Filling growlers straight from the tap is tough task, and you're more than likely to lose most of the beer's carbonation in the process. By running a short line of 3/8" tubing from the growler filler to the bottom of your growler, the beer can flow gently into the vessel and fill from the bottom up. Be sure to use the flow control knob to slow down the flow rate. If you're using the standard faucet, you may want to turn down the PSI on your regulator before filling.
