The Brewing Network has become THE number one source for brewing information on the web. Their flagship show, The Sunday Session, was the first live show about homwebrewing and craftbrewing on the internet. Chad Moshier, the stations producer, created this brown ale as an easy-drinking session beer, and became a cult favorite on the show. Chad relocated to California from Connecticut, and hooked up with Justin, the founder of The Brewing Network. While Chad had tried homebrewing before and "didn't have much luck at it", he jumped right in and has brewed every week for the last three years! Chad says, "I enjoy brewing all styles but have a soft spot for hoppy beers, there is nothing like sharing and enjoying your own brew at home!" We think he's on to something ...

Cali Mountain Flash Brewing KitInspired by one of the most iconic craft beers of all time, Sierra Nevada’s Pale Ale features a delicious malt balanced by a firm bitterness, with Cascade hops providing zesty citrus flavors. This perfect blend creates a complex yet easy-to-drink Pale Ale.
Flash Brewing® KitsIntroducing MoreBeer!'s Flash Brewing® Kits! Designed for both novice and seasoned homebrewers, these innovative recipe kits allow you to simply mix the ingredients with water and add yeast for fermentation. This streamlined process not only saves you valuable time but also simplifies brewing without sacrificing flavor. Say hello to a faster, easier way to craft exceptional beer at home.
Typically, brewing requires you to boil your malt and hops for one hour, followed by another hour for cooling. Flash Brewing® eliminates the need to boil. Our Flash Brewing® malt recipes have been boiled and whirlpooled before they are dried. We then use a HopBite™ shot for bitterness combined with a mix of traditional hop pellets for flavor. Flash Yeast™ starts quickly and consistently produces clean beer that lets the malt and hops shine. The result is a high-quality beer that will absolutely surprise you.
If you want to read more about the development of Flash Brewing® at MoreBeer! or have more questions please read our Frequently Asked Questions.
Equipment Required for Flash Brewing®Flash Brews can be fermented in any wide mouth 6 or 7-gallon fermenter you already own. We suggest a wide mouth fermenter so you can easily pour in the ingredients. The 7-gallon Fermonster fermenter is a perfect choice. One of our best-selling kits of all time, Irish Red Ale is decidedly malt-forward with a distinct caramel flavor
Includes Northern Brewer and Willamette hops
Estimated ABV: 4.8%
Estimated IBUs: 39-46
Makes 5 gallons of finished beer
Our Irish Red Ale recipe is hard to nail down as any specific style—similar to a big Amber Ale, but it's so unusual it does not really fit within any category. Malt character utterly dominates this beer's flavor profile, containing dark Crystal malts, including Special B, and a pinch of Roasted Barley for a deep, red color and a very distinctive caramel flavor. Irish Red Ale has been one of our most popular ingredient kits for many years, and continues to receive a lot of positive feedback from satisfied customers to this day. If you're going to be venturing into new realms of taste discovery, this is a winning ticket we can solidly recommend!

Get on your way to making delicious beer with the FermZilla Flat Bottom Starter Kit. The kit includes the 30L Flat Bottom FermZilla as well as the most precious brewing tools you'll need when making your first batch and beyond. Bottle capper, hydrometer, bottling wand and more, all bundled together at an unbeatable price.
The FermZilla Flat Bottom Fermenter is an excellent option for making all kinds of beverages, from beer and wine to kombucha and cold brew coffee. It's compact, lightweight, and made of brilliantly smooth PET. The extra-large lid opening makes it easy to get your arm inside and scrub the walls clean after use. The Flat Bottom features the same lid as the Conical FermZilla's, so installing accessories like a thermowell or Temp Twister Cooling Coil couldn't be easier.
Why MoreBeer! loves the Flat Bottom FermZilla:
Super smooth PET makes cleaning very easy.
Tight-sealing lid and PET material make for a better oxygen barrier than fermenters made of HDPE.
Lightweight and easy to move around, yet strong enough to be considered shatterproof.
The 4.75" lid opening makes it easy to get your arm inside and clean after use.
The lid is designed for the easy installation of accessories such as a thermowell or cooling coil.
Affordable! The Flat Bottom is one of the most affordable plastic fermenters in this size range.
What's Included:
FermZilla 30L Flat Bottom Fermenter
3-Piece Airlock
Adhesive Thermometer
Adhesive Voume Marker

