Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME)
MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

Abstrax® Skyfarm Series represents the freshest, most perfect version of fruit flavor and aroma
Add high-amplitude, recognizable fruit flavor to your beer, cider, or seltzer without the hassle and potential downsides of using whole fruit or puree
Flavor/Aroma: Tropical, Sweet, Woody
Built with terpenes for consistent results every time. Absolutely no variance or guesswork that comes with fresh fruit products
Zero added sugar guarantees there's no risk of refermentation after you add it to your beverage
Guava
It was always ahead of its time, so make sure you’ve captured the alluring tropical aroma Guava is known for. With its lush floral notes and unique hints of musk, craft beverages are finally ready for this exotic fruit.
Natural Fruit Flavors
The Skyfarm series represents the freshest, most perfect version of fruit flavor and aroma. It has none of that “cooked” off-flavor that can sometimes tank a beer. There’s also none of that grandma’s perfume, potpourri, or floral junk either.
Skyfarm is high-amplitude, recognizable flavor - and that’s important because when you put Strawberry on your bottle label or tap handle, people are going to expect to smell strawberries. It’s built with terpenes for the ultimate flavor consistency, ensuring the same flavor in every season.
Benefits
Skyfarm offers the same ease-of-use benefits as fruit purees without the downsides. No sugar is added to your batch so there's no risk of refermentation, there's no solid waste to remove when your beer is ready to be packaged, and there's a much lower risk of micro contamination compared to adding fruit products to your vessel when fermentation is complete. Since you can add Skyfarm at the coldest point in your process - after cold crashing, in the brite tank, or your keg - there is also no risk of aromatic compounds being driven out through your blowoff. Skyfarm also contributes no haze to your finished beer and doesn't leave a sticky residue behind, so you can forget about scrubbing fruit gunk from your tanks.
Dosage
Dosing rate greatly depends on your recipe and desired flavor intensity. We recommend starting with 2.5 mL for a 5-gallon batch and increasing to 5-15 mL for high-intensity flavor impact. Add after fermentation is complete, ideally at the coldest and latest point in your process, in your fermenter, keg, or bottling bucket.
Features:
100% efficient flavor/aroma transfer
No added mouthfeel. Won't impart sweetness or body
Contains no sugar. Zero risk of refermentation
Increases yield by avoiding product absorption

