  • BrewBuilt Glycol Chiller - IceMaster Max 2 BrewBuilt Glycol Chiller - IceMaster Max 2

    BrewBuilt® IceMaster Max 2 | Glycol Chiller | 2 Built In Temperature Controllers & Pumps | 1700btu | 110V | 4.5 Gal. Tank

    51 reviews

The ultimate control & precision of your fermentation process. Equipped with two built-in temperature controllers and pumps, this advanced chiller enables you to independently regulate the temperature of two separate fermentation vessels simultaneously, ensuring optimal conditions for different batches or styles of beer, making it a game-changer for homebrewers. 2 built-in submersible pumps with independent digital controllers Control multiple fermentation temperatures independently Fill with 20% glycol solution for optimal chilling performance Cold crash with good insulation Perfect complement to BrewBuilt X-Series Conicals The IceMaster Max 2 is designed to cool fermentations in small vessels. It features 2 built-in submersible pumps with independent digital temperature controllers and can be used with any vessel that has a glycol jacket or submersed cooling coil/rod. Each controller includes a temperature probe that should be inserted into a thermowell in your vessel or can be taped to the outside of the vessel if you don't have a thermowell. The digital controller then measures the temperature of your tank and turns the submersible pump on or off to cool to your desired set temperature. Up to two tanks can be controlled separately with one IceMaster Max 2. The Max 2 is the perfect unit for brewers with 1 or 2 fermentation vessels. The IceMaster 100 and IceMaster Max 4 are terrific chillers, but for they have far more cooling capacity than the average homebrewer needs. The Max 2 is the most affordable glycol chiller we offer, and thanks to the built-in submersible pumps and controllers, there's no need to purchase additional pump kits to use with your cooling system(s). Compatibility The IceMaster can be used with any fermenter that has a built-in cooling jacket, added CoolStix, or a submersed cooling coil. It works well as the cooling source for the following sytems and fermenters. BrewBuilt Jacketed Uni Conical - we recommend one Insulated Tubing Kit for each tank. These kits feature "dry break" quick disconnects that prevent glycol loss and the insulated tubing will increase chilling efficiency and eliminate line sweating from condensation. CoolStix - CoolStix can be added to a wide range of carboys, fermenters, and tanks and the IceMaster works really well in combination. Each CoolStix is available with or without a pump kit; for use with the IceMaster Max 2 you will only need the CoolStix and some tubing to connect it to the chiller.   Ss Brewtech Fermenters and Brites - Ss BME Chronicals, BME Brites, and Unitanks come with cooling coils and neoprene as standard. The optional chilling FTSs will not be needed for use with the Max 2. Spike Conical with Optional Cooling Coil - the cooling coil for Spike CF series conicals is available for purchase independently from the TC-100 cooling system. For use with the Max 2 you will only need the the coil and some tubing to connect it to the chiller. Speidel Tanks with Optional Cooling Jackets - You will need two lengths of tubing to connect the chiller to each tank.    Grainfather Fermenters - Grainfather fermenters have standard cooling jackets. You will need two lengths of tubing for each fermenter. Blichmann Fermenators with Optional Cooling Coil - You will need two lengths of tubing for each Fermenator. Capacity It is always difficult to determine exactly how many tanks can be chilled at one time as it depends on what is happening in each tank, if the tank is insulated, and what the ambient temperature is. Cold crashing always requires the most energy and requires tank insulation. We have experimented with capacities and can provide this general guide based on a 75°F ambient and neoprene insulation. Neoprene provides a modest amount of insulation so you would obtain better results using Armaflex or a higher R rated insulation.  At 75°F ambient temperature with neoprene insulation, the Max 2 can cold crash one 1 BBL BrewBuilt Jacketed Uni or two Jacketed Unis up to 15 gallons in size at one time to 38°F. Set Up In order to hook up the IceMaster to your fermenter or tank's cooling system, you will need 2 lengths of tubing per vessel. All tubing connections should be secured with hose clamps. Length 1: Barb of 1st bulkhead (IN) to cooling system outlet Length 2: Barb of 2nd bulkhead (OUT) to cooling system inlet Specifications: 2 built-in submersible pumps with independent digital controllers Pump controller reads in °F / °C Temperature controller reads in °C Labeled IN and OUT stainless bulkheads with 3/8" OD barbs Tank Capacity: 17 L / 4.5 Gal. Water Capacity Compressor: 3/8 HP Cooling Capacity: 500 Watt/1700btu/0.14 tons Refrigerant: R600a Voltage: 110V Dimensions: 19" x 12" x 17.5" Wheels not included CE Certified   Note: The new model includes a sightglass that is connected via two plastic Duotight tees.  The tees can be attached onto the push tubes on the front of the unit. The sight glass can be fitted between the two tees and plugs need to be inserted on the outward facing openings.  Warning: Do not set the reservoir temperature controller lower than 28°F (-2ºC). Running the unit below this temperature may negatively affect the unit's efficiency and has the potential to freeze beer which may impact the finished beer's flavor.

