Filter beer like the pros, only on a smaller scale. Most small breweries and wineries use a large plate filter system to achieve clear beer or wine. Now you can do the same at home. Our new plate filter has a larger surface area, which means more yeast and particulate extraction.
Each filtering session requires two filter pads at a time, and each pad must be the same micron to work. The product is pushed into the housing at 5 PSI and passes on either side of the plate filter housing, then gets forced through the filter pads to the center, where it is pushed out into your awaiting collection vessel, such as a keg or tank.
Includes 2 X 24" long hoses (5/16" ID x 7/16" OD)
Made from ABS plastic. Temperature rated to 167°F (75°C).
The beer filter gets installed inline between two ball lock Cornelius kegs using CO2 pressure to push the beer out of the full keg through the filter and into the clean keg. This kit is designed to filter out particles down to 1 micron, which is considered fine filtration. At one micron the beer will be clear after filtration provided you do not have a starch haze. Filtering also accelerates the conditioning process to just a few days. Most of our customers who use the filtering kit find that they; keg beer, chill it overnight, filter the next day, carbonate, and are drinking clear beer in a couple days. For those who want to bottle beer without sediment, filtering combined with the use of a counter pressure bottle filler will allow you to put crystal clear, carbonated beer into bottle. The beer filtering kit comes with one 10" filter housing, a 1 micron 10" spun poly sediment filter, fittings for connection to the filter housing, 3' of beverage line, clamps, and two beverage out ball lock quick disconnects.
Spun-polypropylene filters are disposable filters and cannot be cleaned and used more than once. However, you can filter multiple kegs with one filter. 3 micron will remove most yeast, and 1 micron filtration will remove almost all yeast. All filters are rated nominal (will filter out 80-85% of matter at given rating). Temperature rated to 125°F.
If you drink with your eyes, and prefer a crystal clear beer, then this really is the cheapest method to getting crystal clear beer with little to no effort. This beer filter is designed to be used with the KegLand 1 Micron Filter Cartridge. This filter works best when used as the middle man when transferring icy cold uncarbonated beer between two kegs. All you will need to do is purchase tubing, ball locks to connect to your kegs, and the filter cartrdige to use this system. The included Duotight fittings are compatible with 9.5 mm OD EVABarrier draft tubing. You can connect this tubing to flare style ball lock disconnects using these 9.5 mm Duotight Flare Adapters. Features: Clear high-pressure housing Purge valve to expel air pockets 1/2" BSP inlet and outlet Compatible with other 10" filter systems Note: This filter can also be used to filter out yeast in your distillation wash. Removing yeast before you put your wash into your boiler will significantly improve the quality of your final spirit. Many off flavors in distillation can come from boiling yeast cells. When the yeast cells get boiled, they break open releasing many off flavors aromas and fusel oils. KegLand Part Number: KL02042

Life is too short to drink bad beer! Beer flavor gets funky when your tap, line and faucet are filled with beer stone--a left over gift from pints long since poured. You do NOT want to share that with your friends!
Ideally you want to clean your lines after every keg, but at the very least cleaning them a few times a year (we like quarterly) will keep your brew pouring fresh and your friends asking for more! Our Draft Cleaning Kit comes with a 1 qt hand pump that pushes Beer Line Cleaner (4 oz size included) through your whole draft system. The faucet gets removed and cleaned with the included faucet wrench and brush. Perfect for cleaning home kegerators as well.
Who doesn't love a well-organized kegerator or keezer? The Beer Line Tidy from KegLand offers an easy solution to straighten out your rat's nest of draft lines. Simply remove the paper backing and use the strong 3M adhesive to attach this beer/gas line organizer to whatever device you like. This keeps your beer and gas plumbing neat and tidy so your draft system looks as good as it works.
Primarily designed for 8 mm (5/16") OD tubing, but works with 9.5 mm (3/8") OD and 6.35 mm (1/4") OD tubing as well.
Note: for best results, apply the adhesive at room temperature and let stand for 72 hours before applying load.

