  • Fermonster 7 Gallon Carboy - Ported Fermonster 7 Gallon Carboy - Ported

FerMonster Carboy With Spigot - 7 gal.

    193 reviews

Smooth, ribless design prevents yeast and bacteria buildup, making sanitation a breeze Punted bottom and conical top promote sediment collection and reduce oxidation during storage Extra-wide 4" mouth opening simplifies filling, additions, and cleaning Constructed from heavy-duty, virgin PET plastic without plasticizers Made with food-grade and BPA-free materials The Ported Fermonster is a brand new fermenter designed specifically for fermentation. MoreBeer! gave product feedback for over 2 years of development and we think they nailed the design. The large lid allows for easy filling and makes hop or oak additions a breeze. The smooth sides are fantastic for sanitization - no ribs or texture to collect yeast or bacteria. The large 7 gallon size was designed to provide ample space for fermentation and you'll find the molded in volume markers super handy for accurate filling. The punted bottom allows sediment to collect to the sides so that you can siphon liquid from the center. Because they are made from virgin PET plastic they nearly unbreakable and a lot safer than similar glass carboys. Also notice the conical top which reduces surface area if you plan to store beer or wine long term. These ported versions come with our plastic spigot (FE347), allowing for easy racking and sampling! Made from heavy PET plastic, the same material used in 2 L soda bottles, which is nearly impermeable to oxygen penetration. Due to the thickness of the material and the overall geometry the Fermonster does not require ribs or dimples for stability. That results in a super smooth interior surface that reduces yeast and sediment buildup making it the easiest to clean, most sanitary PET carboy on the market. The huge 4" opening makes filling a breeze, and cleanup is as easy as wiping down the inside. The 7 gallon volume is a monster of a fermenter, reducing blowoff issues seen with standard 5 and 6 gallon carboys. Fermonsters are easily moved by hand or consider using our Carboy Carrier for even greater ease of use. These fermentors are completely air-tight and the lids sealed tight with an O-Ring. Additional O-Rings and Lids both with and without holes are available for purchase, see our You Might Also Need items below. Features: 4" wide mouth carboy - easy to clean! Ported version includes Spigot for easy racking Food grade PET plastic construction is nearly impermeable to oxygen penetration No hard to clean dimples or ribs Volume Markers at 5, 6, and 7 Gallons Punted bottom O-Ring and Lid with one hole is included (Fits #10 Stopper) Additional O-Rings and Lids available Weight: 1.5 lbs Temperature Limit: 140° F Height: 20.9 inches Diameter: 11.3 inches Completely taste and odor free Perfect for Beer, Wine, Cider, Mead, Kombucha or any other fermented beverage! • FermWrap - 40 Watt Fermentation Heater FermWrap - 40 Watt Fermentation Heater

    The FermWrap™ Heater | Fermentation Heater | 40 watts | 115V

    300 reviews

Achieve consistent and optimal fermentation temperatures with the FermWrap Fermentation Heater. This flexible and easy-to-use unit wraps snugly around your fermenter, providing gentle and controlled heat. Use alone or simply plug into the 110V heatnig plug on most popular temp controllers Provides gentle, even heating with 40 watts spread over almost two square feet Keep your yeast happy and your ferment warm during those cold winter months with this flexible heater wrap! Don't be fooled by imitators and cheap knock-offs, this is the original FermWrap that has been produced by Fermentap for over a decade. Unlike those old heater belts, the FermWrap covers a wide area of your carboy or fermentation vessel, promoting an even heat distribution. Using tape to adhere, the FermWrap can be attached directly to your fermenter, or can be used to heat the space in a box (or refrigerator) that the fermenter is in. Depending on your configuration and insulation, you can increase the temperature of your ferment from 5-20°F. This differential can be increased by using the BrewBuilt™ Neoprene Carboy Sleeve. With 40 watts of heat spread over almost two square feet, it provides gentle, even heating. For more precise results, we recommend a temp controller and carboy thermowell. The controller will monitor the fermentation temp and only power on the FermWrap if the temperature drops below your set point. For the ultimate level of control, we recommend pairing it with the BrewBuilt CoolStix™ to provide cooling. With both accessories plugged into the temp controller, you'll get cooling or heating whenever you need it. Specs: 40 watts 115V 11" H x 25" W Item does not include carboy as pictured. Simply set up the keg washer basin with your cleaner or sanitizer, set your vessel over the jet nozzle, power up the pump and let the Bucket Blaster do the work while you tend to other tasks. Perfect for homebrew kegs, carboys, FermZillas, or bucket fermenters. This unit comes with a 15L (3.9 gal) bucket, which doubles as a storage container when you are not using the system. Other keg washers come with a very small reservoir that make it a pain to move, as liquid spills over the sides easily and generally they just do not work as well. The Bucket Blaster's large 15L reservoir makes it much less likely for you to spill liquid on the floor, and since it can hold more cleaning solution, each cleaning cycle will be that much more effective. 17 reviews

