  • SR-800 Coffee Roaster

    Fresh Roast SR-800 Coffee Roaster

    8 reviews

Finally, an affordable 1/2 pound coffee roaster! The Fresh Roast SR800 features all of the great system upgrades we saw with the SR540, but with a larger maximum roast capacity of 8 oz of green coffee beans. The roast capacity of wet processed coffee is 8 oz, but for natural processed beans we recommend decreasing the roast capacity to 6 oz. Natural or dry processed beans create more chaff than wet-processed. The heat, fan, and time can all be adjusted by simply pushing in and turning the knob. The SR800 features a real-time temperature read out, allowing you to quickly check the current temperature with a quick turn of the knob. Instead of a general Low, Medium, and High temperature setting, this unit features 9 levels of heat adjustment. If you want to take your home roasting to the new heights, and get nearly double the roast capacity of the SR540, pick up the Fresh Roast SR800! Maximum batch - 8 oz Minimum batch - 4 oz 9 level heat adjustment Easily control heat, fan, and time settings 120V power Please note: overall roasting time may vary depending on your household outlet's voltage rating, as well as the overall size, density and moisture content of the beans.

  • Kit - Witbier (Mini Mash) - PLACEHOLDER Kit - Witbier (Mini Mash) - PLACEHOLDER

Witbier Belgian Ale | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | Mini Mash

    11 reviews

Light, crisp flavor spiced with Bitter Orange Peel and Coriander Includes 100% Saaz hops Estimated ABV: 6% Estimated IBUs: 16-20 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer A unique Belgian Ale with moderate bitterness from early kettle additions of Saaz hops. This beer is spiced with Bitter Orange Peel and Coriander, which lends a surprisingly pleasant flavor and aroma. The grain bill, (grain portion of recipe) includes Oats and Flaked Barley, which, when combined with a very special non-flocculating yeast leaves a cloudy, almost-white appearance. Hence, the name wit (white in Flemish). This is a very refreshing style that has a light, crisp flavor. There are some phenolic flavors as well, as you would find in some Belgian Abbey Ales or even German Hefeweizen. Hoegarden and Celis White are commercial examples that represent this style. Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity: 1.060-66 SRM (Color Range): 5 IBUs: 16-20 Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 6% Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. The recommended yeast(s) can be found below. All grains will come milled. The majority of our DME kits were converted from the LME version, which is why you may notice slight variances in the extract names and quantities on your recipe sheet. You may also find that your Specific Gravity and ABV% are slightly higher if you choose DME. Whether LME or DME, add all extracts provided according to the recipe sheet. Moonraker Brewing Company Space Nectar Hazy IPA | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | Extract

