Phantasm Hazy Pale Ale | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | Extract
Our Phantasm Powder hazy recipes are bursting with a tropical bouquet complimented by a choice selection of New Zealand and Pacific Northwest hops Includes Cascade, Citra®, Motueka, Mosaic®, and Nelson hops Estimated ABV: 5.8% Estimated IBUs: 22 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer If you're hearing ghostly tales whispered around your local homebrew shop, there's no need to pile your brew crew into the hippy van—this one is no mystery. Phantasm Powder has been causing quite a stir on the craft beer scene, and the buzz is well deserved. Adding this powder to your wort and fermenting it with a thiolized yeast strain is one of the easiest ways to boost tropical flavor and aroma in your finished beer. Derived from Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc Grapes, this powder will add a concentrated dose of thiol precursors. During fermentation, yeast will go to work on these aroma compounds and "free the thiol", boosting the tropical bouquet of your beer to supernatural levels. We're stoked to get this cutting-edge ingredient into the hands of homebrewers so we designed a series of Phantasm recipe kits that will set you up to take full advantage of brewing with Phantasm Powder. Our Phantasm Hazy Pale Ale features a 50/50 split of New Zealand and Pacific Northwest aroma hop additions that lean into a tropical, citrusy character that will pair perfectly with Phantasm Powder. Since this kit series is all about the thiols, we start with whole cone Cascade in the mash to further increase the thiol precursors. Add the Phantasm Powder at flameout along with your whirlpool / hop stand additions. For maximum effect, we highly recommend choosing a thiolized yeast strain for fermentation which are specifically designed to boost thiol biotransformation. Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity: 1.054-59 SRM (Color Range): 3-4 IBUs: 22 Estimated Original Gravity: 5.8% Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. To find our yeast recommendations, choose your preferred kit option above and then select the drop-down menu under “Yeast Options”. For more info, click on the recommended yeast(s) below in the “You Might Also Need” section below. All included steeping grains will come milled. Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME) MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

Amarillo® Brand VGXP01 | Cryo Hops®
Use for hoppy beer styles including Hazy IPA, West Coast IPA, Pale Ales, or Hoppy Lagers Aroma Profile: Citrus, Herbal, Spicy, Stone Fruit, Woody Alpha Acids: 13.0 – 20.0% Cryo Hop® Hop Pellets Higher AA and nearly twice the resin content of traditional T-90 hop pellets Increase yield by reducing vegetal matter in your brewhouse and fermenter Cryo Hops® provide brewers with the ability to get gigantic hop character while reducing astringent and unpleasant vegetal flavors. With a substantially higher oil and resin content, LupuLN2 powder offers up all the flavor and aroma of a heavily hopped beer, but with a significanly reduced grassy character. Typical usage of Cryo Hops® would be roughly 50% of pellets. LupuLN2 powder can be used in any application where traditional hop products are utilized, including: Bittering, Kettle, Whirlpool and even direct to the fermentor. It is suggested that you use Cryo Hops® as late additions, in the whirlpool or dry hop, as the volatile aromatic compounds will be driven off if added early in the boil. Cryo Hops® are an innovative hop product that is made by separating the lupulin from the hop flower using cryogenic processing. The result is a product with twice the potency of T90 pellets, with reduced astringency and vegetative material. Note: These hops come pelletized. MoreHaze! Juicy Double IPA | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | Extract
A delicious, juicy, New England Double IPA. Juicy and citrusy with a little dank Includes Columbus, Cascade, Amarillo®, Mosaic®, Simcoe®, and Citra® hops Estimated ABV: 9.1% Estimated IBUs: 32 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer MoreHaze! is a delicious, juicy, NE style double IPA. This beer was brewed as a collaboration between EJ Phair Brewing Co. and MoreBeer! We liked the beer so much that we wanted people to be able to brew it at home. The beer is very high in alcohol (9.1% ABV), low in bitterness, light in color and loaded with hops. We dry hopped this beer in multiple stages, added lots of high protein grains and did not use any clarifying agents, which leads to a hazy beer loaded with flavor. Flavor and aroma is very citrusy (orange, tangerine, grapefruit) and mildly danky. The large addition of wheat and oats adds a soft, pillowy texture to the beer. The feed back was that this beer is delicious and dangerously easy to drink at such a high ABV. Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity: 1.086-1.090 SRM (Color Range): 4-5 IBUs: 32 Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 9.1% Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. To find our yeast recommendations, choose your preferred kit option above and then select the drop-down menu under “Yeast Options”. Premium Electric Home Brewing Kit
