I was intending to use this instead of keg lube, but didn't realize it doesn't provide any residual coating that helps to seal. It may provide lubrication, yet no tangible "gel" to provide assistance with sealing O-rings, connectors, etc. In any event it seems rather pricey - especially without the desired sealing characteristic.
Works great easy to apply
Perfect when you need a good deal on kegging and applications.
A very good buy I have a lot of use for it.
Works exactly as advertised
I've been using this for 5 years and I still have goo on some of my fittings leftover from keg lube.
I have used tis to lube sticky keg poppets that leaked , it sealed them! It is also helpful on threaded parts that seize from heat.
Great to keep my ball lock quick disconnects from sticking.
I've used this product for many things in my brewery from quick disconnects to threaded connectors, etc. Excellent product.
I highly recommend using this on all your keg O-rings and gaskets. Use to have little problems with leaks & reassembling kegs, but with the silicone everything goes together much easier seats better and no more pesky leaks.
If your having a hard time getting your corny kegs to seal and hold C02, try some Silicone Spray. It works great. Save you some trouble shooting if your corny kegs are older and used.
How easy it is to clean? I stopped using keg lube just because it's nearly impossible to clean so is this any better in terms of cleaning?
It is a nice clear spray lubricant as opposed to the white goopy stuff in a tube. I have used it on all of my keg gaskets and connections. It is very clean and easy to use.
The spray goes on easily and helps soften keg gaskets and maintain their flexibility. It wipes off easily and gaskets can be cleaned in soapy water or PBW before they are reused (and re-sprayed).
I've never had ANY problem cleaning this from the areas that I use it on. I generally use it on the inside of my keg poppets on my keg seals and on my fermenter exhaust outlet tube where I attach silicone tubing. It is VERY light. You'd almost not know it's there.
It sticks pretty Good to the surfaces Little tough to clean But with some scrubbing it comes off.
No problem to clean
