Bottle Sealing Wax is a sealing wax for any type of wine, liquor or bottled liquid. In all applications, Bottle Sealing Wax provides a tough, moisture resistant coating, which preserves freshness, flavor and fragrance. Bottle Sealing Wax adheres on both natural and synthetic corks. It provides tamper evident protection for your product. Bottle Sealing Wax can be applied by capping the top of the recessed cork or by dipping the corked bottle into the wax. Wax beads are easier to measure and melt than wax blocks.
Sold in 1 pound bags and 50 pound boxes. 1 pound will cover approximately 30 bottles, depending on usage.
DIPPING INSTRUCTIONS: The wax should be melted in a double boiled or crock pot. Maintain wax temperature at 180°F to 190°F. The ideal temperature may vary, depending on ambient temperature and humidity as well as the temperature of the bottle and cork.
Invert the bottle and carefully lower the cork end into the melted wax to the desired depth. Leave the top immersed for 10 to 15 seconds. Carefully lift bottle straight up and allow the excess wax to run off the inverted bottle top. When excess wax slows or stops, turn bottle upright and allow to cool.

Inspired by Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout®, this kit combines our All Out Brunch Stout recipe with an addition of bourbon-soaked oak chips
Includes Nugget and Willamette hops
Estimated ABV: 7.5%
Estimated IBUs: 60
Makes 5 gallons of finished beer
Bourbon Belle takes the beautifully complex flavor of Brunch Stout and adds a charming southern drawl. Similar to "All Out", this recipe combines a variety of dark malts, cacao nibs, and ground coffee for a remarakably rich flavor profile, and then adds a little giddy-up with an addition of bourbon-soaked oak chips. The oak chips are added to simulate the barrel-aging process used for making Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout®, or "KBS". You wouldn't expect a foal to win the Triple-Crown, so practice patience when brewing Bourbon Belle. We recommend a conditioning period of 2 to 6 months to allow this beer to fully mature before entering the race.
Please note: this recipe calls for 2 oz of Kona and Sumatra coffee grounds and 1 cup of Kentucky Bourbon, which are not included in the kit.
Makes 5 gallons
Estimated Original Gravity: 1.078
SRM (Color Range): 40+
IBUs: 60

Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME)
MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

Quick Disconnects are a favorite among homebrewers for their ability to quickly move from one configuration to another. With the Brass Quick Disconnect Set you can easily connect and disconnect your water line to various equipment. These QD's must be placed in a configuration where water is always exiting the female portion of the QD and entering the male portion of the QD. For example the Female threads x Female QD portion is placed on the end of the hose while the Male QD portion is connected to your equipment. This set includes one Male GHT (Garden Hose Thread) x Male QD and one Female GHT x Female QD. We sell several adapter pieces that allow you convert GHT to male or female 1/2 inch pipe thread or 1/2 inch hose barb, making it a snap mount these QDs on just about any piece in your brewery. Please Note: This product will NOT work with our Stainless Steel or Plastic Quick Disconnects.
Brass reducing bush. 1/2" BSPP x 3/4" BSPP.
BSP vs. BSPP
BSP (or BSPT) fittings have a tapered thread and require teflon tape to form a seal between the male and female fitting. BSP fittings are generally intended to be used with their counterpart of the same thread type. ONLY 1/2" BSP fittings are compatible with US-standard NPT fittings of the same size. BSPP fittings, on the other hand, have a straight thread, require a gasket seated inside the female fitting to form a seal, and are not compatible with NPT.
