All-Grain Beer Recipe Kits

Are you looking for an all-grain homebrew recipe? If so you came to the right place! We have over 200 beer recipe kits to choose from. All of our brewing kits come with the freshest ingredients and the grain is available either milled or unmilled.

All-Grain vs Extract Beer Kits

All-grain beer recipes are made exclusively from grain without the use of malt extracts. All Grain Beer Recipe Kits differ from malt extract recipe kits or mini mash kits in that the home brewer employs the practice of mashing. Mashing is the process where malted grains are soaked in hot water. The heat activates naturally present enzymes that then convert starch to sugars. You then rinse the sugar out to create your sweet wort. All Grain beer recipe kits are available for ales, lagers and specialty beers. Check out our selection of affordable All-Grain Brewing Systems. Find out more about the advantages of an all-grain brew and order a kit today from MoreBeer!

  • Kit (All Grain) - Pineapple Ugly Fish IPA - PLACEHOLDER Kit (All Grain) - Pineapple Ugly Fish IPA - PLACEHOLDER

Pineapple Ugly Fish IPA | Ballast Point Pineapple Sculpin® Clone | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

    4 reviews

Our Ballast Point Sculpin® IPA clone recipe kit with a pineapple twist. Add the flavoring at packaging and enjoy this tropical IPA  Bittered with Warrior® hops and finished with a beautiful blend of Cascade, Simcoe®, and Chinook late additions Estimated ABV: 7% Estimated IBUs: 62-69 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer This is our normal Ugly Fish IPA that you know and love but with pineapple flavoring included. Add the flavoring just prior to bottling or kegging and you'll have a great tropical IPA to enjoy. Contrary to its name, Ugly Fish IPA is actually one of the most beautiful beers we have to offer!  Designed as a clone of the highly sought-after Ballast Point Sculpin® IPA, the Ugly Fish IPA is a hop masterpiece.  This beer starts with a very clean bitterness from Warrior® hops, and finishes with a beautiful blend of Cascade, Simcoe®, and Chinook late additions.  With almost 10 ounces of hops, the Ugly Fish IPA is definitely a hop forward beer, but does have a solid malt profile that stands up to those hops and helps to keep it reasonably balanced. If you're looking to treat your taste buds to a beer that we think has been hopped perfectly, we highly recommend the Ugly Fish IPA! Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity: 1.067-72 SRM (Color Range): 6-8 IBUs: 62-69 Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 7%   Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. • Kit (All Grain) - Ale Industries Rye'd Piper - PLACEHOLDER Kit (All Grain) - Ale Industries Rye'd Piper - PLACEHOLDER

    Ale Industries Rye'd Piper | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

    1 review

This BrewMaster Series kit was scaled down to a homebrew batch size in collaboration with the brewmasters at Ale Industries A malty red ale with a very hop-forward structure Includes Magnum, Northern Brewer, Willamette and Cascade hops Estimated ABV: 5.9% Estimated IBUs: 31-35 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer Ale Industries was the second brewery to open in Concord, and just happened to be right next door to us (man, we were lucky)! Morgan and Steve, the brewers and co-owners, opened Ale Industries with one thing in mind - to not brew the same beers that everyone else is brewing. Their first beer, a hybrid Witbier called "Orange Kush" (now called Golden State of Mind), is more malty and aromatic than most commercial wits are. The second beer, Rye'd Piper, is a malty red ale that has a very hop-forward structure, but not over the top, like some reds can be. Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity: 1.056-62 SRM (Color Range): 18 IBUs: 31-35 Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 5.9%   Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. • Kit (All-Grain) - Jim Rossi's Honey Pale Ale - PLACEHOLDER Kit (All-Grain) - Jim Rossi's Honey Pale Ale - PLACEHOLDER

Honey Pale Ale by Jim Rossi | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