Oxebar Mono is a lightweight 2-gallon keg with high oxygen barrier properties compared to standard PET plastic Add the Ball Lock Adapter Tapping Head to easily pressurize and dispense at home or on the go Lighter than traditional glass growlers. Easier and safer to transport Made from Nylon impregnated PET for superior oxygen barrier Wedge seals on the optional Tapping Head and Ball Lock Caps eliminate points of oxygen ingress found where rubber is traditionally used Lower total oxygen pickup compared to a standard corny keg lid seal This 2-gallon keg is lightweight, compact and has high oxygen barrier properties with 3x better (meaning less) gas transmission than traditional PET grades of plastic making it suitable for beer storage or other oxygen sensitive carbonated and non-carbonated beverages. This product is sold with the PCO38 cap, however if you would like to dispense this product through a draft system, we recommend the use of the Ball Lock Adapter Tapping Head. The tapping head is sold separately and allows you to attach standard ball lock disconnects and pressure relief valve to the top of the keg. What is Oxebar Mono Oxebar Mono is a PET polymer blend that utilizes several polymers blended together to significantly improve gas barrier properties. When compared with standard PET plastic, Oxebar Mono is able to reduce oxygen ingress and CO2 loss so your precious beverage is preserved and shelf life extended by 3x. We recommend this product for beer storage of up to 6 months. Dimensions: Diameter: 6.1" (155 mm) Height: 20.5" (520 mm) Pressure Rating: 58 psi (4 BAR) Temperature Rating: 113°F (45°C) KegLand Part Number: KL22347 NOTE: Oxebar kegs are marked with a manufacturer’s “expiry date”. This does not indicate that the keg is bad after this date; it simply indicates that a hydro test may be in order. 2 years after production and every 2 years after first use, it is recommended that the keg be hydro tested to ensure the tank is holding pressure. Hydro test instructions are available here. You will also need the KG520 Tapping Head and D1072 Green PRV to perform the test. If you do not plan to pressurize the keg, the test is not necessary.

  • Low stock! Blowtie 2 Diaphragm Spunding Valve Complete Kit w/ Duotight Ball Lock Quick Disconnect (QD) - 8mm Duotight

Duotight BlowTie 2 | Complete Kit | Diaphragm Spunding Valve | Built-In Pressure Gauge | 0-15 PSI | 8 mm Duotight | Duotight Ball Lock Quick Disconnect (QD)

    8 reviews

Automatically release pressure inside your fermenter during pressure fermentations Regulate beer flow during pressurized transfers from fermenter to keg Built-in pressure gauge for easy reference when adjusting the spunding valve Pressure gauge is interchangeable—swap to different pressure ranges that better suit your application Diaphragm spunding valves offer higher accuracy compared to spring & poppet spunding valves Comes complete with Duotight ball lock QD and rigid joiner With this complete kit you'll be ready to use the BlowTie 2 Spunding Valve right out of the box. The BlowTie is used to release excess pressure on a pressurized fermenter or from a receiving keg during pressure transfers. This diaphragm spunding valve is much more accurate than the spring and poppet style, and works much better at lower pressures. This version of the Spunding Valve Kit includes the Duotight Ball Lock QD which allows you to attach the BlowTie directly to the QD via the 8 mm rigid joiner. The BlowTie 2 can also be upgraded with a Digital Mini Pressure Gauge. Pressure Fermentation Pressure fermentation is becoming more and more popular at the homebrew level, but in order to do it safely and accurately, you need a way to release excess pressure. You'll pressurize your vessel to your desired psi, but once fermentation begins and those hungry, active yeast start creating CO2, the pressure inside the vessel will increase. Attach a spunding valve and set it to your desired pressure, and it will blow off when the pressure gets to high and close up again when it's back to your desired psi. Pressure Transfers Even if you don't have a pressurizable fermenter, you may have done pressure transfers from keg to keg during filtering or after fining. During pressure transfers, it's a good idea to have a bit of head pressure in the receiving keg, especially if you're transferring beer that is already carbonated. Having a spunding valve in place will allow you to consistently control the head pressure and give you more consistent results, without losing carbonation in the process. Diaphragm vs. Poppet With the poppet style spunding valve, a spring pushes against a poppet to keep the valve closed. When the poppet lifts up to open, the surface area the gas pushes against becomes larger, and the spring has to work harder to push the poppet down and reseal the valve. This can lead to more gas being released than intended, and the remaining pressure in your vessel may be at a lower psi than your spunding valve’s set psi. Instead of a poppet, the spring inside the BlowTie pushes against a diaphragm, which has an immensely larger surface area. This means the surface area that the gas pushes against while the diaphragm is closed is significantly closer to the surface area it pushes against when the diaphragm is open. This leads to higher accuracy, and the remaining pressure after excess gas is released will be much closer to your set blow off pressure. Kit Includes: BlowTie 2 w/ Integrated Pressure Gauge (0-15 psi) 8 mm Duotight Gray Ball Lock Disconnect 8 mm OD Rigid Plastic Joiner

