Tri-Clamp Pressure Lid for FermZilla - 2 in.

    Description

    Upgrade your FermZilla Conical or All Rounder with the new 2" Tri-Clamp Lid from KegLand. Add yeast, hops or even take samples from a wine thief from the top and not have to remove the entire lid.

    This particular lid was designed in order to suit a growing number of customers desire to dry hop without exposing the batch to oxygen from opening the lid. By using this lid in conjunction with the FermZilla 2" Butterfly Valve and Hop Bong Kit, you will be able to purge CO2 into the tube and expel all the oxygen inside it and dump freely into the vessel.

    Features:

    • (2) PCO1881 Male Ports
      • Recommended for use with Red (Gas In) & Yellow (Bev Out) Ball Lock Caps
    • PRV Port with Red 35 psi (2.5 BAR) PRV
    • 2" T.C. Ferrule

    Undrilled Ports (for optional accessories):

    • Thermowell Port (see below for FermZilla Thermowell kit)
    • (2) Temp Twister Ports

    Please Note: Temp Twister will need to be bent on a 20° Angle in order to fit on the curved lid and align vertically in the tank.

    Also includes:

    • 2" Tri-Clamp
    • 2" T.C. Gasket
    • 2" T.C. x PCO1881 Male Thread Cap

    If you ever need to replace the O-ring attached to the bottom of the Pressure Lid, a Corny Keg Lid O-ring fits perfectly.

        Works great except for one flaw

        This lid lets you easily add a TC port and two ball lock posts to your Fermzilla for addons like the hop bong or CIP etc. For that it works very well, and is built to take a beating. It holds pressure no issues and I've used it with a hop bong with great results. The only gripe I have with it is the collar from the Fermzilla that screws on over this piece tends to unscrew any ball lock posts because there isn't enough clearance. As you turn the collar, the ridges along the inside rim rub and unscrew the posts which both makes unscrewing the collar unnecessarily difficult and leaves you scrambling to grab the posts as they come off. Kegland needs to tweak the molding of the collar to give a few extra mm of clearance. It's by no means a deal breaker, but it is annoying.

        Well designed saved me from spending on a conical

        With this you can really do all a conical does pretty much at a much lower cost. Well designed and built.

        I am nervous about bending my coil to work with this lid. Do you have a video showing tips and tricks on how to bed the stainless steel temp twister coils 20 degrees to work with this lid?

        I can't really give you any tips and tricks all I can really say is that it's a huge pain in the butt to install the coil and thermowell. Bending the coil is hard because it's hard to get a grip on it and the thermowell port cutout is a bit of a tight fit with the nut they supply for the fitting to the point where it won't quite spin so you have to force things from one side.

        How will this attach to the Fermzilla Conical as opposed to the Tri-Conical?