Due to high demand, some of these items are currently out of stock but available for pre-order. Please check status notes below when selecting a size option to see if it is In Stock or tagged as PreBook. We will automatically ship this to you when we receive more inventory. Begin your homebrewing journey with an Electric Brewery! 9-gallon electric kettle saves space and can be upgraded later for all-grain brewing No expensive gas burner or heavy-duty brewing kettle required! Easy-to-use digital controller maintains your set temperature automatically Step-by-Step instruction pamphlet fine-tuned over 20 years for easy success The Premium Electric Homebrewing Starter Kit is one of the most approachable starter kits we’ve ever offered and represents the absolute best value you’ll find! The defining piece of this kit is the DigiBoil electric kettle. Most home brewing kits require a kitchen stove or outdoor propane burner, but with the DigiBoil you can make great beer just about anywhere you can find a power socket. The DigiBoil’s compact design makes this kit the ideal choice for those that want to brew indoors and not take up a lot of space. We also include the 6-gallon Fermonster fermenter, copper wort chiller, beer recipe kit of your choice, and all the time-tested brewing equipment you need to make beer at home. If purchased piece-by-piece this kit would cost well over $500, so you can feel confident that you’re getting all of the included equipment at the lowest price possible! Electric Brewing Typical home brewing starter kits set you up to brew your first batch of beer on the kitchen stove. This may lower the price tag but brewers will naturally progress beyond the kitchen to an outdoor gas burner or electric brewing system. Electric brewing systems have several advantages, firstly being that they do not require propane so there is no chance of running out of gas mid-brew. Secondly, electric kettles use a built-in temperature probe and digital controller to automatically maintain temperatures. This gives you a precise level of control that gas systems rarely match. Finally, the DigiBoil electric kettle is extremely compact and is the ideal choice for brewers that have space constraints or live in an area where brewing outdoors isn't an option year-round. 110V vs. 220V The DigiBoil electric kettle comes in two power options, 110 volt and 220 volt. The 110V unit features a standard 3-prong plug and will work with most US household power outlets. The 220V unit features a NEMA 6-30R plug, typically only used with large household appliances such as washer/dryer outlets. Both power options are perfectly suitable for brewing. The 110V option provides greater flexibility, allowing you to move your brewery from the kitchen to the garage, basement, or outdoor patio with ease. If you have convenient access to 220V power, the 220V model will significantly reduce heating times and provide a more vigorous boil. Extract Brewing Extract brewing is the simplest process for making beer and is therefore the most popular method for beginners. Powdered or liquid malt extract is added to water to make a sweet solution loaded with fermentable sugars that yeast will later turn into alcohol. The mixture is then brought to a boil and hops are added for flavoring. This simple method allows novice brewers to focus on learning the overall process of brewing while still making delicious beer. If you’re interested in all-grain brewing, check out the Premium Electric All Grain Home Brewing Kit. This version of the kit includes the DigiMash upgrade, which can always be purchased later when you’re ready to advance. The Fermonster Fermenter - A Huge Upgrade Over Standard Buckets or Glass "Carboy" Water Bottles Unlike buckets or glass carboys, the Fermonster fermenter was designed for brewing beer. It is made from tough, clear, virgin grade PET plastic so you can see the magic of fermentation. Unlike glass it will never break and shatter if dropped. It represents a huge upgrade over traditional buckets because these fermenters are much less likely to get scratched. Scratches can hold bacteria that can cause off flavors in the beer. The Fermonster comes with a built-in spigot that eliminates a long time issue in homebrewing of having to start a siphon to transfer your beer to the bottling bucket after fermentation is over. The large 4" lid allows for easily adding yeast, hops, or other additions. We also really love the molded-in level markers that tell you exactly when you have reached your desired volume. We Don't Skimp on Cleaning and Sanitizing Proper cleaning and sanitizing is one of the core tenants of making great beer. Some starter kits utilize an all-in-one cleaner/sanitizer that does neither job well. We’ve included the best-selling sanitizer for brewing, Star San. We also include Craftmeister oxygen-based cleaning tablets that make cleaning your Fermonster Fermenter a breeze. Other Upgrades That Make Brewing Easier We’ve also made a few items standard that really make the brew day easier including a thermometer for temperature monitoring and a hydrometer with testing jar for measuring sugar levels. Our reusable mesh bags allow for the easy removal of spent grain and hops at the end of the boil. The included stainless spoon is a really nice upgrade over plastic when you are stirring boiling liquids. Easy, How-To Instructions & an Actual 800# We've taught hundreds of thousands of people how to brew in over 25 years. Our instructions are clear and simple to follow and will have you making great beer with batch number one. If you have any questions, call our on-staff brewmasters at 1-800-600-0033. In an age where 800-numbers and real customer service is going away, you can still call us and ask a question. Recipe Options: American Ale produces a light colored, hoppy Pale Ale that puts the beloved Cascade hop on full display. Take a pale ale and add more malt, more grain, and more hops. Expect more alcohol and a more pronounced hop character. Brown Porter is a smooth, easy drinking beer. If you like maltiness emphasized with a hint of chocolate roastiness and subtle caramel nuttiness this is the beer for you. Imperial Yeast | A44 Kveiking Ale | Beer Yeast | Double Pitch | 200 Billion Cells
