  • Ultralight Malt Extract - PLACEHOLDER Ultralight Malt Extract - PLACEHOLDER

Ultralight Malt Extract | LME | Liquid Malt Extract

    50 reviews

Ultralight is perfect for brewing extract beers when you want to have the lightest color possible A reliable base malt extract for brewing any beer style Can be used as 100% of your fermentable sugar in extract brewing Add for color correction, boost gravity, or improve head retention in all grain brewing Ultralight is one the lightest Malt Extract available anywhere and has a great malty, grain flavor. The color is so light because it is made from 100% 2-row base malt. Our manufacturer also uses a minimum amount of heat, and a slower evaporation to reduce the carmelization found in most other extracts. This extract is mashed around 152 degrees which results in beers with great malt flavor yet good fermentability.  We use it in a majority of our Recipe Kits.  It is unbeatable for light colored Pale Ales and amazing in IPA's where it lets the hops become the focus.  If you are making a darker beer you can simply steep darker specialty grains to obtain the flavor and color you are looking for. Packaged in a special metallic, oxygen barrier bag that unlike plastic jugs does not allow any oxidation to occur. Does fresh extract make a difference? Decide for yourself! We recommend customers store their extract in the refrigerator if they do not plan on using it within 8 weeks.

  • Adjunct - Vanilla Beans - PLACEHOLDER

    Vanilla Beans

    26 reviews

Vanilla beans are a great way for the adventurous homebrewer to impart a different and unique flavor to their beers.   These Bourbon Vanilla Beans from Madagascar are fresh, (unlike the dry beans you typically see in grocery stores) and ready to be used in whatever beer you like.   To use, simply slice the bean open lengthwise and add to your Secondary or Keg. Remove when the Vanilla flavor is at the desired strength. 1-2 beans are fine for a slight Vanilla flavor, but some brewers will push the limits and add the third bean. Are you a three-bean-brewer? (This would typically be done in an Oatmeal Stout or a similarly heavy beer.)

Vienna Lager by John Palmer | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

    4 reviews

Our Signature Series kits offer a selection of crazy, unique beers developed by MoreBeer! customers, associates, and homebrewing legends! A smooth, copper lager that strikes the perfect balance between a toasty sweet malt body and the noble overtures of the hops Includes Saaz and Northern Brewer hops Estimated ABV: 5% Estimated IBUs: 32-36 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer We have been a fan of John Palmer ever since his book, "How to Brew" hit our shelves way back when. After meeting him at a few gatherings here and there, and after recommending his book hands down over any other, we decided to try and add John to our Signature Series line-up. When he agreed, we knew we would get something special from him, and he did not disappoint. John describes his kit as: "a smooth, copper lager that strikes the perfect balance between a toasty sweet malt body and the noble overtures of the hops. This interpretation of the Vienna style has more hop flavor dancing around the edges than the current BJCP guidelines specify, but the hop profile really complements the rich malt palate for a lively complexity that you don't get from the hoppier Bohemian Pilsener or maltier Oktoberfest styles, and is richer and smoother than Dortmunder Export." This beer will not dissapoint! Thanks, John, for the kit, the book, and the advice! John recommends White Labs WLP833 for a dried beer, and WLP820 for a maltier version. Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity: 1.049-52 SRM (Color Range: 11 IBUs: 32-36 Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 5%     Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

    Vienna Malt - Viking Malt

3.2-4.3 ° L - Viking Malt  - Viking Vienna Malt is cured at slightly higher temperatures than pilsner malt. Consequently Vienna Malt gives a golden colored beer and increases body and fullness. Due to the higher curing temperature, the enzyme activity of Vienna Malt is slightly lower than that of pilsner malt. Flavor of Vienna Malt is subtle, including maltiness, some sweetness and hints of caramel aromas. Slightly nutty sensations can also be found. Vienna Malt is well suited for relatively pale colored beers. Typical application is to enhance color and aroma of light beers. Vienna also has its own beer type, Vienna lager, which is famous for its deep golden color and malty taste. In 2016 Viking Malt and Danish Malting Group joined forces to better serve their customers. Now the new Viking Malt is the leading malting company in Northern Europe and supply raw materials and services to the global brewing, distilling and food industries. Viking Malt has 6 malthouses in areas where our distinctive Nordic barley is sourced: in Halmstad, Sweden; Vordingborg, Denmark; Lahti, Finland; Panevezys, Lithuania and in Sierpc and Strzegom, Poland. VIN13 | Dry Wine Yeast