G2 model features redesigned flow control mechanism for improved shank sealing and flow control Make instant adjustments to beverage flow as you pour Switch from pouring pints to filling growlers without adjusting your CO2 regulator Reduced first pour foam due to low thermal mass Forward-sealing design prevents beer residue from gumming up the faucet Unique shuttle design greatly improves laminar flow, improving the pour of carbonated beverages Compatible with all Intertap faucet accessories and shanks Generation 2 The NukaTap Flow Control G2 uses a completely new flow control mechanism with better sealing properties against the shank as well as improved flow control. Control the Flow The flow control model is a great option for users that often switch between beer styles with different carbonation levels. No need to rebalance your lines or play with your regulator settings. Instantly make adjustments as you pour to dial in the flow rate. This is also a super convenient feature for when you want to grab a quick growler on your way out. By dialing back the flow rate, you can gently fill your growler so CO2 stays in solution and your beer doesn't pour flat when it comes time to share. The NukaTap Flow Control faucet is also the first FC model to be fully compatible with the optional self-closing spring. First Pour Foam Reduction Every kegerator owner knows the letdown of pouring your first pint of the day and getting too much foam. Even with perfectly balanced draft lines, first pour foam is sometimes unavoidable simply due to the temperature of the faucet itself. Running beer through the faucet will drop the temperature, and the foaming will subside, but not without a bit of wasted beer from pouring off excess head. The NukaTap beer faucet drops to beer serving temperature much faster thanks to its lower thermal mass. Simply put, the bulkier the faucet is, the more beer is needed to flow through and chill the tap. The NukaTap is over 20% lighter than its Intertap predecessor, and even lighter still compared to other brands of faucets. Improved Laminar Flow The inspiration for the NukaTap name comes from its uniquely designed "nuke-shaped" shuttle that resides on the inside of the faucet. The NukaShuttle went through numerous rounds of redesigns and countless hours of testing to find a shape that provides superior laminar flow. This means that liquid passes by the shuttle with very little resistance, allowing highly carbonated beers or hard seltzers to pour like a dream. Sanitary Design The NukaShuttle is the world’s first seamless single-piece design. Traditional taps feature an o-ring seated on a stainless steel shuttle, which can cause a couple of issues. After many pours, the stainless shuttle rubbing against the internal body of the faucet will create small fissures that become potential infection sites, and the seated o-ring can be difficult to clean in place, making your draft cleaning and sanitizing process less effective than you realize. The NukaShuttle is an advanced TPV rubber matrix that has been seamlessly formed over a durable PP skeleton. This single-piece design eliminates the pitfalls of older manufacturing methods, making it one of the most sanitary faucets on the market. Forward Sealing vs. Rear Sealing From tap rooms to home bars, forward-sealing faucets are the ideal choice for any draft setup. In traditional rear-sealing taps, beer will drain out of the entire faucet when it's in the closed position. This means the internal mechanism is coated in beer, which then dries and becomes a sticky residue. Forward-sealing faucets, on the other hand, keep the tap full of beer so it never has a chance to dry and gunk up the internal parts. This makes the faucet much easier to clean and also reduces the chance of off flavors transferring to your beer while you pour. 5-10 °L - Simpsons Malt - . Don't let the name fool you, these are not oats "in the raw". You may be used to seeing oats used as an unmalted adjunct, Golden Naked Oats is in fact a huskless crystal malt. With an understated nutty flavor and slight grainy sweetness, this exceptional malt imparts light golden hues to the wort, and increases the body and smooth mouthfeel of the finished beer. The thick, creamy white head this malt contributes is unmistakable. Try Simpsons Golden Naked Oats with any malty or full bodied brew, especially Brown Ales and Stouts.
Crystal malts are gently cooked during the malting process. Cooking initiates the enzymatic conversion of starches into fermentable sugars, and caramelizes some of the sugars as the malt reaches its final color. This eliminates the need to mash crystal malt, and ensures that some of the sugars will survive fermentation to sweeten the beer.

