Item arrived over two weeks late.
I purchased one of these 4 or 5 years ago. I just bought another one. Probably would have purchased long ago, but I mostly bottle. These 2.5 gallon kegs are the perfect size for refer storage. I like the rubber top and bottom, good protection. Many brewers are not concerned what there kegs look like as long as they work. I do care what equipment looks like. These Italian kegs are of great quality, and they look awesome. You won't go wrong this keg.
These Italian made kegs are very high quality. The 2.5 gallon size is my personal favorite because they fit in just about any kitchen sink for a good scrubbing.
quality product that fits perfectly in my fridge...
I use this for split batch flavorings. Great size to work with and these are very well built.
I love these, they are easier to carry around, they're a better size for a party of 10-15 people (tailgate) and if still like to bottle a few beers this is a great size for the rest of the batch, or what I do is fill this up first then bottle
I have bought 4 of these over the years and generally prefer them to the 5 gallon ones. They are easier to lift and handle. They can be stored where the big one can't, even in the refrigerator . Quality is excellent and it seems to me better than my 5 gallon torpedo. Of course I'm increasing my kegging costs, and these aren't cheap to begin with, and you have to change your keg more often, but these are still worth it to me.
These kegs are very well made. They seal and hold pressure just like they are supposed to. I have run two different brews through them and have only used a small amount of CO2. Beer tastes better than same batch from a bottle. I'm very happy I decided to start kegging my brew. They are also very easy to clean with 5 STAR PBW cleaner.
Just kegged a DIPA into it for the first time today (had some issues, but totally unrelated to the keg). Seems really well made, and holds pressure, at least up to the 30 PSI I'm force carbing overnight at. Excited to drink the beer!Note that the posts are a different size from my other kegs (AIH 2.5 gallon and Cannonball) -- no major issue, but had to use an adjustable wrench, and had some clearance issues with the rubber. Just means I'll need to actually get deep socket ratchets in the right size. Will buy another if they go on sale again (the AIH keg seems very close to the quality, so I don't think it's worth the price difference at full retail, but this was worth if for a deal of the day)!
Quality Italian made equipment. Great finish.Nice and compact, easy to take to the park and get buzzed on home brew.
I like this size because I don’t have to fully gut my fridge to fit the 5 gallon kegs like these.. I have a smaller full size fridge and I still can use the drawers at the bottom and have one upper shelf.
If the keg is going to be tossed around I see the need for the rubberized top and bottom, but if not use the torpedo keg
I like these so much, I have 6, Plus a couple of the 5 gallon ones for good measure. The only downside is you can't fit 2 high in a standard mini fridge, so it's two kegs at a time max. If they were about an inch shorter you could possibly fit 4 in a mini fridge which would have been amazing. These are solidly constructed, my first one is 7 years old, gaskets are still good, stainless looks new, no leaks, it's great. I have another similar keg that wasn't made in Italy and you can see the difference in quality. I really can't recommend these highly enough.
Well built keg that is extremely versatile.I originally purchased this keg to do small batches, but now I see just how versatile it is. I can take it on road trips, use it as a vessel to push line cleaner through my kegerator. If you add the portable CO2 you can use it anywhere. It also fits on the smaller shelf of my kegerator to allow another tap.
This keg is perfect for small batches. I get to brew more often with a smaller keg.
Purchased over a year ago and I am very happy with the handy size. I had no idea that I would find so occasions to use it.
These are great. Very well made. I ended up getting two and they are always in use. I will not hesitate to get a few more when I have some extra cash.
Makes it easier to deal with 5 gallons. Keg half and bottle the other half, especially if you've got gifts or competitions.
I already had some of the 5 gallon version of this product and really liked them, so buying this one was an easy decision. This keg is high quality and great to work with. The only problem is that I just own one of them. It would be great to have two so I could split 5 gallon batches to try different dry hopping schedules on the same base beer.
Pricey, but will last a lifetime. Buy it once and be done with it. Well packaged. Arrived with no dents. Sits nicely on top of the compresser shelf in my kegerator. Actually use this one to make club soda for mixed drinks. Rest of kegerator space holds 5 full size cornies. Stick with this Italian manufacturer...not the China brand.
I have two of them and I put them into an igloo with wheels that I bought from Costco then drove two small shanks into the side and put on my taps - now I have a portable draft system that I can bring to parties!
I prefer these kegs over my 5gal cornys because it allows me to do all kinds of fun things like:-bottle half and keg the rest-take kegs to parties in easy to travel coolers or paint buckets. -install a mini draft system inside the fridge at the office ( you heard me)-keg-hop a batch two different ways
Love these little kegs. And with AEB, you know you're getting quality.
$110 bucks for a really sweet keg. Made in Italy of high quality materials ready to be sanitized and filled with your home-made brewski. Get 2 and experiment with oak chips or dry hopping.
This keg is the perfect size for my kegerator. Not too tall like 5gal kegs. The quality of this keg is top notch!
I love this keg. I take it with me to friends home and the party is ready!!!!
great product. I have used to transport beer like in a growler and with CO2 in my kezzer. I use it way more often than I thought I would.
I built a cooler that can hold two of these, a 5lb CO2 bottle with regulator and my food for a long weekend. I installed two taps on the side of the cooler under the handle for protection. Now I can have tap beer anywhere.
This is an excelent keg and amount of beer to bring to meetings. It is also great when you have a little more beer in a fermenter that needs to be drank and not pitched.
I have a keezer that can handle three five gallon ball locks. I wanted more taps but don't have the room for a bigger keeper . I recently switched to these smaller kegs after realizing i can get six of these kegs in the same space as three large ones. I'm adding three more taps and with these kegs I'l split the five gallon patches I make into two of these. Now I can handle six different beers in my keeper.
I have a keezer capable of handling three five gallon corny kegs. I'm now switching over to these smaller kegs and stacking them on top of each other. I now can fit six different beers in the keeper instead of just three. Additionally its easy to take one of these with you when heading to friends. They are a bit pricey but they are new