A44 thrives in hot fermentations when big complex ester profiles are desired Use this blend for anything from new school hazy IPAs to traditional Norwegian farmhouse brews Double pitch size with a minimum of 200 billion cells—twice the size of the standard yeast pitch Imperial Yeast is a group of hard-working, fermentation fanatics who provide the brewing industry with the highest quality, most effective yeast possible The Kveiking blend thrives in hot fermentations when big complex ester profiles are desired. A low pitch rate can be used to drive these aromatics even higher but the brewer should ensure this low pitch rate can be combined with a continuously high fermentation temperature. If the temperature drops too low, the corresponding level of attenuation can be low, with high terminal gravities. This blend contains flocculent and non-flocculent yeast strains, therefore the clarity of the final beers produced can be variable. Use this blend for anything from new school hazy IPAs to traditional Norwegian farmhouse brews. The Kveiking blend also works well when fermenting kettle soured worts for a strong tropical fruit character. Premium Home Brewing Kit
Everything that comes with our Deluxe kit plus some major upgrades Large 8.5-gallon brew kettle with ball valve port for easy transferring of liquids Copper wort chiller offers a quick & convenient way to chill wort — no ice bath required! Step-by-Step instruction pamphlet fine-tuned over 20 years for easy success Your choice of recipe kit included The Premium Homebrewing Starter Kit is our "get the best to start with" kit and comes with all the bells and whistles! Included in this beer brewing starter kit is a massive 8.5 gallon stainless steel brewing kettle, 7 gallon Fermonster fermenter, copper wort chiller, choice of ingredient kit, and all the time tested brewing equipment you need to make beer at home. Long story short, this kit has everything you need to start home brewing! We started with our Deluxe Homebrew Starter Kit (BRKIT20) and upgraded the brew kettle to an 8.5 gallon model. The larger volume kettle allows for Full-Boil brews which can have lighter color and better hop flavors. The included kettle spigot makes transferring liquid from your kettle to your Fermonster Fermenter safe and easy. Our kettle also includes a thermometer port with plug so that you can add a dedicated kettle thermometer at any time. You will also enjoy the new silicone handle grips and internally stamped volume markers. Then in order to quickly cool the beer after boiling we included our WC20 copper Wort Chiller (a $60 value!). To top it off, we upgraded the Fermonster by a gallon to a massive 7 gallon capacity. This can be key down the road when you want to brew certain styles of beer that foam a lot during fermentation. With smaller fermenters it can bubble right out of the top. Stay out of trouble by never making a mess! A larger kettle, wort chiller and bigger fermenter are some of the first upgrades new brewers make—save yourself the hassle and purchase these items at an amazing value as part of the Premium Homebrew Starter Kit, from Morebeer!™ The Fermonster Fermenter - A Huge Upgrade Over Standard Buckets or Glass "Carboy" Water Bottles Unlike buckets or glass carboys, the Fermonster fermenter was designed for brewing beer. Easy to follow, How-To Instructions with Videos & a FREE 800 Number with Actual Brewers to ask questions! We've taught hundreds of thousands of people how to brew in over 25 years. Zappa™ | Pellet Hops
These hops are far out, man! Named after Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Frank Zappa, this neomexicanus breed was first found in the mountains of New Mexico and later developed by CLS Farms. As wild and free as the music Frank composed, Zappa™ hops are tough to nail down with any singular description. German Hefeweizen | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | Extract
This German-style Wheat Beer recipe allows Hefeweizen yeast to shine at the forefront of the flavor profile. One of most popular kits ever! Includes a single addition of Northern Brewer hops Estimated ABV: 4.5% Estimated IBUs: 13 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer This German-style Wheat Beer has a lovely blond color and distinct hazy appearance in the glass. The flavor for German Hefeweizen is primarily based on the flavor of the very specialized Hefeweizen yeast, so be sure to select one of these strains for fermentation. Just be ready for a vigorous fermentation! This beer is known to pop off airlocks if there isn't enough room in the fermenter. This kit does not contain any steeping grain, using 100% Bavarian Wheat malt extract. A dash of Northern Brewer hops provides just enough bitterness to balance the malt and yeast character. Despite the simple recipe, this is one of our most popular ingredient kits. Our German Hefeweizen is a customer favorite that has brought home many ribbons. If you want to put a little spin on this recipe, add 8 oz of Caramunich and 4 oz of Chocolate malt to make a Dunkelweizen! Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity: 1.046-50 SRM (Color Range): 7 IBUs: 13 Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 4.5% Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar.