    2 reviews

Our Signature Series kits offer a selection of crazy, unique beers developed by MoreBeer! customers, associates, and homebrewing legends! Lightly hopped with loads of honey to penetrate through the malty flavor profile Includes 100% Cascade hops Estimated ABV: 4.7% Estimated IBUs: 13-17 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer We would not have put 3lbs of honey with 7 lbs of malt in a pale ale, but Jim had no fear and did just that. The result - a really nice mix of malt and honey flavors. There is enough honey to make it through into the flavor. Just a little Cascade hops in the beginning and finish keep the flavor emphasis on the honey. He suggests WLP002 because it is less attenuative and leaves more malt behind. Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity: 1.047-52 SRM (Color Range): 5-6 IBUs: 13-17 Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 4.7%   Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. • Low stock! Kit (All Grain) - Firestone Walker Hopnosis Cold IPA - PLACEHOLDER Kit (All Grain) - Firestone Walker Hopnosis Cold IPA - PLACEHOLDER

Firestone Walker Brewing Company Hopnosis Cold IPA | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

    1 review

This Brewmaster Series kit was scaled down to a homebrew batch size in collaboration with Firestone Walker Brewing Company One of the newest takes on the IPA style—Cold IPAs are highly hopped but fermented cold with a lager strain Includes Simcoe®, Callista, Talus®, Mosaic Cryo®, El Dorado, Idaho #7, Cashmere, Nelson, and Riwaka™ hops Estimated ABV: 6.7% Estimated IBUs: 50 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer A new way to IPA! Firestone Walker's Hopnosis IPA represents one of the tastiest examples of a new beer style that is quickly gaining ground—Cold IPA. These beers feature the massive hopping schedules you'd expect from an IPA but are then fermented cold with a lager strain. This gives the beer a clean, crisp and crushable profile while allowing the hops to be on full display.  From the top of the boil to the final post fermentation dry hop, you'll find a long list of delicious hop varieties from the U.S. and New Zealand. One of the standouts is Mosaic® Cryo Hops® which are used as the biotransformation dry hop addition. Prepare to be absolutely mesmerized by Hopnosis IPA's explosion of tropical fruit flavors including mango, passionfruit, white grape, and lychee. What Firestone Walker Has to Say About Hopnosis: In early 2022, we launched Hopnosis as our next-generation West Coast-style IPA. Now the time has come to embrace an even more accurate stylistic moniker for Hopnosis: Cold IPA. While IPAs are typically fermented with ale yeasts, cold IPAs like Hopnosis are fermented with lager yeasts. Remember that IPA stands for India Pale Ale, so fermenting an IPA with lager yeasts signifies a break with tradition. “When you use a lager yeast to ferment an IPA, you get a cleaner and less ester-driven aroma profile,” said Brewmaster Matt Brynildson. “The colder fermentation also creates a lighter backbone that helps accentuate the bright, tropical hops we’re using. So while Hopnosis offers a lot of things you love in a straight-ahead West Coast IPA, the lager yeast is what pushes it toward the Cold IPA style.” As a result, Hopnosis rings all the bells of a Cold IPA: crisp and crushable, with a clean hop profile. Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity: 1.059-64 SRM (Color Range): 4-5 IBUs: 50 Estimated Original Gravity: 6.7% Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. Social Kitchen & Brewery Puttin on the Spritz Brut IPA | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

    9 reviews

This BrewMaster Series kit was scaled down to a homebrew batch size in collaboration with the brewmasters at Social Kitchen & Brewery Decidedly dry yet sneaky drinkable and thirst-quenching with notes of tart citrus and tropical fruit Includes El Dorado and Mosaic® hops Estimated ABV: 6.9% Estimated IBUs: 24 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer If you're blue, and you don't know where to go to, why don't you go where dry beer sits? Puttin' on the Spritz! There's a new style on the scene that has everyone tapping their toes, and we're excited to bring you a beer from the man that started the tune. In our latest addition to the BrewMaster Series lineup we have one of the original Brut IPA's - Puttin' on the Spritz! This hybrid IPA is the brainchild of Kim Sturdavant of Social Kitchen & Brewery in San Francisco, California. We first met Kim on our journey to brew with and understand the amyglucosidase enzyme (the signature ingredient responsible for a Brut's dry character). Kim, being the stand-up fella that he is, was kind enough to not only share his knowledge of the AMG enzyme, but also the very recipe that shook up the brew scene and inspired countless iterations of the style. Despite its dry character, Puttin' on the Spritz is sneaky drinkable with a thirst-quenching profile. El Dorado and Mosaic® hops impart tart citrus and tropical fruit notes, while a grain bill primarily featuring pilsner malt and flaked corn makes for an ultra-clean finish with almost no caramel or overt malty flavors. Crisp, dry, clean, crushable. Curious about Brut IPA's? Check out There and Back Again, A Brut IPA Tale! In this article, our own Vito Delucchi takes us along on his quest to unlock the mysteries of the amyloglucosidase enzyme and discover the best methods for brewing Brut IPA's. Also be sure to check out Kim's Brut IPA website where he discusses the philosophies, techniques, and history of this emerging style. Biere de Garde | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

