Build your own walk-in cooler with a standard A/C unit from any hardware or appliance store!
The CoolBot enables A/C units to cool below their standard setting of 60°F, allowing you to use them as a low-cost refrigeration alternative
Installs quickly with no tools or electrical know-how required—see the videos below!
Perfect for turning rooms or storage sheds into a fermentation locker, keg room, wine cellar, food larder, and More!
A CoolBot allows a standard air conditioner to cool a room or space down to 35 degrees F. Installs with no tools or electrical knowledge required.
Standard A/C units available from any hardware or appliance store have lots of power but they are electronically limited so that they cannot go below 60 degrees F. This is because they would freeze up. Commercial refrigeration for walk in coolers combat freeze with increased surface area on the fins as well as fans. Instead the Cool bot technology uses multiple sensors, a heating element and programmed micro-controller to control your air conditioner in such a way that the unit can go below 60F and not freeze up. The Coolbot cannot give you 100% of the btus listed on your air conditioner nor is suitable for large brewery or winery walk ins. It is perfect for wine cellars, beer storage, fermentation, etc.
Easy to install within 30 minutes with no tools or electrical knowleged required. While we can't tell you exactly what size space you can cool because of ambient temperatures and insulation factors, we recommend you google Coolbot. They have sold over 50,000 of these so there are lots of reviews and actual installs out there. We offer free shipping on this unit, ship fast from both coasts, and have great customer service.
This type of system is also very efficient. Most commercial systems are power hogs with large fans that are always running. Residential A/C units are made for efficiency. The Coolbot will also shut down the compressor for short time when the unit is running at its highest level of inneficiency, as it nears freeze up.
Dims of the CoolBot are 6.5x3.5x1.5 in.

This carboy thermowell is used in conjunction with a Digital Controller to more accurately regulate internal temperature during fermentation. It is exceptionally useful during the start of fermentation when the lag between ambient temperature in the refrigerator and actual temperature in the carboy can vary greatly. Now you can keep your beer or wine within one degree of the set point on your digital controller.
Designed to fit either 3, 5, 6, or 6.5 gallon glass carboys or any other similarly sized opening hole. The unit comes with a 15" stainless steel thermowell and a #6.5 stopper.
The stopper has two holes measuring 3/8" and 1/4". Measures 14" from the bottom of the stopper to the end of the thermowell.
Will not work with Johnson Temperature Controllers (FE600 or FE609) because the probes are too large.
The IceMaster 100 is a powerful and efficient glycol system that provides precise temperature control of multiple Fermenters, but allows you to expand your capacity as needed!
Temp Control & Cold Crash up to 4 - 5-7 Gallon Jacketed Tanks!
Tank Capacity: 30L/8 Gal. Water Capacity
Cooling Capacity: 780 Watt/2600btu/0.26 ton
Power: 110V (3.6 amps)