  • Yeast Starter Deluxe Kit (2000 ml)

Deluxe Yeast Starter Kit - 2000 mL

    28 reviews

The Deluxe Yeast Starter Kit will have you making top shelf yeast starters right out of the box. Yeast starters offer higher cell counts at the time the yeast is pitched, leading to faster, healthier fermentations and better tasting beer! Any beer will benefit from a yeast starter, but they're especially recommended for high gravity beers and cold fermenting lagers. This kit includes step-by-step instructions for making a 2L starter, as well as some fantastic upgrades that set it apart from our standard Y320 starter kit. Once you've prepared the starter, sanitize and drop in the stir bar, install the foam stopper, and place the flask on the magnetic stir plate. Turn the dial up until a shallow vortex forms. Magnetic Stir Plate A stir plate will greatly improve the quality of your yeast starter by providing continuous aeration. Yeast need oxygen to produce sterols and multiply. When all the available oxygen is used up the yeast will stop reproducing. Using a stir plate will ensure that your yeast have all the oxygen they could ever want and they'll be able to reproduce as much as possible. Foam Stopper Many yeast starter kits include a rubber stopper and airlock, but we believe a foam stopper is the clear choice. The foam stopper will allow air to flow freely into your flask while keeping pesky bugs and other contaminants out. Simply spray or dunk the stopper in sanitizer before installing it. If you're going to store the starter for a couple days after its finished, remove the foam stopper and cover the flask with sanitized aluminum foil. Foam Axe Foam Axe from CellarScience® is a uniquely formulated anti-foaming agent which reduces surface tension so bubbles are Axed before they can form.  Foam Axe can be used in the kettle to help prevent boil-overs and works great in your fermenter or starter flask to reduce Krausen—stopping your viable yeast from fermenting out the top of your vessel. Just one drop in your flask is all you need. Flask Marker This wax pencil is used for writing on glass surfaces and washes off easily. Great for labeling and writing notes on your yeast starter. Kit Includes: 2000 mL Erlenmeyer flask (student grade) Magnetic Stir Plate (stir bar included) Foam Stopper 1/2 lb Dried Malt Extract 1 oz Fermaid K yeast nutrient 1 oz Foam Axe foam control Flask Marker wax pencil In the lab world, these flasks are known as "Student Grade". A great flask for making yeast starters! (Student grade is not the highest grade flasks and will have minor defects)

  • Beer & Wine Filtering Kit (10 in ) Beer & Wine Filtering Kit (10 in )

Beer Filter Kit - 10 in. Canister Filter

    85 reviews

The beer filter gets installed inline between two ball lock Cornelius kegs using CO2 pressure to push the beer out of the full keg through the filter and into the clean keg. This kit is designed to filter out particles down to 1 micron, which is considered fine filtration. At one micron the beer will be clear after filtration provided you do not have a starch haze. Filtering also accelerates the conditioning process to just a few days. Most of our customers who use the filtering kit find that they; keg beer, chill it overnight, filter the next day, carbonate, and are drinking clear beer in a couple days. For those who want to bottle beer without sediment, filtering combined with the use of a counter pressure bottle filler will allow you to put crystal clear, carbonated beer into bottle. The beer filtering kit comes with one 10" filter housing, a 1 micron 10" spun poly sediment filter, fittings for connection to the filter housing, 3' of beverage line, clamps, and two beverage out ball lock quick disconnects. Spun-polypropylene filters are disposable filters and cannot be cleaned and used more than once. However, you can filter multiple kegs with one filter. 3 micron will remove most yeast, and 1 micron filtration will remove almost all yeast. All filters are rated nominal (will filter out 80-85% of matter at given rating). Temperature rated to 125°F.