Oak Chips are a fast and economical way to add oak barrel flavor to any beer.
Oak Chips are made from seasoned American and French Oak staves which are chipped down and convection-toasted to create flavors similar to what a comparably toasted barrel would impart. The available toast levels are Medium, Medium +, and Heavy.
It's important to understand that each toasting level creates different flavors in the oak; not a greater intensity of impact in your beer. Don't think of them as weak, normal & strong; they're each a different flavor profile.
Heavy Toast American Oak chips will impart strong flavors of Vanilla & Char, with a small note of Clove. These chips will not impart the coconut flavor often characteristic of lower toast American oaks.
Because of the high surface area, oak chips can extract quickly and care should be taken not to overdo it. Taste your beer frequently after the first week of contact and be ready to rack off the oak chips.
Suggested Dosage is 1-2 oz per 5 gallons.
The counter pressure bottle filler that sets the standard for filling beer bottles at home. With a unique one way valve and adjustable pressure relief you will be bottling sediment free homebrew with ease.
If you currently carbonate and store your homebrew in kegs, you can use a counter pressure filler to bottle beer directly from your kegs. One huge advantage of this method is that since you are bottling already carbonated, clear beer, there will be no sediment at the bottom of your bottles.
Counter pressure bottle filling is how a brewery bottles beer. The bottle is under pressure while the carbonated beer flows in. Because the interior of the bottle is pressurized there is minimal loss of the CO2 in solution. The opposite of filling under pressure is when you pour a beer into a pint glass where CO2 erupts out of solution creating all that foam. Great in your glass but not good when you are trying to bottle carbonated beer. Our counter pressure filler mimics a single filling head on a professional bottling line, a concept that we all know works very, very well.
Made by Fermentap, the design has two unique features. Number 1 it is the only model made entirely from stainless steel. Number 2 you flush and fill from the bottom of the bottle.
Beer barb is 3/16". Gas barb is 5/16".
Features While some models flush the bottle from the top and fill from the bottom, our unit features a special valve that allows CO2 and beer to flow down the same stainless tube, directly to the bottom of the bottle. First CO2 flows down into the bottom of the bottle to flush from the bottom up. Next you switch the valve position and beer flows down the same tube, filling from the bottom up. The result is a more effective purging of oxygen and no foam during the filling process - not to mention that the whole thing takes one-hand to operate! Why hope that you flushed your bottle properly using a type of beer gun, when you can know for sure that you have created the best environment for your beer to be stored at by using a Counter Pressure Bottle Filler?
More Details
The unit is inserted into the bottle in the off position. The valve is then turned to CO2 to flush the bottle and then to beer for filling. The adjustable pressure relief on the side of the unit allows you control the speed of fill by adjusting the pressure in the bottle. The valve is positioned in such a way that it is easy to use with one hand, while the other holds the bottle. This model is designed for 12oz bottles but can easily be extended to accommodate larger bottles, such as 22oz, with a small piece of 1/4" tubing.
Setting Your PSI Pressure
Before you counter pressure fill a bottle make sure you are satisfied with the carbonation level and flavor. The goal for counter pressure bottle filling is to store your beer in the most sanitary and clean environment possible so when you get ready to share your homebrew its presentation is perfect when you go to pour.
An ideal set point to set your PSI level on your regulator is 10-14 psi. This range is dependent upon the temperature of your beer and the carbonation level. We recommend you start at a lower pressure around 10psi for the first 2-3 bottles to make sure you get everything dialed in before committing to filling a whole case.
Make sure your keg is always kept cold. If your keg warms up you will have foaming issues.

If you're hearing ghostly tales whispered around your local homebrew shop, there's no need to pile your brew crew into the hippy van—this one is no mystery. Phantasm Powder has been causing quite a stir on the craft beer scene, and the buzz is well deserved. Adding this powder to your wort and fermenting it with a thiolized yeast strain is one of the easiest ways to boost tropical flavor and aroma in your finished beer. Derived from Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc Grapes, this powder will add a concentrated dose of thiol precursors. During fermentation, yeast will go to work on these aroma compounds and "free the thiol", boosting the tropical bouquet of your beer to supernatural levels. We're stoked to get this cutting-edge ingredient into the hands of homebrewers so we designed a series of Phantasm recipe kits that will set you up to take full advantage of brewing with Phantasm Powder.
Our Phantasm Hazy Pale Ale features a 50/50 split of New Zealand and Pacific Northwest aroma hop additions that lean into a tropical, citrusy character that will pair perfectly with Phantasm Powder. Since this kit series is all about the thiols, we start with whole cone Cascade in the mash to further increase the thiol precursors. Add the Phantasm Powder at flameout along with your whirlpool / hop stand additions. For maximum effect, we highly recommend choosing a thiolized yeast strain for fermentation which are specifically designed to boost thiol biotransformation.