The IceMaster 100 is designed to cool fermentations in small vessels. It can be used with any vessel that has a glycol jacket or submersed cooling coil/rod. For each vessel you want to cool you will need to buy one of our BrewBuilt Chilling Pump Kits. Each tank is able to be separately temperature controlled. Each Glycol Pump Kit includes a submersible pump that is placed in the cool bath of this chiller along with a digital controller. The digital controller includes a thermal probe that should be inserted into a thermal well in your vessel or can be taped to the outside of the vessel if you don't have a thermal well. The digital controller then measures the temperature of your tank and turns the submersible pump on or off to cool to your desired set temperature. Up to four tanks can be controlled separately with one IceMaster and four BrewBuilt Chilling Pump Kit (GLY355).
Compatibility
The IceMaster can be used with any fermenter that has a built in cooling jacket, added Coolstix, or a submersed cooling coil. It works well as the cooling source for the following sytems and fermenters.
BrewBuilt Jacketed Uni Conical - You will need one Glycol Pump Kit for each tank.
Coolstix - Coolstix can be added to a wide range of carboys, fermenters, and tanks and the IceMaster works really well in combination. Each Coostix Complete Kit comes with a pump kit and controller.
Ss Brewtech Fermenters and Brites with optional FTS Temperature Control Systems - Because FTS systems include a pump and controller you will not need to buy a separate Glycol Pump Kit.
Spike Conical with Optional Cooling Package - Because the optional Spike cooling system includes a pump and controller you will not need to buy a separate Glycol Pump Kit.
Speidel Tanks with Optional Cooling Jackets - You will need one Glycol Pump Kit for each tank.
Grainfather Fermenters - Grainfather fermenters have standard cooling jackets. You will need one Glycol Pump Kit for each fermenter
Blichmann Fermenators with Optional Cooling Coil - You will need one Glycol Pump Kit for each Fermenator.
Capacity
It is always difficult to determine exactly how many tanks can be chilled at one time as it depends on what is happening in each tank, if the tank is insulated, and what the ambient temperature is. Cold crashing always requires the most energy and requires tank insulation. We have experimented with capacities and can provide this general guide based on a 75°F ambient and neoprene insulation. Neoprene a modest amount of insulation so you would obtain better results using Armaflex or a higher R rated insulation. If only controlling fermentation temps the capacity would be higher. Four BrewBuilt Chilling Pump Kits (GLY355) is the maximum that will fit in the IceMaster. We are working on smaller glycol pump kits, where the pumps have smaller footprints, so the IceMaster right now has the capacity to use 5 pumps through the bulkhead fittings.
Capacity calculated at cold crashing to 38°F at 75°F ambient with neoprene insulation (double for fermentation temperature control):
2 - 1BBL (31 Gallon) Jacketed Tanks
2 - 1/2BBL (15-20 Gallon) Tanks
3 - 10-14 Gallon Tanks
4 - 5-7 Gallon Tanks
Set Up
In order to hook up the IceMaster to your fermenter or tank's cooling system, you will need 4 lengths of tubing. All tubing connections should be secured with hose clamps.
Length 1: Submersible pump outlet to inner barb of 1st bulkhead
Length 2: Outer barb of 1st bulkhead to cooling system inlet
Length 3: Cooling system outlet to outer barb of 2nd bulkhead
Length 4: Inner barb of 2nd bulkhead to IceMaster resevoir (should drain freely, no connection necessary)

