It’s good yeast but it’s very hard to get it delivered in good condition this time of year. Unless you can get it (in an insulated bag with ice packs) over night, it will start to grow and is then really hard to revive in my experience.

Perfect for pitching without a starter for an OG of 1.045. Ideal for higher temp range.

This yeast always been very productive for the California Common is used for. Forms a nice krausen and clean flavor.

I highly recommend this yeast for brewing California Common. It takes off vigorously and gives a nice crisp finish. An Uncommon Common brewed with this yeast at a near steady 68 degF recently took 3rd place at a regional home-brew competition.

You can brew a real lager with this yeast without the extra pitching rate necessary when you ferment at cooler temps. Makes brewing cleaner beers easier.

I used this as an addition to a slow lager fermentation and it seemed to work very well - finished off the ferment and dropped out the previous pitch of (different) yeast to leave a clean clear lager

Very good for Cali Common beer or Baltic Porters.