    1 review

Highly drinkable, malt-forward beer with a slight toasty nose from Munich malt Includes Northern Brewer hops Estimated ABV: 8% Estimated IBUs: 19-22 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer The "Original Gatoraid", Bière de Garde was said to give the French and Belgian farmer a much needed boost of energy during the day, due to the low alcohol and relatively high residual sugar content. Our version has a bit more malt than tradition dictates, but we think you will find this beer highly drinkable. The malt is the focus of this style of beer, with a slight toasty nose from the Munich. A yeasty character is not uncommon, and is achieved by an extended period of contact with the yeast bed – some commercial breweries go for up to six weeks! This should be fermented at 64°F. • Kit (All Grain) - Symons Galaxy - Australian Sparkling Ale - PLACEHOLDER Kit (All Grain) - Symons Galaxy - Australian Sparkling Ale - PLACEHOLDER

Imperiale Beer Project Symons Galaxy Australian Sparkling Ale | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

    2 reviews

This BrewMaster Series kit was scaled down to a homebrew batch size in collaboration with the brewmasters at Imperiale Beer Project Light, easy-drinking body paired up with delicious hop-forward flavors and aromatics Includes 100% Galaxy hops Estimated ABV: 4.4% Estimated IBUs: 21 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer It's a big brewing world out there, make sure you see as much of it as possible! Australian Sparkling Ale is one of those mysterious beer styles that a lot of us had never sampled (or even heard of, really). But its light, easy-drinking body paired up with delicious hop-forward flavors and aromatics make it an outstanding, sessionable brew. Pilsner dominates the malt profile with a dash of White Wheat and Carapils for body and mouthfeel, allowing the hop combination of Galaxy and Strata to really pop. Similar to how the best view of the Milky Way is on a moonless night in the Outback, these hops are on gorgeous display as post boil and dry hop additions, with very little bitterness to cloud the citrus, tropical, and cannabis character they impart. Symons Galaxy was first brewed at Imperiale Beer Project in Brentwood, CA as part of a virtual collaboration with Australian beer historian, Peter Symons. Who better to have at your side (albeit through the computer screen) than the gentleman who literally wrote the BJCP guidelines for the style? This collaborative effort resulted in a unique, modern take on the ASA style—introducing Strata, a non-Australian hop, into the mix to complement the heavy additions of Galaxy hops. Symons Galaxy was a smash hit, and is sure to satisfy any hop head out there. For great reads on historic Australian beers and other topics, check out Peter's collection of books here. Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity: 1.038-43 SRM (Color Range): 3 IBUs: 21 Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 4.4% Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. He says "It is a like a Black and Tan" with a honey flavor of course. The beer does not taste like a true stout but is very far from being a Pale Ale. The continually positive response of "wow" from friends and other MoreBeer! customers prompted us to make his unique combination as his own kit, Honey-Stout. Travelin Man Pale Ale by Craig | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