    1 review

This BrewMaster Series kit was scaled down to a homebrew batch size in collaboration with the brewmasters at Moonraker Brewing Company This juice bomb of a Hazy IPA overflows with flavors of peach, apricot and orange sherbet Includes Citra Cryo®, Amarillo®, and Apollo™ hops Estimated ABV: 7% Estimated IBUs: 40 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer Moonraker brewing is an absolute favorite amongst our staff members here in California. So, when they agreed to collaborate on a beer kit, we were through the moon. Moonraker is located in Auburn, CA and prides themselves on sustainability and quality. Their pedigree and collection of awards are undoubtedly incredible. Excelling at hazy IPAs, as well as traditional and experimental styles, everything produced is orally orgasmic. The beer is so delicious, if seen on tap in the wild, one MUST order the obligatory pint. When galaxies collide, stars and planets alike are ripped apart with all types of matter being flung hither and yon. Luminescent particles are scattered to the ether, condemned to wander the void or bound to coalesce into new celestial bodies. Some believe that amongst the chaos of colliding fragments, a mythical form of cosmic dust condenses into Space Nectar—matter so delicious that our Terra-bound taste buds would surely find it incomprehensible. Physics be damned, Moonraker Brewing Company's extraordinary Hazy IPA is the best estimation of what it may be like to take in this heavenly ambrosia. Space Nectar overflows with flavors of peach, apricot and orange sherbet. Over half of the hop bill is comprised of Cryo Hops® which lend a clean, pungent aroma to this absolute juice bomb. A healthy helping of pale wheat malt and flaked wheat provide the perfect amount of fuzz to complement the bright notes of stone fruit. If you can't wait to taste this juice bomb because it smells so good in the fermenter, don't worry! You can order directly from the brewery if you live in California! Try some of their constantly rotating selections alongside your own creation to see how they compare! Moonraker's head brewer, Brad Johnson, recommends cooling the wort to 170°F before adding the whirlpool addition to really make those hops pop. Ferment with Imperial Juice A38 or similar strain to add the ideal finishing touch. Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity: 1.069-74 SRM (Color Range): 4-5 IBUs: 40 Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 7.0% Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. To find our yeast recommendations, choose your preferred kit option above and then select the drop-down menu under “Yeast Options”. For more info, click on the recommended yeast(s) below in the “You Might Also Need” section below. All included steeping grains will come milled. Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME) MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers. Cryo Hops® is a registered trademark owned by Yakima Chief Hops, LLC.

    Galena | Pellet Hops

Galena is a classic American hop that was been used in many quintessential craft beers. Galena features great bittering with neutral character. Medium, pleasant hoppiness. Strong, somewhat floral, pleasant aroma. We use this hop quite a bit in an assortment of styles. MoreBeer! & Galena - a little fun history Galena was the original bittering hop we used in most of our kits thought the 90's. We later switched to using Magnum but many of our original customers still really like this hop. Regan Dillon, MoreBeer!'s second customer and later partner, was a big champion of this variety through the 1980's and 1990's. Regan still loves this hop so if you happen to run into Regan at our Concord store or at a festival you can become instant friends by saying "Man, I don't know why Galena isn't used more!"   Typical usage: High Alpha hop Aroma: Mild citrus aroma Alpha acids: 13.0-15.0% Beta acids: 7.5-8.5% Cohumulone: 34-39% Total Oil: 1.3-2.1 ml/100g Myrcene: 40-50% Humulene: 11-17% Country of origin: USA

Italy produces more wine than any country in the world and Molinas is the largest Italian cork supplier with over 1 billion corks produced annually. Molinas Cork was started over 100 years ago by Pietro Molinas on the Italian island of Sardinia. Besides its beautiful beaches and designation as one of the world's five Blue Zones, Sardinia is known for its large, government protected Cork tree forests. Today, the 4th generation of the Molinas family sustainably harvests cork from these protected trees. Compared to most cork available in the market, the bark is allowed to mature an additional year. This leads to a less porous, higher quality cork, and has less impact on the forest. Throughout the entire process from tree to finished cork, quality control is strictly monitored. • BrewBuilt Kettle Gen 2 with 3 x T.C. Fittings - PLACEHOLDER BrewBuilt Kettle Gen 2 with 3 x T.C. Fittings - PLACEHOLDER