Wine Making
Use Delvozyme (Lysozyme, Lysovin) for controlling lactic acid bacteria growth in your wine. Isolated from egg whites, this enzyme will degrade the cell wall of gram positive bacteria, but will not affect yeast or gram negative bacteria such as Acetobacter. Delvozyme can be used for both Red and White Wine Malo Fermentation.
Dosage:
To Delay Malolactic Fermentation: Red Wine - add to grapes at 100 - 200 ppm, or 0.38 - 0.76 grams per gallon. White Wine - Add to must at 200 - 300 ppm, or 0.76 - 1.14 grams per gallon.
To Block Malolactic Fermentation: White Wine - Add to must or wine at 300 - 500 ppm, or 1.14 - 1.90 grams per gallon.
Stabilizing wine after MLF is complete: Add to barrel during storage at 250 - 500 ppm, or 0.95 - 1.90 grams per gallon.
When blending partial and complete MLF wines: Add immeditatley after blending at 300 - 500 ppm, or 1.14 - 1.90 grams per gallon, to reduce the risk of further malolactic fermentation (MLF). Within several days any lactic should expire.
For sluggish or stuck yeast fermentation: Red Wine - Add at 150 - 400 ppm, or 0.57 - 1.52 grams per gallon. White Wine - add at 300 - 500 ppm, or 1.14 - 1.90 grams per gallon.
Directions for use: You can make a 10% solution of Delvozyme in water (100 grams per liter of water). However we find the easiest method is to add the desired dry weight of Lysovin in 5x its weight of warm(tepid) water. Mix for one minute, allow this mixture to stand for 45 minutes and add to must, juice or wine while mixing well. Allow 24 - 48 hours for reaction to complete.
**Note: 3tsp Delvozyme = 5g
Beer Making
Delvozyme can be used in beer making as well. Use either in the starter (recommended if you make starters) or when pitching (adding) the yeast to the wort, do not use over 140 F. Recommended dosages is 1 tsp per 5 gallons of wort. According to studies it has no effect on flavor or clarity.
Storage: Should be stored at room temperatures in a dry environment, can be stored up to 5 years.

Rahr Red Wheat is a pale malt derived from North American hard spring red wheat. This malt contributes a sweet, malty flavor characteristic of other malted grains, complemented by a subtle fruitiness and a hint of tartness. Its high protein content is known to enhance the body of beers and can improve head formation and retention, depending on the overall grist composition.
The smaller, harder kernels of red wheat compared to white wheat necessitate careful milling. Rahr Red Wheat is a versatile ingredient, suitable for crafting a wide range of wheat-style beers where its unique flavor profile can shine.

Vanilla beans are a great way for the adventurous homebrewer to impart a different and unique flavor to their beers.
These Bourbon Vanilla Beans from Madagascar are fresh, (unlike the dry beans you typically see in grocery stores) and ready to be used in whatever beer you like.
To use, simply slice the bean open lengthwise and add to your Secondary or Keg. Remove when the Vanilla flavor is at the desired strength. 1-2 beans are fine for a slight Vanilla flavor, but some brewers will push the limits and add the third bean. Are you a three-bean-brewer? (This would typically be done in an Oatmeal Stout or a similarly heavy beer.)
Derived from T-90 Krush™ pellet hops to perfectly replicate the aroma profile while omitting undesirable compounds found in hop vegetal matter
Flavor/Aroma: Tropical, Stone Fruit, Dank
The perfect hop: Using 100% hop-derived terpenes, Abstrax builds exact profiles to match the flavor and aroma of an exemplary lot of Citra® hops
Consistent results every time. Eliminates the variance of using hops that may differ by age, crop year, storage conditions, growing region, processing method or farm
Replace pellet hops: 5mL is equal to roughly 5.5 oz of pellet hops, while 1 oz of Quantum is equal to 2 lbs of pellet hops
Krush™ Quantum Brite
If you’ve never had a crush on hops, prepare to fall hard for Krush™. A tropical medley of luscious stone fruit and bright citrus gains new depth with the addition of a robust resinous aroma that’s sensationally dank.
Optimized Hop Extracts
Compared to other hop-extracts, the Quantum Series tastes better, performs better, and is easier to use. It works with everything from Pils to Porters with no special handling required. Easily flowable at cool, ambient, and warm temperatures. Gone are the days of warming up your extract or scrubbing the sticky gunk out of your equipment.
Compared to hops and pellets, the Quantum Series offers a 100% utilization rate and can be used at any stage of the brewing process. It cuts down on shipping and storage costs by an order of magnitude, not to mention the labor savings from not having to lug boxes around.
Quantum Tastes Better
The Quantum Series is an evolutionary leap forward in aroma and brewing technology. When you get down to it, nobody wants to use an extract product that makes their beer taste worse off. Extracts have taken a bad rap because they can often add more problems than they solve and, frankly, they don’t always taste the greatest. Abstrax gets it. That’s why, above all else, flavor and aroma come first with Quantum.
Dosage
Consider 1mL of Quantum Brite the flavor/aroma equivalent of 1 oz of T-90 pellet hops. Add after fermentation is complete, ideally at the coldest and latest point in your process, in your fermenter, keg, or bottling bucket. Or even add a drop or two to spike your finished beer in the glass.
Features:
100% efficient flavor/aroma transfer
Consistent from batch to batch
No yield loss from absorption
Quantum will not affect IBU test results and cannot cause lightstruck off-flavors
Zero Undesirable Plant Compounds
No Lipids
No Chlorophyll
Recommended storage: 40-90°F. Do not freeze.

