27 years home brewing and finally decided to get a hop strainer. The strainer will sit flat on the bottom of my 10 gallon kettle when I am doing 6 gallon batches. The strainer fits inside my immersion wort chiller which is great for flame out hop additions. Will use the adjustable hook when I use my larger kettle for 10 gallon batches. Morebeer has great customer service.

My first time using this with the hop addition to the boil and also to filter the transfer to the fermenter. Worked perfectly, look forward to tasting the results.

This spider is coarse enough to allow wort to flow through it, and fine enough to filter the hop particles. Well designed. The adjustable arm is a nice feature. Highly recommended.

Works great. Easy to adjust when needed. Filters out the hops well. Worth the money.

I'm not really sure what the micron size on this thing is, but it seems to be too small for hop pellets. I stopped using it after a few batches because the mesh clogs up, preventing wort from flowing through it. The wort inside the filter is also typically a couple degrees below boiling. The mount for the adjustable hook is also incredibly flimsy.On the plus, it is nice and big, but still fits inside of my jaded chiller. So, it is not a total bust. If only liquid flowed through it better, it would be the perfect hop spider.