    BrewBuilt® Brewing Kettle | 1.5" Tri-Clamp | Triple Port

    1 review

Welded 1.5" tri-clamp ports for a lifetime of leak-free use 304 stainless steel construction with mirror polish finish Front and back located handles with silicone grips Induction burner compatible Notched lid provides cover while not interfering with immersion chillers, hop bags, or other accessories The BrewBuilt Pro Brewing Kettle is built for even more versatility than the standard T.C. kettle. A third tri-clamp port is offset from the front and ready to accept an electric heating element, whirlpool return valve, or any other accessory that you want to incorporate with the kettle. Handles are located at the front and back, rather than either side, saving you space when building out a horizontal system and will keep fittings pointed away from you regardless of which side you pick up the kettle from. Designed for Brewing. Built to Last. BrewBuilt brew kettles are made from 304 stainless steel and offer an unparalleled mix of features for the price. At the very top of the list are three welded-in place tri-clamp couplers that offer a lifetime of leak free use.  As you can imagine, welding in a coupler costs more than punching a hole and using a gasketed (i.e. weld-less) fitting. Welded fittings offer a permanent connection that to us is worth every penny.  The second unique feature that we absolutely love about these brew kettles is the notched lid with silicone plug.  This notch allows you so much flexibility; you can use an immersion chiller, one of our Ultimate Sparge Arms for mashing, tie off hop bags, take a temp reading during cooling, or whatever else we all can dream up.   Our T.C. kettles were designed to keep pace with the ever-evolving world of brewing technology. Tri-clamp fittings are standard fare in professional breweries, and they’ve been widely adopted in homebrewing as T.C. fermenters and pumps become more affordable and widely available. Tri-clamp fittings, also known as Tri-clover, allow you to make a sanitary connection that is free of nooks and crannies for contaminants to take hold. They are much easier to break down for cleaning compared to threaded connections, and they don’t require Teflon tape to make a watertight seal. T.C. fittings and accessories also give you the distinct advantage of being able to clean in place (CIP), so you don’t need to break down your entire system after every brew day.   This kettle comes without fittings so you can modify it with whatever tri-clamp accessories best suit your needs.   This Brew Kettle has a lot to offer... Some other features we dig include the internal volume markers from the bottom to the top - so handy for instant reads.  The silicone sleeved handles on the kettle and the lid are a cool feature to protect your hands. The tri-clad bottom with a 4mm core of aluminum sandwiched between two layers of stainless steel offers even heat distribution during the boil and also makes it a perfect choice for anyone wanting to use an induction burner.  The bottom coupler is also cool with 1/2" male threads on the outside and 1/2'' female threads on the inside.     Beefy 304 Stainless These kettles are made from 304 grade stainless.  That means you will have less corrosion issues than with a kettle made from lower grade 201 type stainless. We put these kettles through a corrosive salt water test in the MoreBeer! shop and they passed with flying colors. We also made sure the rivets and riveted handles were also made of stainless steel for a long term, trouble free life.  The 10 and 15 gallon size are made from 1.0mm thick stainless steel. The 20, 30 and 50 gallon size are made with 1.2mm stainless - that's pretty thick stuff - and you will know it when you pick one up. The included ball valve is a two piece design that allows for easy cleaning (we prefer these over 3 piece for ease of assembly) and is also made from 304 stainless.    Mirror Polish Finish The mirror polish finish isn’t just for making your Instagram feed pop! This extra slick finish is much easier to clean and sanitize than a standard brushed stainless kettle. Hop trub and other organic solids left behind after a brew day will have a hard time clinging to the interior surface and scrub away with ease.   Size Ratios and Stuff All the BrewBuilt kettles follow the recent trend to a 1.2:1 ratio where the height is 1.2 times the diameter. This is a proven commercial ratio that has been adopted in homebrewing to achieve a more consistent 10% evaporation rate during the boil.  We do like this ratio for boiling. For Mashing we would prefer a little bit shallower but that is a small compromise. Dimensions for a hot-liquor tank, if you are thinking brewing system down the road, are irrelevant as any ratio kettle will do.     Final Words With welded tri-clamp fittings, mirror polish finish, a bunch of cool features, and a solid, thick 304 stainless steel core this kettle is a pretty amazing value. Remember, if you order from MoreBeer! we ship free anywhere in the continental USA!   Features: Three welded T.C. couplers for a lifetime of leak free use Notched lid with silicone plug for flexibility 304 Stainless construction for longevity 1.0mm (10 & 15 gal) or 1.2mm (20, 30 & 50 gal) thick side walls resist denting 4mm Tri-Clad Aluminum bottom sandwiched between two layers of stainless steel for no scorching Internally etched volume markers from top to bottom for easy reading Silicone coated handles for heat protection 1.2:1 Ratio is optimal for boiling evaporation rate Lid is designed to conveniently hang from a handle  Stainless handles with stainless rivets for secure lifting     SKU Size Kettle ID (in.) • AlcoEngine - Copper Reflux Still w/ Barbs AlcoEngine - Copper Reflux Still w/ Barbs