Oxygenate your wort like the pros with the OxyWand Oxygenation kit! Insert the oxygenation wand into your fermenter and pump in thousands of microscopic oxygen bubbles for 1-2 minutes to improve the health of your yeast. Healthy yeast produce amazing flavors and have the stamina to completely finish fermentation.
That is not the only reason yeast love the OxyWand™. Yeast hate to compete with bacteria and you hate to drink them. Sintered stainless stones are made of tightly compressed stainless steel powder to create a porous block through which oxygen can flow. This micro maze is also the perfect environment for bacteria to live in after the stone has been used once in wort. That is why we love to boil our stones prior to use. The stone on the OxyWand™ is connected via a 1/4" flare fitting and can easily be removed and cleaned after use and then boiled before your next brew day.
This OxyWand™ Oxygenation kit comes complete with adjustable brass oxygen regulator, Sanitary air filter, 4 ft of tubing, Instructions, and a 26" long 0.5 Micron OxyWand™.
The advantage of using compressed oxygen to oxygenate is speed - you can oxygenate your wort in 60 seconds as opposed to 30-120 minutes with aeration. This .5 micron stone can only be used with compressed oxygen because an aeration pump does not supply enough pressure. If you are looking for an Oxywand to use with aeration pumps please see the 2 micron version.

Complex flavors of rich chocolate and caramel followed by a touch of warmth and a light malt sweetness
Includes Columbus and Cascade hops
Estimated ABV: 7%
Estimated IBUs: 33
Makes 5 gallons of finished beer
Dark as night, the Shallow Grave Porter is the perfect beer choice for a cool, dark evening. This a big Porter with complex flavors of rich chocolate and caramel followed by a touch of warmth and a light malt sweetness that will leave you ready for the next shovelful.
When we say big, we mean big, as this beer starts with a whopping 10 lbs of malt extract. The complex malt flavors come from a blend of Black Patent, Chocolate, and Crystal malts. Cascade and Columbus hops provide a firm backbone yet a subdued hop flavor.
This BrewMasters Series kit comes from Jamil Zainasheff who owns Heretic Brewing and is also a Brewing Network podcaster. Before he went pro, he won the California Homebrewer of the Year award twice, the national Ninkasi award for the best homebrewer in country, and hundreds of other brewing awards. He has been a MoreBeer! customer and friend since the 1990's. One of his favorite styles of beer is Porter and he continued to perfect this recipe over many years.

Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME)
MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

There is a large top access for manual stirring. The walls of the mash tun are insulated to provide stable mashing temperatures. While intended for a single infusion mash, step mashing can be performed by recirculating through a heat exchanger. The sparge arm is adjustable in height and it is intended to have an inch of water above the grain and have the bottom of the diverted plate resting on top of the grain for low oxygen pickup during recirculating and sparging. We recommend that you use a grant to avoid creating suction on the bottom of the mash screen. It is possible to pull 23,000 lbs of force on the screen with a pump and a fully stuck mash and even partial vacuums can produce significant force. Alternatively, you can install a vacuum breaker ahead of the pump. Replacement screens are available for special order. Mash Tun Features:

Notes Regarding Mash Rake & Plow System The motor comes un-wired. We recommend having an electrician install a reversing motor control in a remote location Raise the plow blade before mashing When it is time to grain out the blade is released onto the top of the mash and allowed to scrape from the top down to the false bottom The rakes are reversed for mashing out The CIP back flush under the screens is accessed by pumping into the inner ring under the mash. This should be closed while mashing The center pipe and outer ring are for wort collection and should be connected to the wort receiver There is a wort return port for recirculation There is a non-adjustable sparge ring for sparge/lauter For more information regarding setup, click here. This now iconic recipe comes from the late homebrewing legend—and our dear friend—Mike “Tasty” McDole. Mike is one of the best homebrewers we’ve ever known, and one of our original customers way back when the entire MoreBeer! operation fit inside a storage shed. Aside from brewing many award-winning beers, Tasty helped grow homebrewing as a hobby, and as a community, here in the Bay Area and well beyond.
Janet’s Brown Ale is the recipe for which Mike won the 2004 National Homebrew Convention gold medal in its category. He once told us the most important critique he ever received was from his late wife, Janet. She really loved this brown ale and it was her favorite of all Mike’s creations. When you’re done brewing this beer, we ask that you raise a glass and toast to the memory of Janet and Mike McDole.

Bursting with hop character with a smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Our best-selling Hazy IPA year after year
Includes Warrior®, Citra®, and Mosaic® hops
Estimated ABV: 6.4%
Estimated IBUs: 28
Makes 5 gallons of finished beer
Haze Craze is our take on the hazy New England IPA recipe. Also known as a North Eastern IPA, or Juicy IPA, it quickly became one of the most popular beer styles in the US. It packs all of the hop character that craft beer nerds love, and it's much softer and less bitter than classic West Coast IPAs, making it a much more approachable style for the uninitiated. The style accentuates hop character while maintaining a smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Light in color but hazy due to heavy dry hopping, yeast selection, as well as additions of oat and wheat. Low in bitterness with a huge hop character due to hop-bursting, this beer will satiate even the biggest hop head.
NEIPA has become popular nationwide thanks to breweries like Tree House Brewing, The Alchemist, Hill Farmstead and Grimm Artisanal Ales. One taste of this delicious style will make a staple in your brew schedule.

Features Flaked Barley for the classic head retention, but also has Carapils for added body and Munich malt for increased maltiness. Think of it as a maltier, creamier version of Guinness with slightly reduced bitterness.

Smaller home brews should still produce results that are just as tasty as larger batches, which is why this 5 Gallon Stainless Steel Kettle is an excellent addition to your home brew setup. This small 5 gallon brewing kettle is a great kettle for the beginning brewer to learn on, as it holds a manageable sized batch and it’s available for a very affordable price.
Although this brew kettle is quite economical, it’s also made of high quality 202 stainless steel that is anything but cheap. The 0.5-mm thick sides and bottom are more than thick enough for this amount of liquid, and the riveted stainless steel handles on the kettle’s body make it easy to carry even when filled. This 5 gallon kettle can safely hold up to 3 gallons of wort while boiling, making it the perfect size for extract brewing right in your own home!
Features:
0.5mm thick stainless sides and bottom
10" H x 12.5" D
Riveted Handles on Kettle Body
Kettle Lid with riveted handle
5 gallon full capacity (3 gallons while boiling)

Are you a fan of Moose Drool? This is MoreBeer!'s take on the popular brown ale from Big Sky Brewing.
Combining 3 different steeping grains, our Brown Moose recipe is full of flavor! The chocolate malt, caramel 60L, and midnight wheat give this beer a nice light brown color and a taste that is light on the palate. Malt , caramel, chocolate, and coffee are just a few of the flavors you'll enjoy in this complex ale.
If you like brown ales that leave you wanting more, but don't knock you off your feet, then this is the perfect recipe for you!