This 30W Heating Belt will gently warm your fermenter without creating major hot spots. Heating belts are often chosen over heating pads for the simplicity of adjusting the height of the belt on your fermenter to increase or decrease the heat transfer. And they're especially useful for smaller vessels where a heating pad would be simply too large.
For the best results, pair the Heating Belt with a temperature controller so that heating is only provided when your fermentation drops below your set point. If you're using a fermentation chamber or other form of chilling, the temperature controller will be able to switch between heating and cooling as needed.
Comes with a standard 2-prong US style 110V plug. Please disregard the example photo that shows an AU style plug.
KegLand Part Number: KL01953
The Johnson digital temperature controller is used to control the temperature of a refrigerator, or similar cooling or heating device. Enter your desired temperature, called set point, and how tightly you want your temperature maintained, called differential, and let the controller do the rest.
Ranco Vrs. Johnson
This Johnson digital temperature controller is very similar to our popular Ranco brand controller (FE610) in application and appearance. The advantage of the Ranco is being able to switch between cooling and and heating from the digital interface, while with the Johnson you have to take the cover off and physically remove a jumper. The advantage of the Johnson is the very attractive price.
For technical aficionados the Johnson does have a feature called Anti-Short Cycle Delay. Cycling is the rapid turning off and on of an electrical device. Over time cycling can harm your appliance. The Johnson controller allows you to set a time interval, in minutes, that keeps the controller from turning on right after it shuts off no matter what the temperature reading is. This can be very useful when you are using a 1 degree of differential setting for tight control but want your compressor or power supply to have a minimum time period of rest before it turns back on. Temperature Range of -40 to 212F.
The most robust controller we offer and a perfect compliment to the technically savvy brewer. This is the only controller we offer that allows for up to 12 steps. This can be incredibly handy for raising fermentation temperatures for diacetyl rests and also for cold crashing. You can also use it with electric mashtuns and pumps to do step mashes. The high and low temp alarms are also handy, as is the ability to use with a distillation column.
Key features
Dual input for Control of heating and cooling devices simultaneously
Program up to 12 steps (unique to this controller) - which allows for advanced fermentation control and even mashtun control if you used for mash.
F or C
Can be used with electric distilling column
Adjustable differential
Adjustable differential between start of cooling and heating
High and low temperature alarms
Kegland Part number: KL01946
Use this analog unit to control the temperature of a refrigerator, freezer, or air conditioner. It enables you to ferment and store beer at correct temperatures when the ambient room temperature is too warm.
Your electrical cooling device plugs into this unit which plugs into the outlet. A remote sensor connected by a small capillary tube monitors temperatures. If the temperature rises above your set point, the cooling device is turned on.
The unit features a 4 degree swing to help extend the life of the cooling unit's compressor. For example, if you had it set at 68 degrees, it would turn on at 68 degrees and go to 64 degrees before turning off. The unit has the potential to regulate temperature from 20 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
The sensor tube can be inserted into a refrigerator or freezer, and still allows the door gasket to seal tight. Temperature Range of 20 to 80F.
This Johnson unit can handle 15 amps or 1725 watts at 115 volts AC.
In case yours got too close to the flame on your brewing system. Probes can also be damaged by kinking which will cause a controller to give an inaccurate, high, reading. This is a replacement wire and thermistor for our line of Ranco controllers. The sensor probe is 1/4 in diameter and works well with the Stopper or Coupler Thermowells. Temperature Range of -30 to 220F. 8 ft. long.
Probes are water-resistant, but not water proof.
Use your existing glycol system to cool your cellar
Eliminates the need to purchase an entirely separate refrigeration system
MR series fan units offer quieter operation compared to the SD-S units
Sized for well-insulated rooms up to 1,750 ft³
Made in Germany by Kreyer
Cool your cellar using your existing glycol system. Save energy and money! These units work under the same principles as standard refrigeration but use cooled glycol that you already have instead of cooled refrigerant gas, eliminating the need to have a separate refrigeration system. It is a fantastic use of your glycol system for a majority of the year when typically glycol systems are on but are being sporadically called upon. Glycol systems do need to be sized to accommodate both these fan units and peak duty during the crush to be able to accommodate all tasks at once.
Glycol from your main glycol chiller is recirculated through these fan units. Aluminum fins act as heat exchangers drawing heat out of your room as the fins are cooled by the glycol. If you have a Kreyer chiller/heater you can even heat a space in cold weather environments.
The heat exchangers inside the units are made from corrugated aluminum fins and internally grooved copper tubes. The white ABS casing looks great. Because of its rounded corners it has no water retaining areas favorable to germ development. Units are outfitted with stainless steel screws and show no sharp, cutting edges.
The MR series is quieter than the SD series but not as robust in construction.
Fan Unit Temp Control Upgrades:
1/2 in. Solenoid Valve - Allows or blocks flow of glycol through the fan unit. Needs to be connected to a Controller to function. A filter is recommended to protect the solenoid.
1/2 in. Solenoid Filter - protects the solenoid valve from any particulate or sediment.
Glycol Fan Control Unit - Set a specific temperature on this controller and it will open and close the solenoid valve.
Solenoid Connection Cable - This 2 meter long cable is required to connect the Solenoid Valve & Control unit.
Specifications of MR75:
Will cool well insulated spaces up to 1750 cubic feet while drawing 1/3 Ton of cooling power
Single Fan Unit (pictured is 3 fan unit)
220V connection required to run fan
You will need to connect to your existing glycol system