AlcoEngine Copper Reflux Still Top w/ Barb Connections

    1 review

The Copper Reflux Still Condenser is designed to create high percentage pure neutral spirit. It features a flow management device, which makes it extremely easy to use. No need to worry about fine tuning the water flow speed. As long as your providing enough coolant or cold water running through the condenser, the flow rate doesn't matter. The purity of the spirit can be controlled by two included flow control inserts. These brass inserts come with a 1.0mm hole and 0.6mm hole. As the hole gets smaller, the rate at which the spirit exits the condenser will decrease, thus increasing your reflux ratio and the purity of your spirit. If you want to make whiskeys and gins we recommend checking out the Copper Pot Still! This is only the still top and does not come with a boiler. Combine with a distillation lid to use a BrewZilla or DigiBoil as the base for this Alcoengine brand still top. Comes with 13 mm (0.51") barb connections for the water inlet and outlet. RoboPorter Robust Porter | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | Extract

    3 reviews

This Robust Porter recipe has a smooth roastiness that you will enjoy sip after sip Includes Fuggles and Cascade hops Estimated ABV: 5.8% Estimated IBUs: 22-27 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer The future of porters is here.  Introducing RoboPorter!  While this beer isn't going to stop crime or save lives*, it is definitely a robust porter that you need to try!   A noticeable, but not overwhelming roastiness covers your palate, making you want another sip as soon as you put down your glass.  The bottom line is, this is an amazing robust porter, and if it could talk, we're guessing it would say "extract or all grain, you're brewing with me"! *Note: It is possible that RoboPorter could stop crime or save lives, just not guaranteed. Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity:1.058-62 SRM (Color Range): 34 IBUs: 22-27 Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 5.8%   Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar.

Pale Ale by Frank Ellis | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

Our Signature Series kits offer a selection of crazy, unique beers developed by MoreBeer! customers, associates, and homebrewing legends! This recipe displays the malt, alcohol and hoppiness of an IPA but with the bitterness of a Pale Ale Includes Willamette and Cascade hops Estimated ABV: 5.8% Estimated IBUs: 39-42 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer The legendary Frank Ellis, Grandfather of our Signature Series Kits, brings you his over the top Pale Ale with an amazing 7 oz of hops and 9 lbs of malt extract. It has the malt, alcohol and hoppiness of an IPA but the bitterness of a Pale Ale. Frank started with our American Pale Ale II, KIT250 – but this wasn’t enough flavor for Frank. So he added one pound of malt extract, more finish hops, followed by... yet more finish hops! The resulting flavor is malty with plenty of hop flavor, courtesy of the copious amounts of Cascade and Willamette hops. One day while  on the phone placing an order with us, Frank got tired of having to make these additions to our existing KIT250 so he asked why he couldn’t have his own kit to cut down on confusion. He was absolutely right!  So the series was born! When you are drinking any of the Signature Series recipes, raise your glass and give a virtual cheers to fellow homebrewer Frank Ellis in Missouri for the good idea. Frank has brewed his own kit an amazing 62 times over the last decade! Frank recommends using White Labs California yeast, WLP001 or Wyeast American, WY1056. Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity:1.058-62 SRM (Color Range): 7-11 IBUs: 39-42 Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 5.8% Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. • Dry Wine Yeast - Clos - PLACEHOLDER