The BrewBuilt SlingBlade is an innovative electric heating element designed to promote a rolling boil and even heat distribution. Shaped for Performance and Convenience The SlingBlade's unique crescent-shaped design positions all of the heating power on one side of the kettle, sending thermal energy upward to the surface that then cascades downward on the opposite side of the kettle. This movement creates a dynamic turbulence that evenly distributes heat while creating a vigorous, rolling boil. Other heating elements stick right out into the middle of the kettle or use a full circle design that rings the kettle wall. This can cause an obstruction for immersion chillers or make it difficult to stir without banging into the element. The SlingBlade was designed to avoid these issues. By remaining on one side of the kettle, the element will be out of the way of your immersion chiller, and since the element follows the curvature of the kettle wall, it won't interfere with the flow of wort during whirlpool. Ultra-Low Watt Density An electric element transfers power to your wort by applying heat, but if this heat is too concentrated you will get local heating that is hotter than 212°F. This catalyzes Maillard Reactions, which can lead to darker beer than intended and produce unwanted caramelization. Think of these reactions like roasting a marshmallow. First it gets a light brown, we call this Maillard reactions, a little hotter and it gets a dark brown, we call this caramelization, then it turns black and we call this pyrolysis (burnt or scorched). While all kettles undergo these reactions, an electric element can concentrate more heat into a small area, which can quickly scorch your wort. Our experience is that at 90-watts per square inch recipes need to be modified to account for the element and light beers never come out quite right. The SlingBlade element was designed at 50-watts per square inch to reduce the chance of scorching while still providing a vigorous boil. For even lower watt density, consider the Boil Vigor Controller. Tri-Clamp Connection The SlingBlade installs quickly and easily on any kettle with a T.C. ferrule thanks to the curved, non-circular design. This also makes it a breeze to remove the element for cleaning between uses. The SlingBlade heating elements were designed to fit perfectly with BrewBuilt brewing kettles, but you may find them suitable for other kettles as well. They should be used with T.C. ferrules no longer than 1" in length. For dimensions and recommended minimum kettle diameter, please see the chart below. Features: Made from Incoloy alloy with proprietary coating for long life 1.5" Tri-Clamp connection Unique offset design promotes rolling boil Ultra-Low Watt Density eliminates scorching UL Certified components Specs: 240 Volt L6-30 plug 20 Amp breaker required for 10 & 15 gal element 30 Amp breaker required for 22 & 31 gal element 50-gallon kettle requires 2 x BE538 and 2 x 30 amp circuits SKU Kettle Vol. Wattage Length Radius Min. The Hop Prophecy IPA Flash Brewing® Kit
The Hop Prophecy delivers a revelation in hop intensity—an explosion of aroma and flavor from a prophetic blend of Sabro Cryo, Mosaic Cryo, and Citra Cryo hops. Tropical fruit, coconut, blueberry, mango, and bright citrus burst from every pour, balanced by a smooth malt backbone with subtle notes of honeyed biscuit and light caramel. A clean fermentation with Flash Yeast™ ensures the hops shine brightly while finishing crisp and dry. With massive hop character, bold strength, and a remarkably fast turnaround, the Hop Prophecy proves that great beer doesn’t need to take forever.
Flash Brewing® Kits
Designed for both novice and seasoned homebrewers, these innovative recipe kits allow you to simply mix the ingredients with water and add yeast for fermentation. Flash Brewing® offers a streamlined process that not only saves you valuable time but also simplifies brewing without sacrificing flavor.

A properly controlled fermentation temperature is critical to producing quality beer. The now-iconic original Fermentation Temperature Stabilization System (FTSs) resulted from many napkin sketches that applied advanced thermodynamics to traditional brewing practices. The system is elegant in its simplicity and incredibly efficient, yet it was the third product we ever designed at Ss Brewtech, just after the Brew Bucket and Chronical. For an encore performance to the classic FTSs, we wanted to reimagine what homebrewing temperature control could be.
Your chill source can be as simple as a cooler with ice or as sophisticated as the Ss Glycol Chiller. If your setup requires temperatures to be corrected both up and down, check out the optional FTSs Touch | Heating Pad.
The FTSs Touch is designed to be paired with systems like the Unitank, Chronical BME, and Brite Tank BME, which already have a cooling coil and neoprene jacket.
What's Included:
FTSs Touch Display
FTSs Nub (junction box)
FTSs Pump
Digital Thermoprobe
3/8" Silicone Tubing
FTSs Pump Ice Guard
Silicone Thermoprobe Holder
Stand Mount
TC Mount
Cable/Tubing Management Ties