    1 review

Our Signature Series kits offer a selection of crazy, unique beers developed by MoreBeer! customers, associates, and homebrewing legends! A quintessential example of the Pale Ale style, this recipe perfectly balances malt and hop character Includes Cascade and Northern Brewer hops Estimated ABV: 5.2% Estimated IBUs: 29-33 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer Craig has been perfecting his Travelin Man recipe over the years by brewing for competitions and for his own consumption at home. Travelin Man is at the high end of the pale ale guidelines, with a nice balance between the malt and hops. This is a great beer to let cold condition. Cold conditioning brings forward the malt flavors and makes it even easier drinking. Craig created this beer to take the edge off a long day of driving on the southern California freeway system and as his house ale. So whether you have been to the East or just feel like someone has given you the third degree, this fine ale will deliver what you are looking for. Craig recommends using White Labs California Ale Yeast. This Dank IPA has a high bitterness and is packed with hops that contribute pine, earthy, and resinous notes Includes Nugget, Columbus, Galena, Amarillo®, Simcoe®, Cascade, Citra®, Motueka, Nelson, Galaxy, and Strata hops Estimated ABV: 9% Estimated IBUs: 100+ Makes 5 gallons of finished beer Do android brewers dream of electric hops? Hopefully we never have to find out, lest some dystopian future forces intrepid homebrewers to rise up against their robo-brewer overlords to spark a new (human) craft beer revolution. Terpene Dream will take you Offworld and back to experience flavors that some people wouldn't believe. Our take on the subgenre of India Pale Ale referred to as Dank IPA, this beer emphasizes the close genetic relation that hops and cannabis share. • Kit (All-Grain) - The Ron Mexico Pale Ale - PLACEHOLDER Kit (All-Grain) - The Ron Mexico Pale Ale - PLACEHOLDER

Ron Mexico Pale Ale | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

    2 reviews

When we first got our hands on experimental hop HBC 438 (nicknamed Ron Mexico and now known as Sabro™) we couldn't wait to design a recipe around it Includes Magnum and Sabro™ hops Estimated ABV: 4.6% Estimated IBUs: 53-57 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer The next hot hop? This delicious Pale Ale is based on new experimental hop, HBC438, that has the unofficial name of  Ron Mexico due to its native US neomexicanus  hop heritage. This hop has enticing aromas of stone and tropical fruit, orange, mint, and herbal characteristics.  Vinnie from Russian River Brewing (of Pliny fame) used this hop in an experimental beer brewed for the National Homebrewers Conference and also recently raved about this hop in a talk we attended. The story of this hop is really unique. Traditionally hop breeders finish the testing of experimental hops internally and then release to the commercial market. Now they are turning the tables and trying something new!  HBC 438 is being released EXCLUSIVELY to the Homebrewing community first. Then in the future, as more is grown, they will release it to commercial brewers. So the tables are flipped - Pro brewers will be reading your reviews and seeing what you thought of the hottest new hop.  What is also cool is that all proceeds from the sales of these hops go to ALS.net and help fund the ALS Therapy Development Institute, the world's largest non-profit biotech focused entirely on ALS Research.  Our take on a Ron Mexico pale includes some acid malt and carapils for body, crystal 60 for color and richness, and Rahr Two-Row for a great malty base. Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity: 1.045-1.049 SRM (Color Range): 6-8 IBUs: 53-57 Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 4.5-4.7% Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. • Kit (All Grain) - American Honey Porter - PLACEHOLDER Kit (All Grain) - American Honey Porter - PLACEHOLDER