  • Yeast Starter Kit (2000ml)

Yeast Starter Kit (Starter Yeast) - 2000 mL

    134 reviews

Yeast starters offer higher cell counts at the time the yeast is pitched, leading to faster, healthier fermentations and better tasting beer!   You may be wondering how to make a yeast starter.  Well, lucky for you this kit contains everything you need for making your own yeast starter right out of the box, including step-by-step instructions!   This is the most common size used to make yeast starters using liquid yeast, great for higher alcohol beer and cold fermented lagers.   In the lab world, these flasks are known as "Student Grade," meaning there may be some cosmetic flaws in the glass, and the volume measurements are approximate due to variations in the thickness of the glass walls of the flask. This makes it a great flask for making yeast starters--at a great price!   We do not recommend the use of an electric element with these flasks. If this cannot be avoided, we suggest using a larger pot as a hot water bath on the stove.

The included air-pump pushes air through an inline sanitary filter which is then dispersed into the wort through our two micron threaded stainless steel diffusion stone. The advantage of an aeration system is that you never have to buy replacement oxygen tanks. The down side is that aeration takes longer than oxygenation. Because the atmosphere is only about 20% oxygen, the diffusion stone must be left running in the wort for approximately 30–120 minutes (however even 5 minutes of aeration is better than shaking the carboy.) There is no concern of contamination during this period, however you do have to monitor the fermenter periodically for possible over foaming. While you are brewing, this system can also be used to pre-fill fermenters with sanitary air. Replacement filters, FIL90, which need replacement every few years, are available for $4.99. About the inline filters: There are two sides to the filter - an "in" and an "out". The direction you use doesn't matter, however, you want to take note of which way you first push air through it and always keep it that way. There is an arrow on the edge of the filter housing that we use to keep the air flow going one direction when using it. The filter should never get wet, so don't try and sanitize it by dunking it in sanitizer. If you want to clean the outside of it, use Alpet D2 (CL60). To store the filter, use a little tinfoil on the "Out" of the filter and store in a zip-lock bag. The stone is attached to semirigid polyethylene tubing temp rated from -40°F to 140°F.

Wort Chiller | Immersion Chiller | 25' x 3/8" Copper Tubing | Vinyl Tubing Included for Inlet/Outlet | Female Garden Hose Adapter

    75 reviews

In a traditional wort chiller, the coils rest on the bottom of the pot and the hot wort on top takes a very long time to reach them, making the entire process time consuming and inefficient. Our original, simple innovation for the Immersion Wort Chiller from MoreBeer! is to move the coils right to the top where the majority of the heat is. This promises to give you the fastest heat exchange possible, to cool your wort down more efficiently and to get your brew into the fermenter as quickly and cleanly as possible. There is also no need to stir during chilling which reduces contamination and allows your trub and spent hops to settle to the bottom of your kettle. The connection feeds on our chillers our bent out down at an angle so that if there is any dripping at the copper/vinyl connection point it drips out of the kettle and not back into your beer. Also works perfect with a kettle that features a notched lid. Made in the USA in our metal shop. Specs: 25' of 3/8" copper tubing 8' of vinyl tubing at both the inlet and the outlet Female garden hose adapter fitting for easy use with a garden hose spigot 10" diameter, 8" to the top coil, 15" to the bend to go over the lip of the kettle This chiller also comes in a water efficient version that uses less water.

  • FerMonster 6 Gallon Carboy FerMonster 6 Gallon Carboy

    FerMonster Carboy - 6 gal.

