The tip extends approximately 7.25" into the vessel. The overall length from the top of the TC flange to the tip of the spinner is approximately 8.75".

I use a cheap $60 Harbor Freight submerged pump that has double the flow rate as the Riptide. The Riptide will spin the head and with +160 degree BPW it should easily clean the fermenter.

I don't think a Riptide pump will provide enough pressure to adequately spin the CIP head and clean your tank. I recommend a decent submersible pump (try a hardware store) - something that will put out much more pressure and volume than a small brewing pump like Riptide Chugger March etc.