American Honey Porter | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

    3 reviews

The classic porter character of roast and coffee is beautifully balanced by a pleasant bitterness and a slight nutty taste and subtle honey flavor Includes Chinook and Cascade hops Estimated ABV: 6% Estimated IBUs: 31-34 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer In 2011, the White House home brewed beer for the first time in, well, perhaps centuries! We were super were excited when a MoreBeer! customer first submitted his freedom of information act request for the White House homebrew recipes. We were a little surprised, and we'll say it - let down - when we saw the actual recipes. One MoreBeer! staffer blurted out "Whoa...this seems like beer that Prince Harry should be brewing." English malt extract, English hops, and even an English yeast strain were used; so the only thing truly American was the honey! It seems that we were not the only beer lovers to pick up on this. So while we really, really love English beers as much as the next homebrewer, we think the White House Brewmasters should be using fresh ingredients from well...America. Since we were tweaking the recipe towards this side of the pond, we decided we could also help educate the White House staff on their yeast selection. Yes dry yeast has gotten better but since it's for the White House and all, we think they can spring for liquid yeast...and is there any better choice for this recipe than Wyeast 1056 AMERICAN Ale or White Labs 001 California Ale?? Not really. In fact, just queue up the star spangled banner, turn on the football game, and throw some hot dogs on the grill because we are starting to feel pretty patriotic here. So while we send this kit along with our friendly suggestions back to the White House, YOU can make the exact same beer at home. That way if you are in a diner somewhere on the campaign trail and the president pulls up you can whip out a bottle of the 'Honey Pale the White House Should Be Making' or the 'Honey Porter the White House Should Be Making' and enlighten the Top Dog, homebrewer style. This American Honey Porter is composed of all American ingredients, including: Crystal 40L, Black Patent, Chocolate Malt, and Domestic 2-Row Chinook and Cascade Hops California Wildflower Honey This is an amazingly drinkable porter recipe which will have you coming back for more!  The classic porter character of roast and coffee is beautifully balanced by a pleasant bitterness and a slight nutty taste.  This is a beer which will be fantastic fresh, and even better if you can keep your hands off long enough to let it age!  The honey character is nearly buried under the porter character, but provides an interesting and refreshing spin on the classic porter! Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity: 1.054-59 SRM (Color Range): 26-28 IBUs: 31-34 Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 6%   Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. • Kit (All Grain) - White Koji Ale - Proper Sake - PLACEHOLDER Kit (All Grain) - White Koji Ale - Proper Sake - PLACEHOLDER

Proper Sake Co. White Koji Ale | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

    1 review

This BrewMaster Series kit was scaled down to a homebrew batch size in collaboration with the brewmasters at Proper Sake Co. An incredibly crushable light pale ale made with White Koji. Refreshing and citrusy Includes Cascade and Huell Melon hops Estimated ABV: 5.5% Estimated IBUs: 12 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer Whether you're in constant search of new ways to push the "traditional boundaries" of brewing, or you're just looking for another crushable crowd pleaser to add to your arsenal of recipes, Proper Sake's White Koji Ale is the beer for you. As the name implies, this recipe is crafted around the specialty ingredient of White Koji. Koji is a staple ingredient in the fermentation processes for sake, soy sauce, miso, and more. But White Koji, in particular, is gaining ground as a new brewing ingredient which can impart a beautiful citric acidity in the final beer. This recipe from Proper Sake Co. results in an incredibly crushable light pale ale with a slight haze in the glass. The malt character will hang in the background as Cascade and Huell Melon support the overall refreshing, citrusy quality enhanced by the White Koji. Our friends at Proper Sake Co. are specialists in Kimoto and Yamahai sake production—and have been known to apply their fermentation knowledge to a beer or two. Next time you find yourself in Nashville, TN, pop into Rice Vice bar to sample from their amazing selection of sake. Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity: 1.052-57 SRM (Color Range): 4 IBUs: 12 Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 5.5% Please note: Your printed recipe sheet may reference 20 oz of White Koji in the "Recipe Tips" section. While Chad had tried homebrewing before and "didn't have much luck at it", he jumped right in and has brewed every week for the last three years! Phantasm Hazy DIPA | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