  • FermZilla - Pressure Kit for 27L & 55L (Plastic Caps) FermZilla - Pressure Kit for 27L & 55L (Plastic Caps)

    Plastic Pressure Kit for FermZilla

    7 reviews

With the FermZilla Pressure Kit you can ferment under pressure, carbonate, and serve without ever needing to move your beer out of the fermenter. The kit inlcudes two plastic female threaded ball lock fittings with barbs, which thread onto the existing openings atop the FermZilla's lid. For the beverage out, you'll have a silicone dip tube with stainless steel float, allowing you to always draw from the clearest beer at the top of the tank. Pick up the Pressure Kit and turn your FermZilla into a true unitank! Includes one red and one yellow ball lock cap to help differentiate which one is being used for liquid and which one for gas. Either color can be used for either function. The silicone dip tube is 31" long. It will work perfectly as is for the 55L FermZilla. For the 27L model we recommend cutting the dip tube shorter to remove unwanted slack. With the optional Floating Dip Tube Filter, you can prevent hop material and other solids from ever entering the dip tube. Especially handy when you're pulling samples mid-fermentation! Fermenting Under Pressure: The pressure kit allows for fermenting under pressure, which will reduce esters and fusel alcohol production. This means you can ferment at warmer temperatures than you normally would, even making lagers at room temperature. Most commerical beer is fermented under pressure simply due to the size of commercial tanks and the pressure that is created by the column of beer. It is one of the distinct differences between homebrewing and brewing on a commercial scale. The FermZilla's lid already comes with a built-in pressure relief valve that will blow at 35 psi; the pressure kit simply allows you to add CO2 through the ball lock fitting. We strongly recommend that you also purchase an adjustable pressure relief valve, or spunding valve, which allows you to set a lower pressure. It's always a good idea to have two relief valves on the FermZilla anytime the unit is under pressure.   Carbonating, Transferring, and Serving: When you are fermenting under pressure the beer is already carbonated when you are done fermenting. You can control the level of carbonation by using a spunding valve. This means you can eliminate kegging and serve directly from the fermenter. We love this idea but there will probably still be times that you want to keg. Attach a beer line from the FermZilla's bev out to your keg and enjoy the easiest kegging experience ever.  You can also choose to send carbonated beer through a beer filter on the way to your keg.  When applying pressure with a CO2 tank also make sure that you have a functional relief valve on your CO2 regulator.     Eliminate Oxidation: Since the beer always has a CO2 blanket through fermentation and during any transfers out, oxidation is eliminated. When you cold crash you won't be sucking air back in through an airlock.   Key Features: Ferment beer under pressure to reduce ester and fusel alcohol production Always draw clear beer with the floating dip tube Keg beer that has already been carbonated Use CO2 to push beer into a keg or through a filter into a keg Eliminate kegging altogether by carbonating and serving directly from the FermZilla Installation Note: For best performance, ensure there is not an excess amount of slack when the silicone dip tube is installed and shorten it if needed. With the floating dip tube installed on your empty FermZilla, you ideally want the dip tube to hang freely with just enough length for the end of the dup tube to touch the bottom of the tank. Please note: pressure kit does not include the lid pictured in the example photo. The ball locks and floating dip tube are installed on the FermZilla's existing lid.