VIN13 is the go-to choice for winemakers seeking to produce fresh, aromatic white wines and vibrant rosés with expressive fruit character Whether crafting a tropical Sauvignon Blanc, a crisp Pinot Grigio, or a sparkling wine with clean fruit expression, VIN13 delivers unmatched clarity and aromatic intensity Elevate aromatic whites and Rosés with intense tropical expression VIN13 is a robust hybrid yeast strain developed by the Institute for Wine Biotechnology at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. Renowned for its ability to enhance volatile thiol and ester production, VIN13 is ideal for crafting aromatic white and rosé wines with vibrant tropical and citrus profiles. Its strong fermentation kinetics and low nutrient requirements make it suitable for challenging winemaking conditions and musts lacking aromatic complexity. Aromatic Enhancement: Releases high levels of volatile thiols (passion fruit, guava, gooseberry, grapefruit) and esters (pineapple, banana, floral) for intense fruit-forward wines. Fermentation Performance: Fast fermenter with low volatile acidity (<0.3 g/L) and minimal SO₂ production, ensuring clean, crisp wines. Alcohol Tolerance: Effective up to 17% ABV, allowing complete fermentation in high-sugar musts. Temperature Range: Optimal performance between 54°F (12°C) and 61°F (16°C); cold fermentation is advised to preserve aromatics. Low Nutrient Requirement: Performs well in musts with limited nitrogen availability. Killer Factor: Positive, providing competitive advantage over wild yeast strains. Applications: Aromatic White Wines: Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Muscat, Albariño. Rosé Wines: Enhances berry and citrus notes, contributing to a fresh, lively profile. Sparkling Wines: Suitable for Charmat and Traditional Method sparkling wines, ensuring clean, crisp aromatics. Fruit Wines and Ciders: Ideal for apple, pear, and tropical fruit wines, delivering expressive aromatics. Flavor Profile:  Tropical Fruits: Prominent expressions of passion fruit, guava, pineapple, and banana. Citrus & Floral Notes: Highlights of grapefruit, lemon zest, and floral undertones. Bright Acidity: Maintains crisp, clean acidity for a refreshing finish. Pure Fruit Expression: Low volatile acidity keeps the fruit character vivid and fresh. Usage: Rehydration: Rehydrate in 10 times its weight of chlorine-free water at 95°F (35°C) for 15–20 minutes. Stir gently to prevent clumping. Pitch Rate: Use 1–1.5 grams per gallon (0.25–0.4 grams per liter) for optimal fermentation and flavor development. Nutrient Addition: Supplement with yeast nutrient to enhance fermentation strength, particularly in low-nitrogen musts. Fermentation Temperature: Maintain between 54°F and 61°F to optimize ester production and aromatic clarity. Cold Fermentation: Ideal for cool fermentation to preserve fresh aromatics and bright acidity.

  • VINKA - Amaretto Sour Cocktail Mixer - 50 mL VINKA - Amaretto Sour Cocktail Mixer - 50 mL