Our Phantasm Powder hazy recipes are bursting with a tropical bouquet complimented by a choice selection of New Zealand and Pacific Northwest hops Includes Mosaic®, Amarillo®, Cascade, Talus®, Vic Secret, Strata, Idaho 7®, Riwaka™, and Sabro™ hops Estimated ABV: 8.2% Estimated IBUs: 42 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer If you're hearing ghostly tales whispered around your local homebrew shop, there's no need to pile your brew crew into the hippy van—this one is no mystery. Phantasm Powder has been causing quite a stir on the craft beer scene, and the buzz is well deserved. Adding this powder to your wort and fermenting it with a thiolized yeast strain is one of the easiest ways to boost tropical flavor and aroma in your finished beer. Derived from Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc Grapes, this powder will add a concentrated dose of thiol precursors. During fermentation, yeast will go to work on these aroma compounds and "free the thiol", boosting the tropical bouquet of your beer to supernatural levels. We're stoked to get this cutting-edge ingredient into the hands of homebrewers so we designed a series of Phantasm recipe kits that will set you up to take full advantage of brewing with Phantasm Powder. Our Phantasm Hazy Double IPA includes 10 ounces of aroma hop additions from whirlpool to biotransformation to post fermentation, leaning on some choice New Zealand and American varietals and turns it up a notch with two additions of Cryo Hops® for an extra concentrated kick of hoppy goodness. Since this kit series is all about the thiols, we start with whole cone Mosaic in the mash to further increase the thiol precursors. Add the Phantasm Powder at flameout along with your whirlpool / hop stand additions. For maximum effect, we highly recommend choosing a thiolized yeast strain for fermentation which are specifically designed to boost thiol biotransformation. Pale Ale by Frank Ellis | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

Our Signature Series kits offer a selection of crazy, unique beers developed by MoreBeer! customers, associates, and homebrewing legends! This recipe displays the malt, alcohol and hoppiness of an IPA but with the bitterness of a Pale Ale Includes Willamette and Cascade hops Estimated ABV: 5.8% Estimated IBUs: 39-42 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer The legendary Frank Ellis, Grandfather of our Signature Series Kits, brings you his over the top Pale Ale with an amazing 7 oz of hops and 9 lbs of malt extract. It has the malt, alcohol and hoppiness of an IPA but the bitterness of a Pale Ale. Frank started with our American Pale Ale II, KIT250 – but this wasn’t enough flavor for Frank. So he added one pound of malt extract, more finish hops, followed by... yet more finish hops! The resulting flavor is malty with plenty of hop flavor, courtesy of the copious amounts of Cascade and Willamette hops. One day while  on the phone placing an order with us, Frank got tired of having to make these additions to our existing KIT250 so he asked why he couldn’t have his own kit to cut down on confusion. He was absolutely right!  So the series was born! When you are drinking any of the Signature Series recipes, raise your glass and give a virtual cheers to fellow homebrewer Frank Ellis in Missouri for the good idea. Frank has brewed his own kit an amazing 62 times over the last decade! Frank recommends using White Labs California yeast, WLP001 or Wyeast American, WY1056. The Mosaic® Single Hop Experiment | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

    4 reviews

Our Single Hop Experiment series is the perfect way to learn the characteristics of individual hop varietals Includes a small bittering addition of Magnum and three 2 oz additions of your chosen hop for late boil and at dry hopping Estimated ABV: 5% Estimated IBUs: 35 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer We recently had a simple, yet exciting idea: What if we brewed the same recipe, used the same yeast, but changed one thing - the flavor, aroma, and dry hop additions using one hop varietal. That way we could take two beers that are close to identical and pick out the differences in just the hop flavors and aromas! And thus, the Single Hop Experiment was born. This recipe is based off of a simple Pale Ale: 2-Row, Crystal 15L, Magnum bittering hops, and then a single other hop for the rest of the additions. The malt in this recipe is basic and fairly neutral, the bittering clean and consistent, but the flavor and aroma from the late hop additions will vary; sometimes dramatically! Ever wanted to know what your favorite hop really is? Brew a few of these different Single Hop Experiment recipes to find out! IPA II BKG Bomb | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