  • Erlenmeyer Flask - 2000 ml

    Erlenmeyer Flask - 2000 mL

    65 reviews

These Erlenmeyer flasks help the best brewers to make large yeast starters to get their beer fermenting fast. Large populations of active yeast help ensure a healthy fermentation, free of off flavors.  One of our favorite things about the Erlenmeyer flasks is that you can boil your starters directly in them! Our large 2000ml Erlenmyer Flask is the ideal vessel to make a large yeast starter for 5 gallon lagers and high gravity brews. Because it is made from borosilicate glass you can move it from a boil on your gas stove into a cold water bath for cooling, without the risk of cracking. (We do not recommend the use of an electric element. If this cannot be avoided, we recommend using a larger pot as a hot water bath on the stove.) This means you can do the whole process in one container, keeping it simple and helping to reduce the risk of contamination when transferring from one container to another. Recommended Process for Use of Flask: Double Boiler Method It is important for your safety to heat water in the flask with a heat source that distributes heat evenly. Our manufacturer has confirmed that direct heat to the glass can break down its integrity and break if the heat source doesn't distribute evenly. Morebeer! recommends using the "double boiler method."  This process involves using a boiling water bath on the outside of the flask to heat up the water inside the flask.  All you need is a kettle 3 gallons or larger.  This process is much safer and efficient. If the flask should break or boil over, your kettle will be there to collect the contents, thus keeping your stove clean and keeping you away from potential harm.   Features Massive 2L (2000mL) Capacity Made from Borosilicate Glass Fantastic price for a flask of this size Produced for MoreBeer! 6.5" base 2.5" top 10.75"H   Why make a yeast starter? (from our FAQ) We build starters for 3 main reasons. First, to ensure yeast health. By making a starter 1-3 days in advance, you ensure that your yeast is healthy and strong and ready to do its job. Second, to create more yeast. By making the starter you will increase the cell count of the yeast, giving you a better chance of keeping bacteria's and wild yeasts from fermenting your wort. Third, if you are making high gravity beers. If you are making a high gravity beer (1.060+) you will need more yeast to start the ferment faster. High gravity beers will also finish more completely when you pitch ample quantities of yeast. In the lab world, these flasks are known as "Student Grade". A great flask for making yeast starters!(Student grade is not the highest grade flasks and will have minor defects) Kegland Part Number: KL03988

  • BevBright 1 Micron Beverage Filter - PLACEHOLDER BevBright 1 Micron Beverage Filter - PLACEHOLDER

    BevBright® 1 Micron Filter

    26 reviews

BevBright's one micron filters are disposable, multi-zoned, cartridge style filters perfect for filtering beer with any standard 10" filter cartridge housing.  BevBright achieves superior efficiency by being the first to spin different diameters of poly strands on the same filter core to create zones of filtration. The zone closest to the core contains consistent, tight fibers for final filtration while the final outer layer zone is spun with larger fibers for increased sediment holding capacity and increased flow capacity. The best of both worlds. By comparison typical spun poly water filters are spun with only one size of fiber.  Note that these are True 10" Filter Cartridges that rely upon the housing being closed tightly in order to engage the Knife Seals & eliminate bypass. 1 Micron Filters Use a 1 micron filter for crystal clear filtration when your beer has already naturally settled out. Too many yeast cells in solution will quickly clog a 1 micron filter. Is your beer cloudy to the eye? Try a 3 micron or 5 micron filter.  What Retention Efficiency rating should I choose? We suggest you start with the 98% Super High Efficiency rated filters and adjust from there. 90% High Efficiency - Removes 90% of the material 1 micron or larger in a single pass. 98% Super High Efficiency - Removes 98% of the material 1 micron or larger in a single pass. 99.8% Absolute Efficiency - Removes 99.8% of the material 1 micron or larger in a single pass. More Information on Efficiency Ratings The efficiency rating tells you what % of material, at the given micron rating, will be filtered out in a single pass. Cheaper spun poly water filters are never rated for efficiency because they only remove 60-80% of the material at a given micron rating in a single pass. BevBright offer three levels of efficiency to fit any brewers budget or need.   The High Efficiency rated filters work better than any 1 micron rated hardware store spun poly filters . The Super High Efficiency filters represent great value. They remove 98% of material in a single pass for just a little bit more money. Absolute rated filters are more typically used in the wine industry but are available for discerning brewers that want the highest efficiency possible.

  • (Pack of 20) Stepless Clamp - Stainless - For 7/16" OD Tubing

Stepless Hose Clamp - 7/16 in. OD Tubing (20 Pack)

    8 reviews

Stepless clamps are the best choice for your home draft set up. Standard worm drive hose clamps are nice for reusability, but they aren't ideal for beer and gas lines because they tend to pinch on one side, leading to leaks or degraded pressure holding capacity of your draft system. Stepless clamps apply even compression around the whole diameter of the tubing line, tightening in a perfect circle. They can be tightened with the middle cutter on a pair of pliers, or better yet, with the Stepless Clamp Tool (H1006). • Tilt Hydrometer and Thermometer - Blue Tilt Hydrometer and Thermometer - Blue

