1.5-3 °L - Fawcett Malting - If you're looking for a malt to enhance the haze of your New England IPA, this is the malt for you! Oat Malt is perfect for beers where you aren't concerned with clarity. Use this malt in your next Hazy IPA or Belgian Wit to assist with head retention and add mouthfeel. 5 - 10% Oat Malt in the grain bill will add a light haze without impacting the beer's flavor.
Also perfectly suited for Porters and Stouts to add oat flavor when desired. Try using 10 - 20% in the grain bill for a light oat character, or 20 - 50% for a distinct oat flavor.

Please Note: For best results we Always recommend ordering an Ice Pack with your liquid yeast. Ice Packs can be found below in the "You might Also Need" section.
Please Note: When choosing an ice pack option beware that the liquid yeast will not arrive cold even when shipped together. Ice packs and insulated mailing options are designed to keep the yeast colder for longer during shipment, but they will not ensure that your yeast arrives cold. We will not replace liquid yeast that arrives warm. During warmer months we strongly recommend you choose dry yeast.
CALI is the classic American ale strain famous for its clean, neutral flavor and its ability to be used in nearly any style
A quintessential house strain that will allow malt and hops to shine
Designed to be sprinkled directly onto the surface of your wort with no pre-oxygenation before pitching required
Ferment between 59-72°F
CellarScience offers high-quality yeast that is easy to use, consistent, and available at a tremendous value
The classic American ale strain that has a long history of producing amazing beers. Famous for its clean, neutral flavor and its ability to be used in nearly any style. The reason this is the most popular strain in homebrewing and craft brewing is that it allows malt and hops to shine. You can never go wrong with CALI. Like all CellarScience yeast, CALI is eligible for direct pitch straight into your wort. CellarScience provides 15g of yeast per sachet, which is up to 36% more than any other brand of dry yeast. Every batch of yeast is PCR tested to ensure quality. CALI has been selling to pro breweries for awhile but was just recently packaged down to sachets for homebrewers.
Dosage:
One sachet is enough to treat a 5-6 gallon batch. When calculating for larger batches, use at a rate of 2-3 grams per gallon of wort. We recommend rounding up by one full sachet rather than measuring out the yeast exactly.
For professional brewers, use at a rate of 60-100 grams per barrel, depending on wort temperature and gravity.
Direct Pitch or Rehydrate:
CALI yeast is designed to be sprinkled directly onto the surface of your wort with no oxygenation required in the initial fermentation. Our aerobic growth process makes this possible by creating dry yeast with high viability and high sterol levels. CALI yeast is pre-loaded with essential nutrients to ensure a successful, complete fermentation. While not required, some brewers prefer to rehydrate yeast. To hydrate yeast, first, sanitize the yeast brick and scissors. Use 10 grams of sterilized tap water between 85-95°F (29-35°C) mixed with 0.25 grams of FermStart per gram of yeast. Sprinkle yeast on the water. Allow the slurry to stand undisturbed for 20 minutes, then swirl. Use small amounts of wort to adjust to within 10°F (6°C) of wort temperature before pitching. Ferment between 59-72°F (15-22°C).
Optimum Fermentation Temp: 59-72°F
Flocculation: Medium
Alcohol Tolerance: 10-11% ABV (WY1056 11%)
Attenuation: 75-84%
Similar Strains: WLP001, WY1056, US-05

CellarScience Yeast:
For years liquid yeast has been sold as the higher quality option but times are changing. Yes, 20 years ago dry yeast was made by bread yeast producers and the quality was not as good as liquid yeast. CellarScience is helping to flip that script with a full lineup of high-quality dry yeasts. Cell count and viability is usually higher than commercial liquid yeast pitches, which vary from pouch to pouch and don't ship well. CellarScience yeast can be pitched directly in most batches of wort, offering significant time savings. Yeast that is quick and easy to use, high quality, and available at a reasonable cost adds up to a tremendous value. Quality yeast that doesn't "break the brink".
CellarScience Nutrients:
For high gravity ferments consider rehydrating yeast with CellarScience FermStart yeast hydration nutrient. For high gravity or low nutrient wort, feed your fermentation with CellarScience FermFed DAP Free complex yeast nutrient mix.

