Does Flash Brewing make real beer?
Yes — fully fermented, alcohol-containing beer. The malt and hops are pre-processed so you skip the boil, but fermentation happens exactly the same way. The result is indistinguishable from extract-brewed beer.
Do I need any special equipment?
No. The Flash kit includes everything you need. No kettle, no propane, no stove required. Just a clean space to ferment and a little patience.
How long until I can drink it?
Brew day is 10 minutes. Fermentation takes 1–2 weeks. Add another week for bottle conditioning. You're looking at roughly 3 weeks start to first sip — mostly waiting.
What if my first batch turns out bad?
Rarely happens when you follow the instructions. If it does, call us — we've heard every scenario and can usually diagnose it fast. We've been doing this since 1995.
How much beer does one batch make?
The 2-gallon Flash kit makes about 20 twelve-ounce bottles. The 5-gallon kit — and all traditional kits — make roughly 48–50 bottles, about two cases.