Tilt™ Hydrometer and Thermometer - Blue

    21 reviews

Track your fermentation progress without ever disturbing your wort! The Tilt Hydrometer and Thermometer is added directly to your fermenter to provide real-time data on the current gravity and temperature of your wort, eliminating the hassle and potential contamination that comes from opening your fermenter to pull samples. The Tilt is especially useful for brewers fermenting in glass carboys or plastic fermenters that don't have spigots for sample taking. Designed for homebrewing, the Tilt hydrometer lets you instantly read your brew's specific gravity and temperature on your compatible Apple iPhone/iPad or Android smartphone/tablet or Tilt Pi. Most Bluetooth 4.0+ devices will work with the Tilt. You can then optionally log data to the cloud using their free Google Sheets template or other 3rd party cloud platforms. Tilt's goal is to help homebrewers brew better beer. The Tilt hydrometer allows you to check the specific gravity and temperature of your beer while it's fermenting, without ever having to open your fermenter or pour out any of your precious brew. This makes brewing more consistent and easier to track. Here are some of the new features of the Tilt: Range: Better reception and range. With the increased transmission power your Tilt will send data through larger, thicker-walled fermenters. Precision: Upgraded sensors. With an improved temperature sensor and accelerometer your Tilt will operate with more precision.   Efficiency: Reduced power consumption so more brews, less battery changing. New Look: Newly designed custom circuit board and harness. If using multiple Tilt hydrometers for different batches of fermenting beer you must use a different color for each batch. The app will not read multiple hydrometers of the same color. Each Tilt comes calibrated and ready to go with a pre-installed battery that lasts 12-24 months depending on usage. Just download the free app, sanitize your Tilt, drop it in your fermenter, and start taking readings with your phone, tablet, or Tilt Pi. The specific gravity is accurate +/- 0.002 within the Tilt's range of 0.990 to 1.120. The thermometer is accurate +/- 1°F (+/- 0.5°C). Download the free Tilt app at the Apple App Store or Google Play Store or get the free Tilt Pi download.

  • (Pack of 20) Stepless Clamp - Stainless - For 5/16" - 3/8" OD Tubing

Stepless Hose Clamp - 5/16 in. - 3/8 in. OD Tubing (20 Pack)

    2 reviews

Stepless clamps are the best choice for your home draft set up. Standard worm drive hose clamps are nice for reusability, but they aren't ideal for beer and gas lines because they tend to pinch on one side, leading to leaks or degraded pressure holding capacity of your draft system. Stepless clamps apply even compression around the whole diameter of the tubing line, tightening in a perfect circle. They can be tightened with the middle cutter on a pair of pliers, or better yet, with the Stepless Clamp Tool (H1006). 202 reviews

Heavy-duty HDPE plastic fermentation and stoarge tank Made from food-safe materials with extra thick walls to preserve the aroma of your beverage Rotating plastic spigot eliminates the need to use an auto-siphon or racking arm to transfer liquid Wide top port opening for easy cleaning Airlock & stopper included Made in Germany by Speidel The future is here today, and the future is HDPE Fermentation & Storage Tanks from Speidel. Made in Germany from nothing but undyed and food-safe plastic, these tanks are produced with particularly thick walls which preserves the aroma and the alcohol for a markedly long time. The stable carrying handles have been tried and tested for decades and are extremely durable. Are you tired of carboys? Hate siphoning to transfer? Wish you could ferment larger batches in a single container? Sick of lifting 50lbs by a small metal handle? Done with worrying about shattered glass, injury and lost product? Well then have we got the solution for you! These heavy duty plastic tanks offer a fantastic fermentation & storage solution at a great price. Key Features: Heavy duty HDPE construction is durable and resists oxygen transfer. None of the risks of working with glass. Small footprint makes them easy to store - take better advantage of the space you have to dedicate to wine & beer making. Built-in handles make these tanks easy to move, even when full. Large lid opening makes them easy to clean by hand - say goodbye to your carboy brush! All ports seal with gaskets and the vessel can be fully sealed for long-term storage. Includes a spigot and oversized 2-piece Speidel airlock. Designed and manufactured in Germany by Speidel, the makers of our legendary commercial wine tanks Suggested Applications: 12L: Perfect for storing small lots, making experimental batches and taking some of your beer or wine along with you to your next party. 20L: Ideal for secondary fermentation and storage of 5 gallon batches. 30L: The vessel for fermenting wine kits and 5 gallon batches of beer with plenty of headspace and no need for a blowoff tube. 60L: Perfect for fermenting larger batches of wine or 10 gallon batches of beer in a single container! Only 4" larger in diameter than a 6.5 gallon carboy! 120L: Ferment & Store large batches of anything - your creativity is the only limit! Approximate Dimensions: 15.75in Diameter x 24in Height (w/out airlock in place). The maximum temperature that these plastic fermenters can handle is 140F. Approx. 17in Diameter including handles. **Please Note - The handles on the Speidel Plastic Fermenters are capable of handling a weight load of 66lbs each, or 132lbs when using both. Therefore, they can be used to move this unit when full. FAQ: Can filled containers be carried by the handles? Depending on the weight—barrels up to 30L are no problem—60L is the limit and should not be carried when completely full. The handles have a weight capacity of 30kg (66 lbs). Is there an upper limit on the alcohol content of the stored liquid? In principle, there is not. However, it should be noted that the higher the alcohol content, the faster the seals and, to a lesser extent, the tank itself will wear out. Up to what temperature can the containers be used? For short periods of time the containers can withstand temperatures of up to 80°C (176°F). This temperature should not be exceeded. For longer periods of time the containers can be used at temperatures up to 60°C (140°F).