Whole cone hops are often preferred for dry hopping as they maintain contact while floating in the beer and are easier to remove
Adding whole cone hops directly to the mash tun is a great way to add flavor and help clarify wort
Citra® is currently one of the most sought-after hops among craft and home brewers for their intense citrus aroma and flavor. Grapefruit and lime aromas along with gooseberry, passion fruit, and lychee notes. Currently one of the top choices for late hop additions or dry hopping when you want to make that ultimate hop bomb IPA or Pale Ale. Citra® also has a fairly high alpha acid content making it a good choice for bittering IPAs, Pales, and American Ales. Supply has been limited in the industry but MoreBeer! loved this hop from day one and bought a lot of it years ago on contract.
Whole cone hops are typically the preferred format for dry hopping as they maintain contact with the beer by floating, they are easier to remove than pellets and they add a unique character to the beer. Adding whole cone hops directly to the mash tun is also a great way to add some extra hop flavor and to clarify your wort as it filters through the flowers.

Cryo Hop® Hop Pellets
Higher AA and nearly twice the resin content of traditional T-90 hop pellets
Increase yield by reducing vegetal matter in your brewhouse and fermenter
Cryo Hops® provide brewers with the ability to get gigantic hop character while reducing astringent and unpleasant vegetal flavors. With a substantially higher oil and resin content, LupuLN2 powder offers up all the flavor and aroma of a heavily hopped beer, but with a significanly reduced grassy character. Additionally, the lower dosage rate of the concentrated powder reduces the volume of trub and therefore, kettle loss. Using Cryo Hops® you will net more beer that is clearer!
Typical usage of Cryo Hops® would be roughly 50% of pellets. LupuLN2 powder can be used in any application where traditional hop products are utilized, including: Bittering, Kettle, Whirlpool and even direct to the fermentor. It is suggested that you use Cryo Hops® as late additions, in the whirlpool or dry hop, as the volatile aromatic compounds will be driven off if added early in the boil.
Cryo Hops® are an innovative hop product that is made by separating the lupulin from the hop flower using cryogenic processing. The result is a product with twice the potency of T90 pellets, with reduced astringency and vegetative material.
Note: These hops come pelletized. The powder is compressed into pellet form to make handling easier.

This German-style Wheat Beer recipe allows Hefeweizen yeast to shine at the forefront of the flavor profile. One of most popular kits ever!
Includes a single addition of Northern Brewer hops
Estimated ABV: 4.5%
Estimated IBUs: 13
Makes 5 gallons of finished beer
This German-style Wheat Beer has a lovely blond color and distinct hazy appearance in the glass. The flavor for German Hefeweizen is primarily based on the flavor of the very specialized Hefeweizen yeast, so be sure to select one of these strains for fermentation. Just be ready for a vigorous fermentation! This beer is known to pop off airlocks if there isn't enough room in the fermenter. This is a true German-style Hefeweizen recipe using 60% White Wheat malt and 40% 2-Row malt. A dash of Northern Brewer hops provides just enough bitterness to balance the malt and yeast character. Despite the simple recipe, this is one of our most popular ingredient kits. Our German Hefeweizen is a customer favorite that has brought home many ribbons.
If you want to put a little spin on this recipe, add 8 oz of Caramunich and 4 oz of Chocolate malt to make a Dunkelweizen!

If you want a beer that tastes like it came straight from a tropical paradise, BRU-1 is the obvious choice. Developed through open pollination at Brulotte Farms in Toppenish, Washingthon, this new hop varietal is absolutely bursting with the sweet, fruity aroma of pineapple. It works well on its own for single hop beers, providing plenty of alpha acids up front in the boil and contributing complex flavors of pineapple, pear, apple and fresh cut grass when used for whirlpool and dry hop additions. It also plays well with other hops to create a depth of fruit flavor and comes highly recommended for Pale Ales, IPAs, Hazys, IPLs, and wheat ales.