We think our Counter Pressure Bottle Filler is the best on the market, and the Deluxe Counter Pressure Filler takes a proven design to the next level by adding a pressure gauge for monitoring bottle pressure and flared connections for easy cleaning.
The gauge on this counter pressure bottle filler allows you to know the pressure in your bottle, an incredibly handy feature. The flared connections allow for easy cleaning as you can connect on or disconnect your lines in a matter of seconds. Traditionally these lines can be difficult to sanitize because they were permanently connected with hose clamps.
Still has all the great feature of our original
All Stainless Construction (except for a brass backing on the pressure gauge)
A true Counter Pressure Filler (for less foaming)
Easy to use Stainless 3-way ball valve on top
Adjustable Stainless pressure release on side
Flushes bottle from the bottom not the top
What is a Counter Pressure Filler? If you currently carbonate and store your homebrew in kegs, you can use a counter pressure filler to bottle beer directly from your kegs. One huge advantage of this method is that since you are bottling already carbonated, clear beer, there will be no sediment at the bottom of your bottles.
Counter pressure filling is how a brewery bottles beer.
The BrewBuilt Pressure Pack features a unique floating racking tube that can be used for taking samples, keg transfers, or serving finished beer. This innovative feature draws beer from the top down, which means you’re always pulling the clearest, most sediment-free beer possible. And with the included filter attachment, any floating vegetal matter will be blocked from ever entering the dip tube. Using pressure to draw a sample from the floating dip tube will also eliminate the tiny bit of oxygen that would be injected into your beer every time the traditional sample valve is opened. Pressure transferring from fermenter to keg is the best way to protect your beer from oxygen when it’s at its most vulnerable state. Kegging could be considered the final hurdle in the brewing process, where limiting oxygen exposure is critical. This could mean the difference between your beer tasting great for months or tasting great for a week. Don’t take any chances. Use the Pressure Pack to keg from the top down and leave sediment behind. Installs on the 4" T.C. port welded into the lid of the BrewBuilt X-Series Uni Conical. The 1.5" T.C. port on the pressure lid can be used for adding dry hops, installing the CoolStix™ for temperature control, or attaching a T.C. pressure relief valve during pressure fermentations. The welded hook underneath the pressure lid can be used to hang bagged hops or other additions. If you're interested in fermenting under pressure with the X-Series Uni, we recommend pairing the Pressure Pack with the Pressure Fermentation Kit. 4" T.C. Lid w/ 1.5" T.C. The BrewBuilt Pressure Pack is only designed to be used with BrewBuilt conicals that feature a pressure relief valve built into the lid. Failure to release pressure in the conical before remove fittings or the band clamp could result in injury or death.

Installation note: On a fridge there is generally no coolant lines running through the door but please check to see there are no lines connecting the door and the rest of the refrigerator. To test for coolant lines on a freezer start with a warm freezer then plug the unit in with the lid open. You should be able to see the lines form condensation on the inside of the freezer where there are lines running. Please still use caution when drilling.
