Reduce heating time during your mash with the Gen 4 BrewZilla Redistribute recirculating wort for longer heating element exposure Improve heat distribution throughout the mash Speed up heating times with the Heat Exchanger Dish (HED) for Gen 4 BrewZillas. This optional upgrade accessory redirects the flow of wort so that it spends more time exposed to the heating elements before reaching the center drain at the bottom of the kettle and being recirculated. Due to the concave bottom and central draining hole on the Gen 4 BrewZilla, recirculating wort will pass through the malt pipe and then down through the boiler false bottom following the path of least resistance. This can cause wort to make a B-line for the drainage hole and reduce the wort's exposure to the unit's heating elements. With the HED installed, wort will be directed to the edge of the BrewZilla base and pass over the elements for a longer period and reduce the time needed to heat to your set temperature. This piece comes standard with the 100L BrewZilla. It is offered as an optional accessory for the 35L and 65L sizes. The HED has been pressed into a slight concave shape to match the curvature of the boiler false bottom. Includes a longer eye bolt assembly than the one included with the false bottom. This is a replacement 175°C (347°F) thermal cut out switch for the 110V BrewZilla 35L & DigiBoil 35L Units.
This thermal cut out switch is mounted directly to the heating element so as soon as the heating element gets too hot the bi-metal switch will activate and cut the power to the element. It can also trigger an E3 or E4 error when this happens on the display.
This false bottom is specifically designed for the Gen 4 35L BrewZilla. On this model the ball valve tap was relocated underneath the unit, allowing for a super low profile false bottom that molds itself to the concave bottom of the BrewZilla. This also allowed for a larger malt pipe for bigger grain bills and provides a filter for protecting the easy access pump.
It is not suitable for DigiBoils or Gen 3.1.1 or older BrewZillas, as those models do not have a concave bottom.