Most breweries and wineries use a large plate filter system to achieve clear product. Now you can do the same at home with two corny kegs. Our Beer and Wine Plate Filter Kit has a larger surface area, which means more yeast and particulate extraction than our cartridge filter, and comes with our plate filter, two disposable filter pads, tubing, flare fittings, and two flare beverage ball locks. This kit works great as either a beer or wine filter, but you may want to use different pads depending on the results you're hoping to achieve
Each filtering session requires two pads at a time, and each pad must be the same micron to work. The beer or wine is pushed out of the keg and into the housing at 5 PSI, where it passes on either side of the filter housing, then gets forced from the center through the pads, where it is then pushed out into your clean keg. The rough sides of both filters should be facing each other on the inside of the filter, so the smooth sides face outward.
Each filter pad set is good for approximately 5 gallons of beer when the beer has been filtered by the previous size pads or you are starting with the rough filters. These pads are not designed to be back flushed and reused and should be used in one session.
Clean up your beer and give it that sparkling clarity you see in commercial brews. Filtering removes yeast and dry-hop sediment, both of which can impart off flavors. It's also a great way to give your beer that extra edge in competition. This two-pack of filter pads are for use with our FIL45 series of plate filters. "Sterile" pads will provide between 0.3-0.5 Micron filtration. Please Note: These pads do not remove 100% of bacteria. Only an bsolute rated, 0.45 micron or less cartridge filter can remove all bacteria. All pad filters are rated as "Nominal" filters, meaning a small percentage of the pores in the filter are larger than the stated micron rating. Only certain styles of cartridge filters carry an "Absolute" rating, meaning that all the pores are the stated micron size or smaller.

BeerStix Carboy Sticks are one of the simplest and easiest forms of oak to use in beermaking. Simply add one stick per 5 - 6.5 gallons, and enjoy the results a couple months later. When it comes to removing the stick, there's no fumbling around with cubes trying to get them through the neck of a carboy. These are made with a hole at the top so you can lift the Beer Stix out with fishing line when done. The Carboy Beer Stix are an awesome addition to the homebrewers aresenal. Use them to take a recipe to a fun and delicious next level. Already make an amazing stout, or brown? These are prime candidates to age with some oak, and enjoy the rich results!
American Oak toasted to a Medium + with the beerstix milling will give you flavors and aromas of roasted coffee, light chocolate and honey, as well as some spice notes and hints of leather. Every beer will accentuate, or mask different flavors from the oak, so expect some variation between beers! The Beerstix miling gives 60% more surface area compared to the Winestix, speeding up the extraction process, and getting you a beer that has a rich oak character, in less time. The Beer Stix are also milled thinner than the WineStix, allowing for denser toasting.
Features:
Oak Origin - North American New York Alba
Toast Level - Medium Plus
Oak Form - Carboy Stix (2)
Volume Treated - 6 gal beer each
Extraction Time - 2 Months (see note below)
Flavors & Aromas - Roast Coffee, Light Chocolate, Spice, Honey, Nutmeg, Leather Hints.
Please Note - Allow 2 months minimum extraction time to balance the extraction of short and long grain from the Stix. Removal of the wood early only allows certain extractions of flavors and primarily from the short grain in the BeerStix® milling.
BeerStix Tank Staves are basically oversized Carboy Stix that are designed to treat larger volumes of beer stored in tanks. These are TSS-60 Tank Staves, which are sized for 60 gal batches of beer. Thanks to careful selection of oak, followed by precise aging and seasoning, and exact toasting, these will provide a round and rich oak character specific to the toast level and origin. Think Stave Segments, evolved. The BeerStix Domininos are 1 1/2" square segments of oak, milled to give you quick extraction, and full flavor. While similar to conventional stave segments, you will see similar results in a much shorter timeframe, making these much more suitable for beer. This is a 490 g (1 lb) bag of French Oak Domininos, Toasted Medium Plus and sized to oak 100 gallons of Beer. This is the quickest turnaround on a Beer Stix product. At one month extraction, you'll see a quick integration of rich oak character due to the high surface area of these domininos in contact with your beer.
Thanks to careful selection of oak, followed by precise aging and seasoning, and exact toasting, these Domininos will provide a round and rich oak character specific to the toast level and origin. French Oak toasted to a Medium + with the beerstix milling will give your beer toasted roasty aromas reminiscent of coffee, along with some caramel, and a subtle sweetness that gets the whole palate. Different beer styles will accentuate or mask different flavors from the oak, so expect some variation!
Features:
Oak Origin - France, Allier Region
Toast Level - Medium Plus
Oak Form - Domininos, 490 gram
Volume Treated - 100 Gal Beer
Extraction Time - 1 Month (see note below)
Flavors & Aromas - Coffee, Roasted Toasty aromas, Caramel, Slight Sweetness
Please Note - Allow 1 month minimum extraction time to balance the extraction of short and long grain from the Stix.
Thanks to careful selection of oak, followed by precise aging and seasoning, and exact toasting, these Staves will provide a round and rich oak character specific to the toast level and origin.
The Beerstix miling gives 60% more surface area compared to the Winestix, speeding up the extraction process, and getting you a beer that has a rich oak character, in less time. The Beer Stix are also milled thinner than the WineStix, allowing for denser toasting.
Features:
Oak Origin - France, Allier Region
Toast Level - Medium Plus
Oak Form - Tank Stave, TSS-60
Volume Treated - 60 gal Beer
Extraction Time - 2 Months (see note below)
Flavors & Aromas - Coffee, Roasted Toasty aromas, Caramel, Slight Sweetness
Please Note - Allow 2 months minimum extraction time to balance the extraction of short and long grain from the Stix. Removal of the wood early only allows certain extractions of flavors and primarily from the short grain in the BeerStix® milling.