The Fermonster Fermenter - A Huge Upgrade Over Standard Buckets or Glass "Carboy" Water Bottles
Unlike buckets or glass carboys, the Fermonster fermenter was designed for brewing beer. It is made from tough, clear, virgin grade PET plastic so you can see the magic of fermentation. Unlike glass it will never break and shatter if dropped. It represents a huge upgrade over traditional buckets because these fermenters are much less likely to get scratched. Scratches can hold bacteria that can cause off flavors in the beer. The Fermonster comes with a built-in spigot that eliminates a long time issue in homebrewing of having to start a siphon to transfer your beer to the bottling bucket after fermentation is over. The large 4" lid allows for easily adding yeast, hops, or other additions. We also really love the molded-in level markers that tell you exactly when you have reached your desired volume.
Five Gallon Stainless Kettle - It's Bigger Than What You Have in Your Kitchen
Over the years we found that many brewers thought they had a big enough kettle. They would go home only to return and buy our five gallon stainless steel brewing kettle. To make brewing easy, we've discounted our five gallon brewing kettle to be able to include it from the start! Plus, because it is made of food-grade stainless steel, you don’t have to worry about any off flavors imparted by your boil kettle.
We Don't Skimp on Cleaning and Sanitizing
Proper cleaning and sanitizing is one of the core tenants of making great beer. Some starter kits utilize an all-in-one cleaner/sanitizer that does neither job well. We’ve included the best-selling sanitizer for brewing, Star San. We also include Craftmeister oxygen-based cleaning tablets that make cleaning your Fermonster Fermenter a breeze.
Other Upgrades That Make Brewing Easier
We’ve also made a few items standard that really make the brew day easier including a thermometer for temperature monitoring and a hydrometer with testing jar for measuring sugar levels. Our reusable mesh bags allow for the easy removal of spent grain and hops at the end of the boil. The included stainless spoon is a really nice upgrade over plastic when you are stirring boiling liquids.
Easy, How-To Instructions & an Actual 800#
We've taught hundreds of thousands of people how to brew in over 25 years. Our instructions are clear and simple to follow and will have you making great beer with batch number one. If you have any questions, call our on-staff brewmasters at 1-800-600-0033. In an age where 800-numbers and real customer service is going away, you can still call us and ask a question.
Recipe Options:
American Ale produces a light colored, hoppy Pale Ale that puts the beloved Cascade hop on full display. Cascade hops are one of the classic American hop varieties, and we love them for their citrus, grapefruit character.
Irish Red Ale is a genre-defying brew that continues to be one of our best-selling kits year after year. You'll love the deep, red color and distinct caramel flavor.
I Heart IPA was inspired by Bell's Two Hearted Ale, a universally adored IPA that features front-to-back hop additions of Centennial. Malt character takes a back seat to the pungent quality of citrus and lemon notes.
German Hefeweizen has a lovely blond color and distinct hazy appearance in the glass. This kit uses 100% Bavarian Wheat malt extract with just a dash of Northern Brewer hops for bittering.

Fermonster Carboy - 6 gal. With Spigot:
The Ported Fermonster is a brand-new fermenter designed specifically for fermentation. MoreBeer! gave product feedback for over 2 years of development and we think they nailed the design. The large lid allows for easy filling and makes hop or oak additions a breeze. The smooth sides are fantastic for sanitization - no ribs or texture to collect yeast or bacteria. The punted bottom allows sediment to collect to the sides so that you can siphon liquid from the center. Because they are made from virgin PET plastic, they're nearly unbreakable and a lot safer than similar glass carboys. Also notice the conical top which reduces surface area if you plan to store beer or wine long term.
Five Gallon Stainless Steel Kettle:
Made of high-quality stainless steel that is anything but cheap. The 0.5-mm thick sides and bottom are more than thick enough for this amount of liquid, and the riveted stainless steel handles on the kettle’s body make it easy to carry, even when filled. This 5-gallon kettle can safely hold up to 3 gallons of wort while boiling, making it the perfect size for brewing right in your own home!

PurePitch® Next Generation—now with more yeast, get a foolproof fermentation without a starter! Just twist the cap & pitch! Why PurePitch Next Gen versus other options? Typically yeast manufacturers use a range for how many yeast cells are going into each package. This can vary widely, especially from strain to strain. Next Gen offers a far more precise cell count across all strains allowing you to use the Whitelabs exclusive pitch calculator. Simply scan the barcode on the back of each package to be taken to their online calculator. Enter the volume, strength, and pitching temperature of the wort you are fermenting and the calculator tells you exactly how much yeast to pitch. You will be fermenting like a professional brewer, using the same concentration of yeast every time and enjoying more consistent results. Don't need a full package? Put the lid back on and store in the refrigerator for your next batch. Whitelabs has also increased the viability (the number of living cells in the package) over the shelf life of the yeast. Next Gen strains are grown in their unique, small-batch reactors to assure freshness and then packaged in a special film that allows for off-gassing, assuring that their viability is absolutely industry leading.