    Clos Dry Wine Yeast

    3 reviews

Clos is a yeast strain isolated from the Priorat region of Spain. Clos was chosen for its ability to re-enforce structure while emphasizing aromatic complexity and mouthfeel. Sweet red fruit (cherry), with pepper and chocolate notes are typical of what Clos brings to a fermentation. With hot climate/high Brix fruit, Clos is a great choice for its high alcohol tolerance (17%), low Nitrogen needs and short lag phase. Clos also does well with higher fermentation temperatures (max 95 F) and shows a good compatibility with MLF. Highly recommended for Syrah, Petite Syrah, Grenache, Tempranillo and Carignane. Irish Red Ale | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | Mini Mash

    3 reviews

Our Irish Red Ale recipe is hard to nail down as any specific style—similar to a big Amber Ale, but it's so unusual it does not really fit within any category. Malt character utterly dominates this beer's flavor profile, containing dark Crystal malts, including Special B, and a pinch of Roasted Barley for a deep, red color and a very distinctive caramel flavor. Irish Red Ale has been one of our most popular ingredient kits for many years, and continues to receive a lot of positive feedback from satisfied customers to this day. If you're going to be venturing into new realms of taste discovery, this is a winning ticket we can solidly recommend! Compared to the Extract version of this kit, the Mini Mash recipe swaps out some of the malt extract for 2-row malt. And the special instructions included with the kit will walk you through conducting a miniature mash that goes beyond the typical steeping grain process in standard Extract recipes. Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity:1.047-52 SRM (Color Range): 20 IBUs: 39-43 Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 5% Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. The recommended yeast(s) can be found below. All grains will come milled. Please Note: In order to better serve our customers, we are now offering our extract recipe kits with either Liquid Malt Extract (LME) or Dried Malt Extract (DME). • Abstrax - Skyfarm Natural Fruit Flavor - Passion Fruit - PLACEHOLDER

Abstrax® Skyfarm Series | Natural Fruit Flavors | Passion Fruit

Abstrax® Skyfarm Series represents the freshest, most perfect version of fruit flavor and aroma Add high-amplitude, recognizable fruit flavor to your beer, cider, or seltzer without the hassle and potential downsides of using whole fruit or puree Flavor/Aroma: Fruity, Tropical, Citrus Built with terpenes for consistent results every time. Absolutely no variance or guesswork that comes with fresh fruit products Zero added sugar guarantees there's no risk of refermentation after you add it to your beverage Passionfruit The multidimensional flavor of this tropical fruit seems unreal, but this is no simulation. Passionfruit is marvelously tart and tangy, vividly floral, and it radiates brilliant notes of citrus that always keep you thirsty for that next sip. Natural Fruit Flavors The Skyfarm series represents the freshest, most perfect version of fruit flavor and aroma. It has none of that “cooked” off-flavor that can sometimes tank a beer. There’s also none of that grandma’s perfume, potpourri, or floral junk either. Skyfarm is high-amplitude, recognizable flavor - and that’s important because when you put Strawberry on your bottle label or tap handle, people are going to expect to smell strawberries. It’s built with terpenes for the ultimate flavor consistency, ensuring the same flavor in every season. Benefits Skyfarm offers the same ease-of-use benefits as fruit purees without the downsides. No sugar is added to your batch so there's no risk of refermentation, there's no solid waste to remove when your beer is ready to be packaged, and there's a much lower risk of micro contamination compared to adding fruit products to your vessel when fermentation is complete. Since you can add Skyfarm at the coldest point in your process - after cold crashing, in the brite tank, or your keg - there is also no risk of aromatic compounds being driven out through your blowoff. Skyfarm also contributes no haze to your finished beer and doesn't leave a sticky residue behind, so you can forget about scrubbing fruit gunk from your tanks. Dosage Dosing rate greatly depends on your recipe and desired flavor intensity. We recommend starting with 2.5 mL for a 5-gallon batch and increasing to 5-15 mL for high-intensity flavor impact. Add after fermentation is complete, ideally at the coldest and latest point in your process, in your fermenter, keg, or bottling bucket. Features: 100% efficient flavor/aroma transfer No added mouthfeel. Won't impart sweetness or body Contains no sugar. Zero risk of refermentation Increases yield by avoiding product absorption TTB Approved Powered by Terpenes Repeatable Recommended storage: 40-90°F. Do not freeze.

