Hooked up to my chest freezer / fermentation chamber and two heating pads, it does the trick. Very happy with the wi-fi so that I can set and monitor temperature remotely, as well as the historic temperature graph - very useful!

Works good, I haven't tried to connect to wifi yet. I don't think I really need to after setting it up. The instructions can get a bit confusing, all you need to know is what the acronyms stand for which are in the middle of the instruction booklet. Connected to a chest freezer and I see about 2-3 degree temperature swings when the freezer turns on but thats about it.
I used this controller on a small refrigerator that I purchased to handle the fermentation of a white wine where I wanted to control the temperature at around 56F. The frig is just big enough to hold a six gallon bucket with an air lock. I taped the temperature probe to the side of the bucket and placed the controller on a wall next to the refrigerator. The setup worked very well. Temperature has been staying in a 55-58F range.Also very much like the WiFi feature. Only about $10 more to added this connectivity and it was good to be able to monitor and adjust the temperature when I has away from home.I have not used the heating function yet. Would purchase again if I expand my wine making hobby.

WiFi range is awful. I have three Orbi mesh network access points all over my house. I can go across the street over 1000 feet away and pick up signal with phone or laptop. In my garage? This drops. It also only has 2.4ghz so the range should be better, 5ghz has faster, but shorter range. I know my signal is great because my laptop and phone have full WiFi signal right next to the Inkbird. So I’d give this a 3 if you want the “smart†capabilities. Otherwise it’s perfect for what I need.
Works well. As is frequently the case you just have to navigate around the software to figure out what to do. I never seem to find a step by step discussion that is easy to follow. Kept my cider in a 3 degree range very easily.

Converted my 1996 Kenmore kegorator into a fermentation chamber and can now control cooling and heating with this. Great to have accessibility from my phone with the Wi-Fi, but the app could use a bit of work. Good, not great. Doesn’t take away from a 5 star review though.
Replaced my old Inkbird with this. Although it still worked it became difficult to change settings. This Inkbird with WiFi makes tracking and adjusting temperature very easy. Great item!
Using this unit on my newly rebuilt Keezer. Replaced my Johnson controller. Keeps the unit a 40 degree with no issues. Love the Wi-Fi capability.. You can change setting from anywhere and monitor from your phone. Most of my devices in our house are on google home and this unit works with google home.
Will this work with my 12 year old Morebeer 7 gallon Ultimate Heated and Cooled Conical? The Ranco controller that came with it seems to be acting up and may need replaced. Is this controller a good replacement for that?
I use this unit to control temperatures in a fermentation chamber (DIY) and it holds temps rock solid. Cannot imagine that it would not work for your conical.
Are you able to change the temp setting remotely from the app?
Yes you are! Very nifty little device. It’s been a while since I’ve used mine because you cannot replace the probe on the older ones so once the probe or wire gets kinked you have to buy a new device. The newer INKBIRD devices have replaceable probes you can purchase. My only gripe about this controller.

Can it be used for 220v?
No. This unit is designed to work with 120v electricity. Any more than that and you risk overloading the relays inside the unit and burning out the computer or worse.
Does this device save settings in the event of a power outage? If it doesn't then the temperature environment could be compromised when the power comes back on. We have a standby house generator but in the event of a power outage the generator still takes about 7 seconds to kick in and restore power. A small UPS would solve this issue but I don't want to spend the money on one if I don't have to.
I have unplugged mine to move my keezer and it saved the settings.
Settings are saved if it there is a power outage.
That was my concern as I live in a rural area with a lot of power failures. It does indeed keep its setting and is a great little devise for the price. Just bought another for a heat controlled fermenter cabinet so am building.
I unplugged the inkbird WiFi temp controller on my keezer for a few days to clean out/dehumidify and when plugging the unit back in the keezer went back to the old temperature from before being unplugged a few days.

Great question that I honestly didn't think about. But good news! I had a power outage a couple of days ago and double checked my temp without even getting off the couch and it's still at the same temp I set it at. This is honestly the best temp controller I've ever owned. Can't recommend it enough.
In my experience it does. I use it for my converted kegerator that’s now a fermentation chamber and unplug it when not in use. It will go weeks without being powered back on and always saves the setting that I last left it on.
I have two of these wifi controllers (one on my conical fermenter with heating & cooling the other on my keezer). I can confirm that if the power is disconnected the previous settings remain in effect when the power is restored. The controllers also automatically reestablish connection with my wifi network. They work well.

For use with a chest freezer as fermentation chamber which outlet (heating or cooling) does the freezer plug into? Currently our ambient temps range from mid 40s to upper 70s. Thanks!
Freezer plugs into “cooling” outlet.
You would plug the freezer into the “cooling” socket. The heating socket would be used in conjunction with something like fermwrap they sell here in Morebeer or a fish tank heater to dial in those temps even more.
