This air lock is good if you're fermenting without temperature control. I bought this for the Speidel 100L jacketed fermenter and it works fine during a strong ferment. Once the fermentation slows down and the glycol starts dropping the temperature, the air lock starts sucking in air.If you're venting a carboy, this is a good quality air lock. If you're running temp control, use a hose with a bucket or jug.

I prefer this airlock over the typical 3-piece plastic airlocks. It's only 2 pieces, but just as effective and easy to clean. Better design concept overall. Sturdy too. Bought this as a backup - but my original is still 100% in tact, so this one is just waiting for it's moment to shine .

This is just for the two piece airlock set, doesnt include the red stopper. Nice airlock, works with no flaws.