Scottzyme KS
cottzyme KS – High-Power Enzyme for Complex Pectin Breakdown in Red, White, and Problem Wines Breaks down complex, highly esterified pectins that standard pectinases cannot Enhances clarification, settling, and filterability in challenging juices and wines Boosts juice and wine yield by improving extraction from thick-skinned or high-pectin fruit Ideal for problem fermentations or hazy wines that resist fining and filtration Performs well at low temperatures and in a broad pH range Scottzyme KS is a specialized pectolytic enzyme designed to break down complex pectin structures found in high-pectin varietals and difficult ferments. While standard enzymes like PEC5L target simple soluble pectins, KS is formulated with enhanced side-chain cleaving activity that attacks esterified pectins and heavily branched structures. This makes it particularly effective on cultivars like Pinot Gris, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Muscat, and in juice or wine where haze persists despite prior enzymatic treatment. KS improves clarification, tightens lees, increases press and wine yields, and boosts filtration efficiency—especially in wines that defy typical settling protocols. Comparison to Scottzyme PEC5L: Scottzyme PEC5L is a fast-acting general-purpose pectinase for typical clarification tasks, such as settling and flotation of white and rosé juices. It’s ideal for clean juice production from standard grapes and most fruit wines. In contrast, KS is the go-to choice when PEC5L isn’t enough—it’s stronger on stubborn, esterified pectins and delivers better results with problematic varieties or ferments that remain hazy even after PEC5L. While PEC5L is excellent for fast juice prep, KS excels in the most difficult cases, including post-fermentation haze and challenging press fractions. Protocol Dilute Scottzyme KS in 10 times its volume of chlorine-free water or juice. Add to must, juice, or wine and mix well. Suitable for use before or after fermentation. Do not add simultaneously with bentonite or high SO₂. Works effectively at 10–20°C. Usage Rates Recommended dosage: 1.5–4.0 mL per 1000 lb of fruit or 0.075–0.2 mL per gallon = approximately 0.02–0.05 mL per liter Use lower rates for moderate haze and extended contact time. Use higher rates in cold settling, high-pectin juices, or persistent post-fermentation hazes. Allow 4–24 hours of contact time depending on application.

Premium Electric All Grain Home Brewing Kit
The only equipment kit we offer for all-grain brewing right from the start! Includes the DigiMash upgrade kit so you can perform a mash in the DigiBoil electric kettle No expensive gas burner or heavy-duty brewing kettle required! Easy-to-use digital controller maintains your set temperatures automatically Step-by-Step instruction pamphlet fine-tuned over 20 years for easy success The Premium Electric All Grain Homebrewing Starter Kit represents the absolute best value you’ll find in all-grain equipment kits! What puts this kit ahead of the pack is the DigiBoil electric kettle with DigiMash upgrade, which combine for the most affordable and approachable introduction to all-grain brewing. Electric systems are becoming more and more popular in homebrewing, and for good reason. All Grain Brewing Extract brewing is the most popular method for beginner brewers, but all-grain is really where it’s at. Instead of using concentrated malt extracts, the fermentable sugars are produced by steeping malted grains in hot water for an extended period of time, a process called ‘mashing’. All-grain brewing offers far greater control over the character of the finished beer, allowing the brewer to finely adjust the color, body, and malt profile. This kit is also perfectly suited for extract brewing, so if you find all-grain brewing a bit too complicated at first you can always switch methods. Your system will be ready for all-grain whenever you're ready to step back up! Rather start out with Extract brewing? Check out the extract-only version of the Premium Electric Homebrewing Starter Kit. For many years Sabro™ brand HBC 438 has been unofficially referred to as Ron Mexico due to its native US neomexicanus hop heritage, and was once one of the more difficult hops to get your hands on. It developed such a huge cult following in the brewing community that you can trace the recent boom in available neomexicanus hop varieties back to HBC 438. Sabro is notable for its complexity of fruity and citrus flavors. It imparts distinct tangerine, coconut, tropical fruit, and stone fruit aromas, with hints of cedar, mint, and cream. Sabro’s pedigree