Use this Solenoid valve to control glycol flow into a fan unit. These Solenoids should be combined with a Fan Temperature Controller and Connection Cable to set a specific temperature for your fan unit to achieve in your room.
This is a 1/2 in. FPT threaded piece for MR210 Fan Units. It can also be used with MR75 & 135 units with a 3/8" barb adapter.
We recommend purchasing a Solenoid Filter with this valve. The filter will ensure that no small particulates can get caught in the valve assembly, potentially damaging the unit.

The Temperature Tamer hangs from the side of a bin or tank and has a built-in temperature controller that monitors the temperature and controls a solenoid valve, allowing coolant or heated water to enter a snake, plate or jacket to maintain your ideal temperature. Theoretically you could be maintaining the temperature of a red wine ferment at 77F in one tank while you cold stabilized a white wine at 30F in the next.
The built-in Ranco controller allows for heating or cooling, has a temperature range of -30 to 220F, and will maintain the temperature in a ferment or tank within one degree of your set point. The controller opens and closes the built in electronic solenoid valve to start or stop the flow of coolant.
The included thermal sensor can be placed into a thermowell mounted onto a tank or a floating thermowell used with a Macrobin. The unit comes equipped with 1/2" barb outlets for the glycol system, however you can remove those and attach anything you'd like to the 1/2" FPT behind them. We generally like to use Quick Disconnects in these systems, please contact us if you need assistance setting this up properly.
An example set-up for cooling macro bins: Using one of our glycol systems run an outgoing and incoming loop of 1/2" line that is always recirculating cold glycol. Wherever you have a bin that needs cooling, tee your Temperature Tamer input into the line coming from your chiller, connect a hose from the Tamer's outlet to the inlet side of your cooling plate, and tee a hose from the cooling plate's outlet into the return line going back to the chiller.
Cool your fermenting must or wine using this weldless, easy-to-install, 304 stainless steel cooling plate that can be inserted into the lid of any Variable Volume Fermenter. Cold water or glycol is recirculated through the cooling plates thereby reducing the temperature of your ferment.
This is a stainless steel setup, ensuring no chance of off-flavor in your wine. You drill two 1-1/16" to 1-1/8" holes into the lid. We provide two gaskets and a lock nut to seal on both sides of your lid, securing the plate in place.
Plate measures 24" H x 10.6" W
Inlet and Outlet 1/2" Male BSPP thread

The heat exchangers inside the units are made from corrugated aluminum fins and internally grooved copper tubes. The white ABS casing looks great. Because of its rounded corners it has no water retaining areas favorable to germ development. Units are outfitted with stainless steel screws and show no sharp, cutting edges.

Cool your fermenting must or wine using this weldless, easy-to-install, 304 stainless steel cooling plate that can be inserted into the lid of any Variable Volume Fermenter. Cold water or glycol is recirculated through the cooling plates thereby reducing the temperature of your ferment.
By threading our thermowell (FE616) into the extra 1/2" female coupler that comes on every MoreWine Variable Volume Fermenter and inserting the probe from our digital controller (FE610) you can use a digital controller to automatically control temperature. The controller turns a pump on every time the temperature rises above your set-point, sending coolant through the plate.
To build these units we take the stock cooling plates and slide, bored-out, male-threaded couplers half-way down the feed tubes and weld them in place. You drill two 1 1/16 to 1 1/8" holes into the lid. We provide two gaskets and nuts that thread on both sides of the couplers securing the plate in place.

Defrost Kits are electric heating elements made of a set of thin metallic heating rods that are fitted into the suitable slots, under the coil of the thermo-fan. This layout simplifies the installation and guarantees homogenous dispersion of heat over the entire coil for even defrosting. The Defrost Kit melts the iced condensate, which accumulates on the airways when the fan is used for room cooling with Glycol-water set below the freezing point. Periodical defrosting enables the use of the thermo-fan for setting up cold-rooms, which are kept at low temperatures. The melted condense water drips to the fan's collection tray for drainage.
When using a Defrost Kit, it is required to use the FermFlex-Defrost controller, which controls both the fan-valve for cooling and the heating element for defrosting.
Cold stabilization in one barrel or control fermentation temperatures in a 100L tank. With an overall length of 20 in. this little snake can be used to control temperatures in any small batch.
You will need a glycol system or at least a cold or hot water source to connect to the snake.
How it works: This tube-within-a-tube snake is used to recirculate glycol or cooled/heated water through your wine to regulated temperatures. The inner vinyl tube runs through the middle of the corrugated stainless tubing, but is shorter than the stainless tubing. Glycol can run through one tube and back through the other, completing the loop.
Use our custom made Snake Bung to make an air tight seal. Slides over the snake and seals it to the barrel or the traditional air lock hole in a variable volume lid (provided the hole is approximately 1 3/4 in. in diameter.) Or punch a 1 3/4in. hole in any tank or lid.
Snakes are outfitted with 1/2in. male NPT threads on both the inlet and outlet. The inlet is at 90 degrees and the outlet is straight.
