Corny Keg Rinser | Ball Lock Quick Disconnect (QD)

    Description

    • Rinse out your ball lock corny keg without disassembling the keg posts and dip tubes
    • Connect to your garden hose spigot and flush with water with the keg upside down
    • Quick and convenient way to wash out residue from a spent keg before it hardens

An inexpensive, time-saving assembly for rinsing out your Ball Lock kegs.

You've just finished a keg of your homebrew. Most of us set that keg aside and clean it later when we brew up the next batch. As it sits it gets harder to clean and then we definitely have to disassemble the entire keg to scrub all the parts.  Well for years our Metal Shop Manager and lead Product Designer, Darren Schleth, has been using a simple keg cleaner in our R&D brewery to rinse his kegs, while upside down, through the body connects.  The keg is instantly rinsed while all the residue is still soft.  The keg can then later be soaked with PBW and/or sanitized without having to remove the body connects or poppets.  This saves lots of time. As employees at MoreBeer! saw this simple assembly everybody wanted one of their own.

To use: Connect the brass garden hose attachment to a garden hose. Then connect the grey and black quick disconnects to the inlet and outlet body connects on your Ball Lock keg.  Remove the lid and  turn the keg upside down. Turn on the water. Water risnes through both the inlet and outlet dip tubes completely rinsing the inside of the keg.

This thing is awesome. So much easier to clean kegs.

Perfect for a quick keg rinse

This connects up to my deep sink's faucet. I have used it for four new kegs. It will come in handy when a keg blows anywhere. Such as when you bring a keg RVing. A quick rinse of all parts will make the PBW cleaning so much easier later on. It is such a deal compared to the sum of the individual parts.

Great way to rinse out your keg. I’m guessing if you build one yourself it would cost a few bucks more, so not a bad price. If you have a utility sink and use a hose adaptor I have a suggestion. Through no fault of the product, after hand tighten the hose connection the adaptor was very difficult to remove from the faucet. Maybe it was just my sink, but I wouldn’t even remove it with a pipe wrench. Also the threads were so sharp I cut my hand 4 times before I even realized it. Attaching the adaptor to the hose connector first and cranking down tight, even adding a little thread lock, will make it easier to remove from the faucet by forcing it stick to the hose connector rather than the faucet. Then I don’t have to worry about a hose adaptor stuck on there.

        Sparkly Clean

Hooked this up to my custom built tower cleaner and aquarium pump. A little warm water, oxy, and 20 minutes later those are some really clean kegs. I stripped one apart afterwards just to check and I couldn’t find any leftover crud. Did a great job, plus the price was basically what it would have taken me to purchase the parts individually.

        Awesome

If you have even one keg to clean, get this tool. Hot rinse, followed with PBW, followed with a couple of rinses. Easy and efficient.

        Worked Great

It's nice to just hookup the connections to rinse out the keg. Granted you will want to sanitize the parts as well but just to get everything rinsed without disassemble is nice.

        Great!

Was very surprised at how clean the kegs came out. I was able to use a hot water hookup.

Genius idea! Well constructed and easy to use. Not the only step to preparing your kegs but handy to have!

Well worth it. Easy to rinse kegs. I don’t bother removing the gas and liquid posts anymore. Worth the purchase.

Great way to rinse out a keg after you are done drinking all the beer and also to do a thorough rinsing after a deep cleaning with pbw.

        Great purchase

Very handy, much better than always removing the post from keg.

        You need one of these!

I love this thing! It makes rinsing out a recently blown keg a cinch. Then I use it to fill up the keg with hot water for a good pbw soak. Love it!

        Best $21.99 I ever spent

Worked flawlessly. As soon as the keg kicked, I connected the rinser to kitchen sink and ran hot water thru the keg for 3 or 4 minutes. It was ready to sanitize and refill with the next batch. What a time-saver!

        KEG320

Keg washer-ball LockJust got it the other day and hitched it up to my Cornelius keg to see how it works only to find that the Ball lock out (black) was not functioning at all so I tried it on my other three kegs and it still failed.. luckily I had purchased the KEG550 and changed the ball lock over and it worked like a pro.. Now I have to see if MOREBEER will reimburse me for the part. Other then that it works find.. A little better QC would have eliminated this problem.. I'd still recommend it to a Friend