Put the lid back on and store in the refrigerator for your next batch! WLP653 Brettanomyces lambicus offers high intensity Brett character of horsey, smoky and spicy flavors. As the name suggests, this strain is found most often in Lambic style beers, which are spontaneously fermented beers. Also found in Flanders and sour brown style beers. Use WLP653 for Lambic, Flanders Brown (Oud bruin), Flanders Red, Gose, Geuze and Berliner Weisse beers. PurePitch® Next Generation—now with more yeast, get a foolproof fermentation without a starter! Just twist the cap & pitch! Why PurePitch Next Gen versus other options? Typically yeast manufacturers use a range for how many yeast cells are going into each package. This can vary widely, especially from strain to strain. Next Gen offers a far more precise cell count across all strains allowing you to use the Whitelabs exclusive pitch calculator. Simply scan the barcode on the back of each package to be taken to their online calculator. Enter the volume, strength, and pitching temperature of the wort you are fermenting and the calculator tells you exactly how much yeast to pitch. You will be fermenting like a professional brewer, using the same concentration of yeast every time and enjoying more consistent results. Don't need a full package? Put the lid back on and store in the refrigerator for your next batch. Whitelabs has also increased the viability (the number of living cells in the package) over the shelf life of the yeast. Next Gen strains are grown in their unique, small-batch reactors to assure freshness and then packaged in a special film that allows for off-gassing, assuring that their viability is absolutely industry leading. Attenuation: N/A Flocculation: Low Alcohol Tolerance: 8-12% ABV Optimum Fermentation Temp: 85°F Cell Count: 150 Billion For best results we always recommend ordering an ice pack with your liquid yeast. Please Note: When choosing an ice pack option beware that the liquid yeast will not arrive cold even when shipped together. Ice packs and insulated mailing options are designed to keep the yeast colder for longer during shipment, but they will not ensure that your yeast arrives cold. We will not replace liquid yeast that arrives warm. During warmer months we strongly recommend you choose dry yeast.

DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

    58W3 Dry Wine Yeast

    1 review

A yeast strain that really brings out aromatic components in white wines, especially Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Viognier and Semillion. Also a great choice for mead fermenations where it has a significant aroma/flavor input. Specifically Fruity/Floral aromas are emphasized through the natural liberation of terpenes found in these varieties. What we think is particularly unique about this strain is the creation of smoky/spicy aromas. Also selected as a commercial yeast strain for its ability to create mouthfeel volume and richness. So to recap - fruity/floral/smoky/spicy aromas and flavors with good mouthfeel... where do we sign up! Lallemand recommends adding Go-Ferm during rehydration and Fermaid K to the ferment to ensure that this strain ferments to dryness. Download the PDF Download the PDF

    BrewBuilt® SlingBlade Watertight Power Switch

Due to high demand, this item is currently out of stock. Be the first to receive your items by placing a pre-order today. We will automatically ship this to you when we receive more inventory.   The easiest way to power the BrewBuilt™ SlingBlade! This professionally wired watertight switch gives you a simple On/Off control of your heating element. Switches both legs of a 220V 30AMP circuit and comes with 5 ft. input and output cords with molded LP6-30P ends. It also features two handy tabs for mounting to a wall. Don't wear out your expensive plugs and sockets hot patching your 220V burner elements. Plugging your element directly into a live power outlet will cause a small spark, and when done repeatedly this can damage the plug and the socket, especially with high voltage 220V appliances. Not only is the power switch more convenient to turn your element on and off during the brew day, it will eliminate the risk of damage done by hot patching.