VINKA | Amaretto Sour Cocktail Mixer

One sachet makes: Approximately two 6 oz cocktails. Easy to make: In a shaker, mix 1 packet with 5 oz vodka, 3.5 oz cold water, and sugar. Portable and easy: Mix, shake, and pour at home or on the go. Fast and consistent: Measure, mix, shake, and pour—no fresh fruit or flavored syrups required. Simple and cost effective: Contains amazing natural flavors. Use vodka, with no expensive spirits, bitters, or other specialty ingredients required. Works great in a slushy machine: Use 5 packs to make a frozen Amaretto Sour batch in a 2 L slushy machine. The Amaretto Sour took the classic “sour” template and wrapped it around almond and stone-fruit character—sweet, tart, and a little dessert-like without turning into a full-on sugar bomb. It’s one of those drinks that looks simple on paper but can be fussy to balance in practice. VINKA starts with real ingredients and uses a proprietary extraction method to capture the aroma and flavor in a concentrated mixer. Pair it with a simple, easy-to-make base of neutral spirit, water, and sugar, add ice, shake, and you’re pouring an Amaretto Sour-style cocktail in minutes—no amaretto bottle, no citrus squeezing, no egg whites, no extra prep. In the glass, it shows classic Amaretto Sour character: sweet almond and marzipan notes on the nose, a bright citrus lift, and soft stone-fruit tones underneath. On the palate, it opens with rounded sweetness, pulls into a clean, citrus-driven tang, and finishes smooth and dessert-like without feeling heavy. Each sachet mix yields about 10.1 fl oz before ice; after shaking with ice, the finished pour is typically around 12–13 fl oz, depending on how much ice melts. Fast & Consistent: Measure, mix, shake, pour—no amaretto or lemon juggling required. Yield: ~10.1 fl oz pre-ice; typically ~12–13 fl oz after shaking (ice melt varies). Serve-ready: Just garnish with citrus and a cherry if you want the full sour ritual. Flavor Almond and marzipan, soft stone fruit, bright citrus, balanced sweetness, and a smooth, dessert-like finish. What You’ll Need For Standard Preparation: 80-proof (40% ABV) vodka or neutral spirit, cold water, granulated sugar, ice, shaker. For Slushy Preparation: 5x VINKA Amaretto Sour Cocktail Mixer sachets, a 2L-capacity slushy machine, 80-proof (40% ABV) vodka or neutral spirit, cold water, granulated sugar. Directions (per 1 sachet) —  Use 80-proof (40% ABV) vodka or neutral spirit. In a shaker or bottle, add 5 fl oz vodka/neutral spirit + 3.5 fl oz cold water. Add 4 Tbsp granulated sugar. Shake or stir without ice to dissolve. (Sweetness: add a little more or a little less sugar to suit your taste.) Add the entire sachet and about 1 cup of ice (a generous handful). Shake 10–15 seconds, then pour and serve. Note: Ice melt will dilute the drink a bit (that’s normal and intended). Slushy Directions (2L batch) Use 80-proof (40% ABV) vodka or neutral spirit. Add 14 fl oz vodka/neutral spirit to the slushy machine. Add all 5 VINKA Amaretto Sour Cocktail Mixer sachets. Add about 45 fl oz cold water. Add 1½ cups granulated sugar (24 Tbsp). Mix/recirculate to dissolve. Top with cold water to the 2L / MAX fill line, then run the machine until slushy and serve. Note: Frozen-drink texture can vary by machine and settings. If it freezes too firm, let it run a bit longer to soften; if it’s too loose, keep chilling until it tightens up. VINKA starts with real ingredients and uses a proprietary extraction method to capture the aroma and flavor in a concentrated mixer. Pair it with a simple, easy-to-make base of neutral spirit, water, and sugar, add ice, shake, and you’re pouring an Aperitivo Spritz–style cocktail in minutes no amaro lineup, no open bottles of vermouth, no extra prep. The texture is light and spritzy on the palate when served over ice, with enough body to feel like a proper aperitivo while still drinking clean and highly crushable. At its core, it’s always been about fresh lime, a touch of sweetness, and a clean, crisp finish simple structure, VINKA starts with real ingredients (like lime and agave) and uses a proprietary extraction method to capture the aroma and flavor in a concentrated mixer. Pair it with a simple, easy-to-make base of neutral spirit, water, and sugar, add ice, shake, and you’re pouring a bar-style Margarita in minutes no citrus squeezing, no extra bottles. In the glass, it shows bright lime on the nose with subtle agave and orange-citrus lift, a focused citrus snap up front, and just enough sweetness to keep the finish crisp rather than cloying. The texture is smooth and refreshing, with enough body to feel like a proper Margarita while still drinking clean and easy. Each sachet mix yields about 10.1 fl oz before ice; after shaking with ice, the finished pour is typically around 12–13 fl oz, depending on how much ice melts. Fast & Consistent: Measure, mix, shake, pour no juicing and no extra bottles. Yield: ~10.1 fl oz pre-ice; typically ~12–13 fl oz after shaking (ice melt varies). Serve-ready: Salt rim optional; garnish with a lime wedge. Also works well as a Margarita slushy in a Ninja slushy machine. Flavor Zesty lime, lightly sweet, clean finish. Salt rim optional. What You’ll Need For Standard Preparation: 80-proof (40% ABV) vodka or neutral spirit, cold water, granulated sugar, ice, shaker. For Slushy Preparation: 5x VINKA Margarita Cocktail Mixer sachets, a 2L-capacity slushy machine, 80-proof (40% ABV) vodka or neutral spirit, cold water, granulated sugar. Directions (per 1 sachet) Use 80-proof (40% ABV) vodka or neutral spirit. In a shaker or bottle, add 5 fl oz vodka/neutral spirit + 3.5 fl oz water. Add 2 Tbsp granulated sugar. Add all 5 VINKA Margarita Cocktail Mixer sachets. Serve Suggestion Salt rim optional; garnish with a lime wedge.   KegLand Part Number: KL38904