Belgian Ale will give you a full roundup of phenolic, fruity, clove, plum, and banana flavors
Includes Perle and Saaz hops
Estimated ABV: 5%
Estimated IBUs: 32
Makes 5 gallons of finished beer
Belgian ales are really about creating a simple yet elegant malt base upon which the unique Belgian yeast strains can create their wonderful, complex flavors. This Belgian Ale is their equivalent of our pale ale in alcoholic strength and body. The difference is that the hops are very subdued and only complimentary where as in many American beers hops can create a majority of the flavor profile. One is not better than the other just different, and we love diversity in beer.
Terms used to describe Belgian Ales include phenolic, fruity, with the occasional clove, plum, and banana flavors coming through. Sometimes you just have to try one to understand. In the Dubble and Triple you will have some higher alcohol flavors coming through. This version is less alcoholic and highly drinkable.
Any of the four Belgian yeast strains that we carry from Whitelabs could be used in any of the Belgian recipes. They are all excellent in their own right. The malt extract for this kit is made entirely from our German Pilsner Malt, giving it authentic European flavor. We use turbinado sugar to help up the alcohol and dry out the beer during fermentation.
Makes 5 gallons
Estimated Original Gravity: 1.049-53
SRM (Color Range): 4
IBUs: 32
Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 5%
Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. To find our yeast recommendations, choose your preferred kit option above and then select the drop-down menu under “Yeast Options”. For more info, click on the recommended yeast(s) below in the “You Might Also Need” section below. All grains will come milled, unless you select unmilled base malts.

Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME)
MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.
Wire hoods are a key part of any Belgian-style bottling. Not only do they complete the look of the bottle, but they are required to keep the mushroom cork in place once the carbonation builds up.
Apply them easily with a Wire Hood Fastener giving the hood 5 1/2 turns.
Clear rock candi sugar from Belgium. Add fermentable sugar without adding color or strong flavors. Use to boost the gravity of Belgian and other beers without adding residual sweetness. Color: 0 degrees Lovibond.
Dark rock candi sugar from Belgium. Add great flavor and fermentables to Belgian dark beers, without adding residual sweetness. Color: 275 degrees Lovibond.
Give your homebrewed Belgians an authentic finishing touch!
You will love the old world look you get when you seal your Belgian beer bottles with corks and a wire hood. These corks are made specifically for use with Belgian beer bottles. Our corks are brewery-grade. They are also very dense and give a great seal. They work well with our Floor Corker (W410). A hand corker will not work with these corks.
A long-time customer - John Francisco - told us a tip that he uses when he corks his Belgian beers - put a #7 stopper (FE440) over the plunger rod of the corker so that only 1 3/4" of the rod is exposed. This will stop the cork from going into the bottle too far. A wire hood can then be fastened over the remaining 6/8" - 7/8" of cork sticking out of the bottle. We have tried this and it works great!
Attention: These corks come sanitary in the bag ready to be corked into a bottle. Do not sanitize or boil these or you will ruin the integrity of the cork.