  • Beer & Wine Filtering Kit (10 in ) Beer & Wine Filtering Kit (10 in )

Beer Filter Kit - 10 in. Canister Filter

    45 reviews

The beer filter gets installed inline between two ball lock Cornelius kegs using CO2 pressure to push the beer out of the full keg through the filter and into the clean keg. This kit is designed to filter out particles down to 1 micron, which is considered fine filtration. At one micron the beer will be clear after filtration provided you do not have a starch haze. Filtering also accelerates the conditioning process to just a few days. Most of our customers who use the filtering kit find that they; keg beer, chill it overnight, filter the next day, carbonate, and are drinking clear beer in a couple days. For those who want to bottle beer without sediment, filtering combined with the use of a counter pressure bottle filler will allow you to put crystal clear, carbonated beer into bottle. The beer filtering kit comes with one 10" filter housing, a 1 micron 10" spun poly sediment filter, fittings for connection to the filter housing, 3' of beverage line, clamps, and two beverage out ball lock quick disconnects. Spun-polypropylene filters are disposable filters and cannot be cleaned and used more than once. However, you can filter multiple kegs with one filter. 3 micron will remove most yeast, and 1 micron filtration will remove almost all yeast. All filters are rated nominal (will filter out 80-85% of matter at given rating). Temperature rated to 125°F.

  • Refractometer - Dual Scale w/ ATC Refractometer - Dual Scale w/ ATC

    Brewing Refractometer - Dual Scale

    130 reviews

A refractometer is used to measure the density of a solution, in our case how much malt sugar is in solution. Featuring both a Brix scale AND a Specific Gravity Scale Our refractometer is unique in that it features both a Brix Scale and a Specific Gravity Scale, the scale most homebrewers use. Why use a Refractometer you ask? Are you tired of not hitting your desired target gravities? Have you tried to cool a large sample so you could use a hydrometer and see what your gravity is? A refractometer allows you take instant gravity readings, with just one drop, at any point during the boil, or even during the run off of the sparge during an all-grain brew. These 'during the process' readings allow you to add more water or boil longer so you can attain exactly the gravity you desire. Refractometer Statistics Our refractometer is hand held with a metal body, flexible eye piece and rubber grip. It features a 0 to 32% Brix scale and from 1.000 to 1.120 on the Specific Gravity Scale with .2% resolution and ATC (Automatic Temperature Compensation). Traditional refractometers without ATC are calibrated to work at 68 degrees Fahrenheit. The ATC function allows you to use the refractometer in an ambient temperature range of 50-86 degrees Fahrenheit (10-30 Celsius.) Because your sample is just one drop, and will quickly adjust to the temperature of the refractometer, the temperature of the sample is irrelevant. Our unit also comes with a manual calibration knob that is secured with a lock nut. To calibrate place one drop of distilled water on the testing platform and adjust to zero if necessary. Getting Geeky about why the Specific Gravity Scale on our unit is accurate Some dual scale refractometers feature a linear scale that multiplies brix by 4 to get Specific Gravity. This is okay at lower gravities up to around 1.040 but the higher your starting gravity goes, the less accurate the conversion is. For example, take a Brix reading of 10, multiply by 4, and you get a SG reading of 1.040 - the accurate SG reading is 1.041. Take a Brix reading of 20, multiply by 4, and you get 1.080 - the accurate conversion is 1.084. We worked with our Refractometer manufacturer to create a unit with a non linear conversion and thus this model can be accurately used for Specific Gravity readings. NOTE - Refractometers will not read correctly if alcohol is present. We have a spreadsheet that can be used to help determine your actual gravity or brix, and this can be found in the "Documents" tab above.
