Traditional design meets modern technology and materials
Oval design allows for unhindered convection currents during fermenation
Supports constant circulation—eliminating hot spots and leading to faster fermentations
Smooth interior surface makes cleaning quick & easy
Made in Germany by Speidel
The Fermentegg represents a new take on one of the oldest vessel shapes for winemaking. Oval vessels have been used to ferment and store wine for thousands of years, however Speidel's Fermentegg brings this concept to modern times with a lightweight yet heavy duty, food-safe polyethylene construction.
The egg shaped vessel results in convection currents during fermentation, unhindered by corners or edges. This movement results in your beer or wine constantly circulating, with an end result of a more complex, yet unified product. Fermentations will generally complete quicker due to the motion of the product, and hot spots will be eliminated as the product remains at a homogenous temperature. Can be used to ferment wine, beer or even cider!
Speidel has become known as a forward moving company in fermentation equipment and following in the foot steps of the Speidel Plastic Fermenter, the egg is very easy to clean because of it's smooth inside surface.

Applications:
Full-Bodied Red Wines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Zinfandel, enhancing structure and deep fruit complexity.
Mediterranean Reds: Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Tempranillo, bringing forward robust tannins and rich berry notes.
Barrel-Aged Wines: Integrates well with oak aging, complementing toasted oak, spice, and vanilla nuances.
Blended Reds: GSM blends, Super Tuscans, and Meritage, elevating balance and aromatic intensity.
Flavor Profile:
Dark Berry Concentration: Intense expressions of blackberry, plum, and black cherry dominate the palate.
Spice & Earthiness: Subtle hints of cedar, black pepper, and tobacco add layers of complexity.
Velvety Tannins: Enhances mouthfeel with smooth, integrated tannins, perfect for structured, age-worthy reds.
Deep Color Stability: Supports anthocyanin preservation, ensuring vibrant, long-lasting color.
Usage:
Rehydration: Rehydrate in 10 times its weight of chlorine-free water at 95°F (35°C) for 15–20 minutes. Stir gently to prevent clumping.
Pitch Rate: Use 1–1.5 grams per gallon (0.25–0.4 grams per liter) for optimal fermentation and flavor development.
Nutrient Addition: Supplement with yeast nutrient to support robust fermentation and prevent sluggish kinetics.
Fermentation Temperature: Maintain between 65°F and 90°F to optimize polyphenol extraction and aromatic preservation.
Extended Maceration: Ideal for long maceration periods, deepening color and enhancing tannin structure.

We are proud to present our line of premium quality stainless steel tanks. Built in Germany by Speidel, the world-class traditions of German engineering and craftsmanship are reflected in these tanks. And, after examining tanks built by every major manufacturer worldwide, we can safely say that when it comes to features, quality and price, these tanks represent the very best value available in stainless steel wine storage.
Speidel Quality Features:
Cooling Jacket - Fermenters are equipped with a partial jacket that is designed for an operating pressure of 2.5 to 6 bar. This will allow you to hook it into a glycol system (see our Kreyer Chilly45, GLY410) for complete temperature control!
Interior Finish - Speidel tanks feature an ultra-smooth 2R rated interior surface which effectively resists the build-up of tartrate residues. Clean your tanks with cold water after cold stabilization! Say goodbye to harsh cleaning chemicals and expensive CIP systems!
Weld Quality - Speidel's robotic-arm laser welders create flawless stainless to stainless junctions that look and feel more like a taped fabric seam than a traditional weld. Ultra high-quality welds leave no chance for residual product to harbor spoilage organisms.
Thickness - Speidel tanks are designed to be the correct thickness for the tank's total volume.
Manway - The "red wine" manway allows you to easily remove skins.
Complete Drainage Bottoms - All Speidel tanks are outfitted with conical, pocketed bottoms for total drainage, which maximizes product yield at rackings and makes cleaning a snap. *Please note that smaller, flat-bottomed tanks do not feature total drainage bottoms.
Tri-Clamp Valve Ferrules - All Speidel tanks come configured for use with Tri-Clamp (TC) style valves and fittings. Tanks up to 1600L capacity are outfitted with 1.5" TC racking outlet and bottom outlet. **Please Note: TC valves not included. Please inquire with your sales associate for pricing on TC valves and fittings.
Rubber Lid Gaskets - The white rubber gaskets used by Speidel are much thicker than the traditional clear vinyl gaskets, which along with their extruded manufacturing process provide a much better seal with the tanks wall. They're seamless and more oxygen resistant than the clear gaskets. That means better protection for your wines!
Warranty - Speidel-Behaelter, GMBH backs up each and every tank with an industry-leading 25 year warranty against defects in materials or workmanship. And, as a 5th generation manufacturer, you can be confident they'll be around to honor that warranty should the need arise.

The original all-in-one brewery still made in Germany!
5" touchscreen is easy to use and guides you through the brewing process
Brew all-grain beer inside your home—no gas burner needed
Built-in cooling jacket eliminates the need for awkward wort chillers
2R interior stainless finish with electropolished heating coil
The "Mercedes®" of brewing systems. When you want the best, this is it.
The Braumeister: A patented, electric, self-contained all-grain brewing system producing 61 gallons of wort per brew. The beauty of the Speidel Braumeister is in simplicity and small footprint. This product is not part of our free shipping policy, however we only charge actual freight from our California or Pennsylvania Warehouse to your location.
Touchscreen Control Panel
The new automatic control system brews with your own individual recipes and guides you through the brewing process. Recipes and software updates can be synced automatically with the integrated WiFi. The time and temperature are precisely maintained through all brewing phases. The new touchscreen makes it even easier to operate the Braumeister.
In addition, the large Braumeisters have integrated a new pressure sensor-controlled pump control. The pressure sensor in the pressure line which is connected with the malt pipe allows you to regulate the pump speed via the pressure. The new timer function saves time because, for example, the brewing water can be heated up early in the morning.
One Vessel
With the Braumeister you Mash, Boil and Cool all in the same vessel. All actions are controlled by the included electronic control system. Your brewing process is started in the Braumeister the same as with any other system, by mixing cracked grain with hot water. From there traditional step mashes at multiple temperatures are easy to maintain when you set your program on the controller.
Traditional Sparging Optional
Because of the constant movement of wort, the high ratio of liquid in the mash and the unique grain bed filters, the efficiency of removing sugar from the mash is good. This eliminates the need for a traditional sparge. However, when you shift from Mashing to the boil by lifting the grain bed out of the tank you can rinse the grain with hot water, performing a more traditional sparge if desired.
Boil and Cool
After the grain basket is removed with the included winch you will begin a traditional boil for 60 to 90 minutes. After the boil is over you connect to your glycol system (see our Kreyer Chilly45 GLY411) and use the built-in dimpled cooling jacket to cool the wort down. Simple.