    3 reviews

Smooth, ribless design prevents yeast and bacteria buildup, making sanitation a breeze Punted bottom and conical top promote sediment collection and reduce oxidation during storage Extra-wide 4" mouth opening simplifies filling, additions, and cleaning Constructed from heavy-duty, virgin PET plastic without plasticizers Made with food-grade and BPA-free materials The Fermonster is a brand new fermenter designed specifically for fermentation. MoreBeer! gave product feedback for over 2 years of development and we think they nailed the design. The large lid allows for easy filling and makes hop or oak additions a breeze. The smooth sides are fantastic for sanitization - no ribs or texture to collect yeast or bacteria. The 6 gallon size is great for most fermentations, and the larger 7 gallon is available for even bigger beers. Made from heavy PET plastic, the same material used in 2 L soda bottles, which is nearly impermeable to oxygen penetration. Due to the thicknes of the material and the overall geometry the Fermonster does not require ribs or dimples for stability. That results in a super smooth interior surface that reduces yeast and sediment buildup making it the easiest to clean, most sanitary PET carboy on the market. The huge 4" opening makes filling a breeze, and cleanup is as easy as wiping down the inside. Food grade PET plastic construction is nearly impermeable to oxygen penetration No hard to clean dimples or ribs Volume Markers at 5 and 6 Gallons Punted bottom O-Ring and Lid with one hole is included (Fits #10 Stopper) Additional O-Rings and Lids available Weight: 1.5 lbs Temperature Limit: 140° F Height: 19.25 inches Diameter: 11.25 inches Completely taste and odor free Perfect for Beer, Wine, Cider, Mead, Kombucha or any other fermented beverage! Modeled after the most popular Mexican-style lager in the U.S., Corona Extra. Light, crisp, and refreshing Includes 100% Galena hops Estimated ABV: 4.7% Estimated IBUs: 15 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer Sometimes you just want a reliable, simple beer that you know will quench your thirst. Whether you're relaxing under the sun on a pool day or getting beat down by merciless rays on a chore day, you can always count on this crisp, refreshing Mexican Cerveza to cool you off. In that fashion, we designed a straightforward recipe that consists of Pilsner malt extract, flaked corn and a scoop of Carapils with two dashes of Galena hops to provide just a kiss of bitterness. To make it a true to form cerveza, ferment cold with a Mexican yeast strain like CellarScience® BAJA. Originally developed and popularized by the Modelo Group, this Mexican yeast strain produces clean lagers and finishes dry. All included steeping grains will come milled. Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME) MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

    Cool Brewing Fermentation Cooler Bag

    103 reviews

Control your fermentation temperatures with Cool Brewing's simple, yet innovative, insulated fermentation bag. This is the 2nd generation Cool Brew bag, which has made cold fermentations even easier! Fermenting your homebrew at the right temperature is one of the critical factors in making good beer. Let the temperature get too warm, and your beer will taste 'rough' as the soft malt and vibrant hop flavors dissapear! Typically an advanced homebrewer would want to get a spare refrigerator or even a MoreBeer! Cooled Conical to control fermentation temperatures, both those options either take up a lot of space or can cost a fair amount of money. The Cool Brewing Bag allows the apartment brewer, those who have space constraints, or the brewer on a budget a great option to control fermentation temperature and make great beer. Cool Brewing's Fermentation Cooler is designed specifically to accommodate standard 6.5, 6 or 5 gallon fermenter. You freeze a 2 liter soda bottle with water, or similar, and place in the fermentation bag with your fermenting carboy. Also works great with the Ss BrewTech Brew Buckets! The typical desired ale fermentation range is on average around 62-72° F. For a typical 5 gallon batch (1) frozen 2-liter bottle should lower wort temperature around 5 degrees, while using (2) 2-liter bottles will lower wort temperature around 11 degrees for 24-36 hours. Of course your exact results might vary but you can adjust the amount of ice you use as you go. The manufacturer has found they can cool the wort temperature up to around a 30-35° drop from ambient room temperature. On the flipside, add a Fermwrap and temperature controller to the setup, and you've got a heated fermentation temperature accurate to within 1° F! The Cool Brewing Fermentation Cooler is sealed, insulated and 100% waterproof so it will efficiently and neatly keep your temperatures in check. When you’re done, the Cool Brewing Fermentation Cooler easily folds up for storage until the next brew day! Will work great in condos and warm climates where you need a swamp cooler even for Ale’s! Contains the mess of any fermentation blowouts Inner dimensions: 20.5"D x 25.5"H

    The Kettle Spider

    69 reviews

Make your brew day easier and your additions more efficient with a Kettle Spider. Attach one of our reusable nylon bags with drawstring and use the Kettle Spider to steep grains in an extract batch or use for multiple hop additions in a boil.  Often when you use a bag for hops or grain you are not getting the full extraction of flavor or alpha acids. With an ideal placement in the middle of your kettle, the Kettle Spider aids in extraction of flavor, oils and alpha acids. The Kettle Spider makes bags easier to use with hops because it is open throughout the boil. Just keep adding the hops your recipe calls for. Also keeps bags off the bottom of the kettle, preventing a hole from developing in your bag. Tip: To secure your bag, try attaching a Keg Lid O-ring around the ring to hold your bag in place.
