If you like serving out of commercial kegs but prefer the ease of using ball lock fittings in your draft system, this adapter is for you. Instead of buying additional keg couplers and beer thread to ball lock adapters, you can use this tapping head to go straight from sanke keg to ball lock. To install, remove the keg spear, place the gasket on the keg ferrule with the beaded side facing up, attach the silicone dip tube and place the tapping head on the ferrule, then secure with the 2" tri-clamp. Be sure to always depressurize the keg before removing the tapping head. This tailpiece is a replacement for the gas-in barb that comes mounted on our D1505 Sanke Tap. It will not work as a 5/16" beer line connection due to the lip on the back side of the fitting.   Tailpieces are fittings which connect beer and gas tubing to the different parts of a draft system. One side of the tailpiece features a barb to connect the tubing to, and the other side is held against the tap or faucet shank with collar nut.   Tailpieces are available in a range of barb sizes to fit up to your tubing size.