    2 reviews

German malts and English hops collide. BKG Bomb is a far cry from today's modern, citrus-forward IPAs Includes Magnum and British Kent Goldings hops Estimated ABV: 7.2% Estimated IBUs: 84-88 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer Where do German Malts and English Hops exist side by side in peace and unlikely harmony.  In our BKG Bomb of an IPA!  This big brusing beer, with an amazing mouth feel from copius amounts of German Munich Malt, is big on deep malt flavor and big on alcohol. It is the antithesis of todays super citrusy hopped, pale colored IPAs.  This is all about malt, malt, malt and how British Kent Goldings (BKG) hops blend  oh so well with a malt heavy beer.  British Kent Goldings are the most prized ale hops in England and known for their subtle nature and floral aromas that really compliment malt flavors. Do you need a little extra sustenance to make it through the winter? Do you like to slice your beer with a knife? Do you need a break from over-the-top hopped IPA's? If you answered yes to any of these questions, The BKG Bomb IPA II should be your next  beer. Features 10 lbs of German Munich Malt and 3 lbs of American Pale. As if that was not enough we also include some Carapils for body building.  The 4 oz of British Kent Golding hops in the finish provided for a unique and authentic English flavor. Bittered with 2oz of Magnum hops for a firm bitterness to stand up to all the malt. Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity: 1.073-77 SRM (Color Range): 12 IBUs: 84-88 Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 7.2% (Makes 5 gallons) Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. The Citra® Single Hop Experiment | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

    2 reviews

Odiferous Brown Holiday Brew by Kyle | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

    1 review

Our Signature Series kits offer a selection of crazy, unique beers developed by MoreBeer! customers, associates, and homebrewing legends! This recipe makes a delicious brew with big body, rich malt, and a complex spice blend of All-Spice, Cloves, Nutmeg, Saigon Cinnamon, and Ginger Includes Perle and Northern Brewer hops Estimated ABV: 6.8% Estimated IBUs: 23-27 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer A few years ago we had a competition in our showrooms for the best Holiday Beer. The winner was an unknown brewer named Kyle Sommers. We actually hired Kyle following the competition to work in our customer service office(see where good homebrew will get you!) In 2010 Kyle graduated from the Siebel Institute to continue his dream of becoming a professional Brewmaster. He is now brewing at Lagunitas.  We loved the big body, rich malt, and the extremely complex spice blend. When we went to make the recipe for sale we thought twice because we had to buy out the spice section of our local grocer. Based on a Northern English style Brown Ale, it has 6 different spices added at two different times in the brewing and fermentation process, resembling and inspired by a Belgian-style winter beer. This winter warmer will make your kitchen smell like Thanksgiving Day at Grandma's house. With some added Belgian brown sugar to counter-balance the spice and add some alcohol content, this is a great way to top off your Holiday adventures by the fireside. If you are a firm believer in the Reinheitsgebot (no spices, sugar, etc.), this is not the beer for you! Kyle suggests using White Labs English Ale yeast, WLP002 Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity: 1.066-70 SRM (Color Range): 21 IBUs: 23-27 Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 6.8%     Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. 21st Amendment Bitter American Ale | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

This BrewMaster Series kit was scaled down to a homebrew batch size in collaboration with the brewmasters at 21st Amendment An easy-drinking pale ale with few bittering hops but giant fistfuls of flavor and aroma hops Includes Cascade, Liberty, and Willamette hops Estimated ABV: 4.3% Estimated IBUs: 33-41 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer Shaun is known for creating beers that are well-balanced while doing some unique things, such as using watermelon juice in a wheat beer, or oyster shells in an oatmeal stout. His Assistant brewer Jesse created this beer, an easy-drinking pale ale with few bittering hops but giant fistfuls of flavor and aroma hops. This beer has low alcohol and a soft malt backbone with an incredible hop finish - your answer to the hop shortage! Jesse and Shaun recommend using WLP001.  Shaun O'Sullivan of the 21st Amendment, San Francisco, California Shaun's brewing career started like most in the beer industry - homebrewing. While working at a Southern California law firm, Shaun was spending his time making beers at home. After about 2 years, he not only decided that he wanted to make beer for a living, but that he wanted to open his own place! Shaun moved up to the SF Bay Area to start working at a few local breweries, while taking several brewing courses at UC Davis. Shaun eventually teamed up with his business partner Nicco Freccia, and together, they founded the 21st Amendment Brewery and Restaurant. They are one of the few breweries in the country leading the craft beer canning revolution, canning their "Brew Free or Die" IPA, and their "Hell or High Watermelon", which is an American-style Wheat beer brewed with real watermelon juice. When in San Francisco, visit Shaun at the brewery (563 2nd Street), which is just two blocks from Giants park.