T-90 Hop Pellets
This wildly popular dual purpose hop has been becoming more and more prevalent in the modern beer scene ever since it was originally released back in 2000 by Yakima Chief Ranches. Simcoe® is now a favorite among craft brewers and homebrewers alike for its versatility and delicious flavors of citrus, pine, and passion fruit character. High alpha acid content allows it to be used as the main bittering base, while its high oil content makes it an impressive aroma addition when added late in the boil, during whirlpool, or as dry hops during or after fermentation. Simcoe® has a smooth bitterness met with aromas of earth, citrus, and cannabis. Use liberally in just about any style, including Pale Ales, IPAs, Wheats, Saisons, Ambers, and especially hop-forward Hazy IPAs or Hoppy Lagers.

Add to your grain bill for improved body, stable haze formation, and superior foam retention
The malt's low color ensures it can be incorporated into even the palest brews without affecting the final hue
Use as up to 10% of your grain bill
Rahr Dextrin Malt is a versatile ingredient designed to significantly enhance various beer characteristics. Its lower modification and higher protein content contribute to improved body, stable haze formation, and superior foam retention, making it a valuable addition for a wide range of beer styles. The malt's low color ensures it can be incorporated into even the palest brews without affecting the final hue.
Brewers aiming for a stable haze in their hazy IPAs can utilize Rahr Dextrin Malt at inclusion rates up to 10% without impacting beer color. Beyond haze, its addition to the mashbill boosts foam stability, viscosity, and overall body. For those who typically use chit malt for head retention and mouthfeel, Rahr Dextrin Malt offers a domestic alternative with comparable benefits. Depending on the inclusion rate, brewers may also note subtle bready, grainy, and raw barley flavors in the finished product.

1.7-2.0 °L - Viking Malt - Pils is a traditional European Pilsner malt with a delicate malt sweetness that gives your lagers that extra something special. Viking Pils is the perfect base for all lagers and essential for Pilsners, Helles, Marzen, Bock, Vienna Lager, etc.
When your making light lagers most brewers want the pils base malt to provide a bit of maltiness. It can be the difference between boring beer and amazing beer. We have gotten great feedback from pro brewers and many have switched to Viking after trying it.
We also have several craft breweries using this malt for the commercial production of light colored Pales, IPA's, and Hazys. When compared to our Viking Xtra Pale the flavor of the Pils malt is just a bit lighter. Some brewers love this for their really light colored ales that are bursting with hop flavors.
Viking Malt is one of the largest malting companies in the world and the largest roaster of specialty malts. They are the main malt supplier to the famous Carlsberg brewery. Viking is not well known in the USA because they haven't had good US distribution. Because MoreBeer! and MoreBeer! Pro is directly importing thousands of tons of malt we are stoked to offer you Northern European malt quality from one of the best malting companies in the world at lower than domestic malt pricing.
Viking Malt has 6 malthouses in areas where distinctive Nordic barley are sourced: in Halmstad, Sweden; Vordingborg, Denmark; Lahti, Finland; Panevezys, Lithuania and in Sierpc and Strzegom, Poland. The advantage of northern European malt is lower protein levels, good kernel size, and less amount of pesticides used due to the cold winters.

Northern IPA
The Northern IPA utilizes a high attenuation ale strain fermented at cooler temperatures to achieve a flavor profile that clean, crisp and dry. Compared to WCIPA or New England IPAs, the Northern IPA presents as dryer and more drinkable with the low specialty malt usage. The resulting beer character should be refreshing.
Malt profiles should be stripped back, with dominantly pale base malts to be sued, and avoiding high-kilned specialty malts altogether. Hop profile tends towards the juicy sweetness and biotransformation character of hazy IPAs, but to finish with a firm bitterness. May use hops from any origin but should showcase modern and hop=-forward hop characteristics not seen in traditional styles.
Overall impression to be a well-integrated hop-forward IPA style with clean but present yeast character which elevates with modern varietals.
See below for the Northern IPA style guidelines.

