Ordered two of these. The finish and condition is very good and I pressure tested both and found no leaks. Fit well inside my fridge on the carport (where beer lives).
Great keg, it's a quality product... just like the five gallon big brother.
Just the right size and can be used for small batches of beer, mixed drink or cleaning solution for the keggerator taps
Looks great...haven't put a brew in there yet, but plan to use for 2.5 gal batch of Christmas beer (TBD) in the next few weeks...looking forward to it. Hopefully it seals as expected...will amend review as needed.
Love it exactly what’s needed when you need to take your beer mobile. Funny though when I first bought it I WO defeated if 2.5 gallons was a good quantity, seems I may have to purchase another one ??
was going to order small stainless size but this better size for price
I have a torpedo and this one. I like the protection of the rubber. Only issue is a leak at the gas post, I have to fiddle with it to keep a sea, it seems to have some play. Have not done any real troubleshooting, so not sure if it's the post or the connector. I would recommend this.
I sprung for this when it came on sale, to use for when I'm brewing smaller, experimental batches (because let's face it, bottling is a pain in the a**, even in small quantities). Really impressed with the overall finish and quality - I was expecting a solid product because it was new and all, but this was clearly a superior product. As some have noted, the lid latches very tightly and is quite stiff to open and close - but from my perspective this is a positive and not a negative at all. The LAST thing anyone would want is a loose lid (and I've had 'em). The only rap I have against this is the price, but as a new keg it's totally understandable (and I'm cheap), and I feel like I got value for my money. An easy thumb's up recommendation for sure.
This is a perfect keg. Works great. More than I expected.
Just what I was looking for to be able to split a 5 gallon batch with another brewer. I use the Kegland 5 gallon kegs and I've been very pleased with them.
Perfect for split or small batches. Fits on the ledge of the keezer for an extra tap. No leaks. Love it!
High quality keg, just dinged it a little because the top latch is exceptionally stiff compared to the 1.75 version I have. Will see if it loosens up over time.
Worked like a champ for my 2.5 gallon barleywine! And I can fit two of these (need to order 2nd one) and three 5 gallon ball lock kegs in my keezer. So If you want to play with smaller batch size, this is the right keg for the job!!!!
Got to my door really fast. It’s the perfect size for a third keg in my fridge
Great keg for half batches.
Came quickly and in good condition. I haven’t put them in service yet. I would buy kegs from Morebeer again.
Great keg. Perfect for half batches.
I purchased this keg as a gift for my wife and her homemade soda addiction. This keg is far more gorgeous than the beaten up kegs I buy for homebrewing. Everything is pristine and works flawlessly. There is a tab on the inside of the lid that allows us to "Dry Hop" our seltzer with lemon, limes, oranges, etc..
I've had this keg for about a year and it has started making a very loud stuttering noise when dispensing. The noise is not a hissing. It almost sounds like something is about to give or explode. If I release some pressure it will stop for a bit and I can finish dispensing a glass but it will happen again on the next glass. I use it for soda water. I have two of these kegs in my little system but only one is showing the problem. If anyone has any idea what might be wrong please let me know. I don't know if the lid has malfunctioned or if the problem is with an inlet or outlet valve. Can you help? Please?