Another great invention coming out of Ss Brewtech, the Keg WaSsher! This is a hands free, clean in place keg washer that will make cleaning kegs one of the easiest steps of the brewing process. Gone are the days of disassembling your keg to clean it.
The cleaning process is pretty simple. Just take the keg lid off, attach the keg washer, attach both ball lock QDs, stick the whole thing upside down in a bucket full of sanitizer, turn on the pump and your keg is clean.
The Keg WaSsher is designed to fit in a standard 5 gallon bucket. It also only uses 2 gallons of cleaning solution resulting in less chemical waste and evironmental impact. If you want to get fancy, you can set up a wash station with 3 buckets to perform an initial cleaning, fresh water rinse, and sanitizer. All you have to do is lift the whole apparatus from one bucket to the next!
Features:
Hands free operation
Chemical resistant submersible pump
Attaches to common ball-lock Cornelius-style kegs w/ removable lids
Powerful CIP spray ball
Entire assembly fits in 5-gallon bucket
Cleans inside of keg and ports simultaneously
Easily attaches/detaches from kegs
Perform clean, rinse, and sanitize steps all with the same unit

Keep your temps tight with the BrewBuilt™ HLT Controller! Perfect for keeping your sparge water or mash water at your set temperature—it allows you to control a 208-240V heating element up to 30 amps based on temperature. The controller works by turning the burner power on and off at 100% power until it reaches the temperature setpoint. Features industrial-style power switches, and a 1/6 DIN Controller mounted on a splash resistant stainless steel enclosure. Pre-cut mounting holes allow you to hang the controller on your brew stand on the wall at eye-level. We highly recommend mounting the controller so you don't have to worry about keeping an area of your table dry where you might lay it down. L6-30 connections with 4 ft. cords on either end. Compatible with all 208-240V elements 30 amps and lower. While L6-30 are the most common elements available, yours may need an adapter. Uses a 9' stainless braided PT-100 temperature sensor.
The HLT Controller includes a contactor to fully shut off both legs when you throw the power switch, making the free end of the cord safer when the element is not plugged in.
If you'd prefer not to mount the controller to your wall, consider the stainless steel Controller Stand.

The ultimate control & precision of your fermentation process. Equipped with four built-in temperature controllers and pumps, this advanced chiller enables you to independently regulate the temperature of multiple separate fermentation vessels simultaneously, ensuring optimal conditions for different batches or styles of beer, making it a game-changer for homebrewers.
4 Built-in pumps and digital controllers
Control multiple fermentation temperatures independently Fill with 20% glycol solution for optimal chilling performance Cold crash with good insulation Perfect complement to BrewBuilt X-Series Conicals The IceMaster Max 4 is designed to cool fermentations in small vessels. It features 4 built-in submersible pumps with independent digital temperature controllers and can be used with any vessel that has a glycol jacket or submersed cooling coil/rod. Each controller includes a temperature probe that should be inserted into a thermowell in your vessel or can be taped to the outside of the vessel if you don't have a thermowell. The digital controller then measures the temperature of your tank and turns the submersible pump on or off to cool to your desired set temperature. Up to four tanks can be controlled separately with one IceMaster Max 4. Compatibility The IceMaster can be used with any fermenter that has a built-in cooling jacket, added CoolStix, or a submersed cooling coil. It works well as the cooling source for the following systems and fermenters. BrewBuilt Jacketed Uni Conical - we recommend one Insulated Tubing Kit for each tank. These kits feature "dry break" quick disconnects that prevent glycol loss and the insulated tubing will increase chilling efficiency and eliminate line sweating from condensation. CoolStix - CoolStix can be added to a wide range of carboys, fermenters, and tanks and the IceMaster works really well in combination. Each CoolStix is available with or without a pump kit; for use with the IceMaster Max 4 you will only need the CoolStix and some tubing to connect it to the chiller. Ss Brewtech Fermenters and Brites - Ss BME Chronicals, BME Brites, and Unitanks come with cooling coils and neoprene as standard. The optional chilling FTSs will not be needed for use with the Max 4. The cooling coil for standard Ss Chronicals and Brew Buckets are not sold a la carte and must be purchased with a submersible pump, which is not needed for the Max 4. For standard Chronicals and Brew Buckets you might consider the IceMaster 100 for cost savings. Spike Conical with Optional Cooling Coil - the cooling coil for Spike CF series conicals is available for purchase independently from the TC-100 cooling system. For use with the Max 4 you will only need the coil and some tubing to connect it to the chiller. Speidel Tanks with Optional Cooling Jackets - You will need two lengths of tubing to connect the chiller to each tank. Grainfather Fermenters - Grainfather fermenters have standard cooling jackets. You will need two lengths of tubing for each fermenter. Blichmann Fermenators with Optional Cooling Coil - You will need two lengths of tubing for each Fermenator. Capacity It is always difficult to determine exactly how many tanks can be chilled at one time as it depends on what is happening in each tank, if the tank is insulated, and what the ambient temperature is. Cold crashing always requires the most energy and requires tank insulation. We have experimented with capacities and can provide this general guide based on a 75°F ambient and neoprene insulation. Neoprene provides a modest amount of insulation so you would obtain better results using Armaflex or a higher R rated insulation. Capacity calculated at cold crashing to a target temperature of 38°F while the ambient temperature is 75°F with neoprene insulation (double tank capacity for ale fermentation temperature control): 2 - 1BBL (31 Gallon) Jacketed Tank 2 - 1/2BBL (15-20 Gallon) Tanks 3 - 10-14 Gallon Tanks 4 - 5-7 Gallon Tanks Set Up In order to hook up the IceMaster to your fermenter or tank's cooling system, you will need 2 lengths of tubing per vessel. All tubing connections should be secured with hose clamps. Length 1: Barb of 1st bulkhead (IN) to cooling system outlet
Length 2: Barb of 2nd bulkhead (OUT) to cooling system inlet