Derived from T-90 Simcoe® pellet hops to perfectly replicate the aroma profile while omitting undesirable compounds found in hop vegetal matter
Flavor/Aroma: Tropical, Dank, Pine
The perfect hop: Using 100% hop-derived terpenes, Abstrax builds exact profiles to match the flavor and aroma of an exemplary lot of Simcoe® hops
Consistent results every time. Eliminates the variance of using hops that may differ by age, crop year, storage conditions, growing region, processing method or farm
Replace pellet hops: 5mL is equal to roughly 5.5 oz of pellet hops, while 1 oz of Quantum is equal to 2 lbs of pellet hops
Simcoe® Quantum Brite
One of the first truly tropical-forward varieties, Simcoe® defines the balanced catty/blackcurrant and tropical fruit notes so sought after in early West Coast IPAs on through today’s Hazys and Milkshake IPAs.
Optimized Hop Extracts
Compared to other hop-extracts, the Quantum Series tastes better, performs better, and is easier to use. It works with everything from Pils to Porters with no special handling required. Easily flowable at cool, ambient, and warm temperatures. Gone are the days of warming up your extract or scrubbing the sticky gunk out of your equipment.
Compared to hops and pellets, the Quantum Series offers a 100% utilization rate and can be used at any stage of the brewing process. It cuts down on shipping and storage costs by an order of magnitude, not to mention the labor savings from not having to lug boxes around.
Quantum Tastes Better
The Quantum Series is an evolutionary leap forward in aroma and brewing technology. When you get down to it, nobody wants to use an extract product that makes their beer taste worse off. Extracts have taken a bad rap because they can often add more problems than they solve and, frankly, they don’t always taste the greatest. Abstrax gets it. That’s why, above all else, flavor and aroma come first with Quantum.
Dosage
Consider 1mL of Quantum Brite the flavor/aroma equivalent of 1 oz of T-90 pellet hops. Add after fermentation is complete, ideally at the coldest and latest point in your process, in your fermenter, keg, or bottling bucket. Or even add a drop or two to spike your finished beer in the glass.
Features:
100% efficient flavor/aroma transfer
Consistent from batch to batch
No yield loss from absorption
Quantum will not affect IBU test results and cannot cause lightstruck off-flavors
Zero Undesirable Plant Compounds
No Lipids
No Chlorophyll
Recommended storage: 40-90°F. Do not freeze.

Put the lid back on and store in the refrigerator for your next batch! WLP06 London Fog is the perfect yeast for all you "Haze Heads". This strain produces a medium-ester profile akin to White Lab's East Coast Ale Yeast (WLP008) and leaves a hint of residual sweetness, helping to accentuate malt and hop flavors and aromas. Pitch this strain to your favorite New England-style IPA. Attenuation: 75-82% Flocculation: Low to Medium Alcohol Tolerance: 5-10% ABV Optimum Fermentation Temp: 64-72°F Cell Count: 150 Billion For best results we always recommend ordering an ice pack with your liquid yeast.
All the parts and seals you need to rebuild a keg in one convenient kit!
Includes Low2 Keg Lid O-rings that offer superior defense from oxygen ingress compared to silicone or EPDM rings
Never fear gasket failures when you go to fill your ball lock keg—this first aid kit has everything you could possibly need
Comes in a convenient, well-organized tackle box tray so you never need to go searching for that tiny replacement O-ring
Also includes tailpiece gaskets for keg couplers or draft shanks and nylon washers for KOMOS CO2 Regulators
$100 value! Save money by not purchasing all of these parts individually
The KOMOS First Aid Kit comes with all the parts needed to fully rebuild a ball lock keg and more! Don't wait for gaskets to wear down and start leaking before buying a replacement—keep this replacement part kit on hand and be ready for any situation. It's only a matter of time before keg seals fail, and when that time comes, the last thing you want to do is comb through a drawer of random gaskets for that tiny, little lifesaver. Having all your gaskets in one convenient tackle box will give you the peace of mind that you'll always be able to get your keg back in working order in no time flat.
Low2 O-rings are cutting edge blend of plastic material (Synthetic M-Class and Cross-Linked Elastomers) that provide the best protection against oxygen ingress ever seen on the homebrew market. Even in a fully pressurized, sealed keg, it's possible for oxygen to dissolve in through the gap where the keg lid and O-ring form a seal. This tiny amount of oxygen ingress over time will eventually affect all beers, but is especially detrimental to highly oxygen-sensitive beers like Hazy IPAs.
In addition to ball lock keg parts, tailpiece gaskets for draft shanks or keg couplers and regulator nylon washers for KOMOS CO2 Regulators are also included.
The Ball Lock Keg First Aid Kit also represents an incredible value and will save you a ton of money in the long run. Buying all of the parts in this kit individually would run you upwards of $100, but you can get them all in one purchase at a fraction of that price.
