjustments for alcohol, it is required that you take an original reading before fermentation. This is a key difference from the Anton Paar EasyDens. With the EasyDens you can take a reading at any point during fermentation without the need of an original reading. Does that feature make the EasyDens worth the extra money? That is up to you of course, but sometimes in brewing we forget to take an initial reading on brew day.
When used together the SmartRef and EasyDens allow for some very unique measurements like the ability to know the original gravity of a beer even without an original reading. To learn more about using these meters together, click here.
SmartRef Features:
Wide measuring range from 0 to 85 °Brix (0 to 62.7 °P)

Like many thermometers that were built for cooking and food processing, we find this digital oven thermometer to be just as useful for brewing applications. The cable allows you to place the temperature probe where needed and view the temperature reading from a convenient location. Especially helpful if your mash tun or hot liquor tank sit high up on a tiered gravity system. It also has a programmable alarm for when you hit your temp and a timer function you can use to track your mash progress or boil additions.
Please note: the cable attached to the probe is not waterproof so be careful to not let it be fully submerged. If this does occur and your readings are off, you can place the probe in the oven (leaving the plug outside) and bake for 1 hour at 375°F to boil the moisture out of the probe.
Broad temperature operating range 0-250°C (32–482°F)
Temperature display resolution 1 degree C
Timer range 99 min 59 sec
Timer alarm function
High temperature alarm function

Made with durable borosilicate 3.3 glass, these Erlenmeyer flasks are suitable for most applications. They feature a heavy-duty beaded rim to help prevent breakage and have easy-to-read graduations. Able to withstand temperatures of -50 to 550 °C (-58 to 1022 °F), they are autoclavable for sterilization.
In the lab world, these flasks are known as "Student Grade". Student grade is not the highest grade flasks and will have minor defects.
Please note this 125mL flask has a narrow neck compared to our Y402 unit and will not accept a #5 stopper. This unit will need a #3 stopper.

Care and Use
pH meters usually start performing poorly because of problems with the probe. The two parts of the pH probe that cause problems are the glass sensing bulb and the reference junction.
Sensing Bulb
The glass bulb loses sensitivity with use and will eventually fail. This is true of all pH probes.
Reference Junction
The reference junction is a small hole that allows the meter to compare the sample to a reference. The reading is generated based on the electrical difference between the sample and reference. If the junction hole gets clogged, the pH electrode will no longer function.
You can extend the life of your pH electrode in the following ways.
Storage
To minimize clogging the pH probe needs to be kept hydrated. Long periods of dry storage will damage the sensitivity of the probe. Allowing the probe to dry out may also result in the junction hole getting clogged.
Storing in pH probe storage solution or pH calibration buffers will help address both these issues. Do not store in tap water and DI water. This will damage the sensitivity of the probe.
The best way to store the probe is with the probe's cap filled with storage solution or calibration buffer and the cap tightened to prevent leakage. It is also recommended that to store the electrode upright to further reduce the potential for leakage.
Cleaning and Maitenance
Residue from the sample can impact the sensitivity of the sensing bulb and clog the junction. This is especially true if the sample has a lot of organic material. We recommend regularly soaking your electrode in cleaning solution. Also:
Inspect the electotrode for damage or scratches, if present replace the electrode.
Inspect the cable. The connection cable and insulation must be intact.
Connectors should be clean and dry.
Rinse off salt deposits with water or DI water.
Calibration
The pH sensing bulbs become less sensitive over time so make sure that you are calibrating regularly to keep your PRO Plus pH meter accurate. Also, calibrate after cleaning or a long period of storage.

Double Junction, refillable glass electrode with BNC connector and 1m cable. Replacement for the electrode that is included with the Milwaukee MW151 MAX pH/ORP/Temp Logging Bench Meter. The electrode is the consumable portion of the pH meter which actually makes the measurement. All pH electrodes wear out over time and must be replaced. If your meter is having trouble calibrating or the reading drifts then a bad electrode is the likely culprit.
