Comes with a back nut, plastic collar, hex nut, and a 1/4" barb. Requires a 1" hole saw for installation. When set in place, the shank will only have about 4-1/2" of length to pass through your wall or fridge door, due to the length of the collar and back nut. Installation note: On a fridge there is generally no coolant lines running through the door but please check to see there are no lines connecting the door and the rest of the refrigerator. To test for coolant lines on a freezer start with a warm freezer then plug the unit in with the lid open. Beer Faucet Shank | Pass Through | Stainless | 3"
You can use pass through shanks for beer entry through the back side of a cooler. Drill a 1" hole through the cooler, insert the shank, and use the two attached nuts to tighten up on the cooler. You will need nuts and nipples of the size line you are working with as well as hose clamps. We do not use pass through shanks in our boxes because we drill a hole that is same size as the line so we can pull it back in when we are traveling. However there might be instances where they would be appropriate. Pass through shanks can also be used to put through the side of a refrigerator to pass a gas line through. The KegLand Aluminum Cast Cold Plate features an impressive thermal mass with excellent heat absorption characteristics. High conductivity aluminum alloy aids the heat transfer as your beverage travels through the internal stainless steel lines. Inlets and outlets come with standard 1/4" male flare thread so you can easily attach swivel nuts and barbs or Duotight adapters. If you're making a jockey box for backyard cookouts, tailgaters, or camping trips, we highly recommend cold plates over draft coils. Cooling plates are perfect in low volume applications where space is an issue, and the low-profile design leaves plenty of room to store other food or beverages. If you're looking to serve beer at a festival or wedding where the beer might be constantly flowing, we would recommend stainless coils like those featured in the KOMOS Draft Box. This Mini CO2 regulator uses 74g cartridges for convenient mobile draft dispensing Dial in your ideal serving pressure just as you would with your standard regulator A portable mini-regulator with all the features of a full sized regulator! The regulator has a range of .5-1.5 bars (7-21 psi). The KOMOS DraftMaster is a perfect solution for small beer-serving establishments. This is very unique, dual purpose glycol beer chiller, with the ability to chill a trunk line while also being able to cool 4 additional unfrigerated beers inline. It features 4 built-in stainless steel draft coils that remain submersed in a glycol solution reservoir, as well as a dedicated submersible draft line pump that can be used to pump glycol solution through flooded draft towers or other draft line chilling apparatuses. The draft coils are made from 8 mm OD stainless steel tubing. The inlets and outlets come ready for use with 8 mm Duotight fittings, or standard hose clamp / compression fittings if preferred. The temperature drop of the beverage after one pass through the coil will depend on several factors, such as the temp of the pre-chilled beer, reservoir solution, and ambient environment. Ideally, the DraftMaster should be used in ambient temperatures below 80°F with a 30% glycol solution. If operating the unit in hotter climates or with a non-glycol cooling solution, if you are using the inline chilling coils you may need to pass the beverage through two coils to lower it to serving temperature. Although the DraftMaster is ideally used with propylene glycol to lower the cooling solution below 32°F, home users may find it works perfectly well with 100% distilled/RO water. We recommend leaving the reservoir temperature at or above 38°F when using water only, which will work well for cooling a single KOMOS Cobra tower or other glycol-ready draft tower. New Innovative Shank Design Unlike other shank kits, this kit doesn't use a bulky 5/8" threaded shank. The issue with a standard draft shank is that acts as a heat sink, and due to the fact that most shanks sit inside an insulated wall, this results in a substantial amount of warm beer coming out of the tap before cold beer starts flowing. This results in substantial "first pour foam" effect which wastes beer, can result in sour beer, and ultimately negatively effects the quality of the beverages being served. This new design has the beer line feed all the way directly up to the back of the faucet, greatly reducing the volume of non-refrigerated beer. No Spinning Shanks If you have ever installed a traditional 5/8" long shank, you will know how frustrating it is when you use the faucet and it starts rotating. This new design of shank alternative uses three screws that lock the tap into a fixed position and prevents the taps from rotating. If you loosen the 1/2" stainless tap collet you can still have the flexibility to rotate the faucet to any orientation, but once the collet is tight, interlocking teeth on this shank kit and the NukaTap Mini will hold the tap permanently in the correct orientation. Easy Installation Another advantage compared to standard shanks is that this kit doesn't require you to drill a large 3/4"-1" hole through the wall. As no shank is required, only a hole large enough to accommodate the beer line is required. As a result, an 8mm (5/16") conventional drill bit is all that is necessary for installation. However, if you are concerned about the small amount of beer sitting in the draft line inside the wall not being refrigerated, you can also shell out a larger diameter of foam on the inside of the wall to allow cold air to circulate around the beer line thus reducing the non-refrigerated beer in the line even more. If you wanted to do this the Step Drill Bit is the best tool for the job. Any Wall Thickness Other shank kits will require you to purchase a specific length shank for a specific wall thickness. This new shank alternative will fit any wall thickness. If you have wall thicknesses that are less than 2.7" thick then you can use the included screws that have "snap off" points so you can simply cut the screws down to the desired length. However, if the wall is thicker than 2.7" you can simply purchase a conventional screw from the hardware store and screw the shank kit to your wall. If the substrate is firm enough you may not even need to go all the way through the wall so a common 1-1/4" long screw may be all that is required. Comes with a welded 5/16" nipple, back nut, and plastic collar. It requires a 1" hole for installation. When set in place, the shank will only have about 1-1/4" of length to pass through your wall or fridge door, due to the length of the collar and back nut. Installation note: On a fridge there is generally no coolant lines running through the door but please check to see there are no lines connecting the door and the rest of the refrigerator. To test for coolant lines on a freezer start with a warm freezer then plug the unit in with the lid open.