is the result of a unique cross pollination of a female neomexicanus hop. With a robust brewing performance, Sabro proves to be a strongly expressive hop that translates its flavor incredibly well into beer. Vinnie of Russian River Brewing once used this hop in an experimental beer brewed for the National Homebrewers Conference, which was an absolute hit. We recently toured Russian River's new Windsor brewery with Vinnie, and he still raves about this hop and will happily talk about the origin of the Ron Mexico alias with a Cheshire grin on his face. We think you'll absolutely love this hop for brewing juicy, tropical pale ales and IPAs! Sabro™ is a trademark owned by Hop Breeding Company, LLC

The first years crop will generally be smaller than subsequent years. Since these are live plants, we cannot guarantee they will grow, so we recommend buying two of each type to help ensure their success. Shipping Restrictions: Due to agricultural restrictions, we can only ship rhizomes to addresses that are in the United States, excepting Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, and the counties of Bonner and Kootenai in Idaho. Unfortunately, we cannot ship these to international locations including APO/FPO addresses.

CellarScience® Tropic Thunder | Tropical Flavor Enhancer
Due to high demand, this item is currently out of stock. Be the first to receive your items by placing a pre-order today. We will automatically ship this to you when we receive more inventory. Unique amino acid blend activates Ehrlich pathway causing beer and wine yeast to produce tropical flavors Contributes complexity to beer styles like Hazys where tropical flavors are desired. Pairs perfectly with CellarScience HAZY Yeast Contributes tropical complexity to Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier wines when used in conjunction with CellarScience CITRUS Wine Yeast Enhance tropical flavors in your beer or wine with CellarScience Tropic Thunder. By changing the amino acid mix you feed your yeast you can influence the final flavors yeast produce. To understand why, we have to first explain the Ehrlich pathway which was discovered over 100 years ago by German Biochemist Felix Ehrlich. Yeast absorbs and breaks down a specific set of amino acids very slowly over the course of fermentation. The yeast cells incorporate the amino group into their cell structure, leaving an alpha-keto acid. This acid is turned into fusel alcohol by the yeast and then returned back out into the wort. This production of fusel alcohols via the breakdown of specific amino acids is called the Ehrlich Pathway. For Beer Fusel alcohol may scare you as a brewer... we get it, you are trained to avoid these! But certain fusel alcohols actually have a really positive effect on the final beer flavor. The idea behind CellarScience Tropic Thunder is we have selected specific amino acids that when fed to your yeast will result in the production of a small amount of fusel alcohols that contribute to the tropical flavors of mango, pineapple, and coconut. Tropic Thunder nutrient is often used to help create complexity in hazy IPA, but feel free to use it in any style where tropical flavors would be welcome—you are only limited by your imagination! When used in beer, Tropic Thunder can replace your typical yeast nutrient as it is itself an organic, DAP-free nutrient. If you typically use a complex nutrient that includes DAP, you can continue to add it separately as normal. For Wine Tropic Thunder is perfect for Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier and other select styles where tropical fruit flavors are part of your vision. In addition to selecting a thiol releasing yeast strain such as CellarScience CITRUS, Tropic Thunder can help bring complimentary tropical fusel flavors via the Ehrlich pathway. As a part of the overall mix, along with thiols and terpenes, the complexity of Sauvignon Blanc or Viognier is enhanced. Tropic Thunder can also be used in select Chardonnays or any white wines where tropical mango and pineapple flavors are desired. When added at the rate of 0.6 to 2 grams per gallon, Tropic Thunder contributes 3 to 12 ppm of YAN. When using CellarScience FermFed or FermFed DAP Free nutrient blends to power your fermentation, we recommend adding Tropic Thunder on top of these additions. Use: For beer or white wine add 0.6 to 2 gram per gallon (0.15 to 0.5 grams per liter) directly into the fermenter at the start of fermentation. Perform bench trials to determine optimal usage or start with a dosage of 1.2 g per gal (0.3 g per liter) and adjust as needed on future batches.