The most affordable all-in-one automated all-grain brewing system!
Mash grains and boil wort in a single vessel
External pump kit for recirculating mash will improve efficiency, consistency, and clarity
DigiBoil electric kettle automatically maintains mash temperatures with the digital controller
Dual heating elements combine for 2400W of power
The DigiMash system represents the best value in electric all-grain brewing you'll find. With a 9-gallon DigiBoil electric kettle and the DigiMash stainless steel mashing accessory pack included, this is by far the most affordable way to get into electric all-grain brewing. It may not have all the bells and whistles of the BrewZilla, but it does have everything you need to mash and boil all in one unit.
With the Recirculation Pump Kit, you can recirculate sweet wort during the mash to improve starch conversion, maintain a consistent temperature throughout the mash, and improve the clarity. The pump can also be used to move water around your brewery if you use a secondary vessel to hold sparge water, or to transfer the wort from your kettle to your fermenter. With the optional Whirlpool Arm, you can also swap out the Recirculation Arm and use your pump kit to whirlpool after the boil.
If you're deciding between the DigiMash and the BrewZilla, there are a couple of key differences worth noting. One of our favorite features of the BrewZilla is the programmable mash steps and delayed start, which the DigiMash does not have. You can still step mash by simply raising the temperature manually on the controller, but the automatic steps are a convenient feature if you want to set it and forget it.
One advantage that this setup has over the BrewZilla is that the pump is external. This makes cleaning and fixing pump issues much easier, as you can quickly take apart the pump head to clean and clear out residual gunk at the end of each brew day.
This model comes with the 35L DigiBoil, which has two built-in heating elements that run off a 220V plug. One element is 1900w and the other is 500w for a combined 2400 watts! The elements can be individually controlled, allowing you to use a single element to gently hold temperatures, or engage both elements to quickly go from mash temp to boiling. Temperatures are set and automatically maintained through the digital control panel. Simply set your desired temperature and flip on the heating element(s).
DigiBoil Features:
304 stainless steel construction

An extremely malty, copper colored beer. A lager requiring cold fermentation in the 48 to 58 degree range. The hop flavor is subdued in favor of the rich maltiness. Let it age for about six months at lagering temperatures, but it will be ready to drink after only one month. Higher in alcohol. The malt extract for this kit is made entirely from German Pilsner Malt, giving it that classic European flavor.
