This mash recirculation manifold is awesome! Only wish is that the barber fitting was interchangeable but I made it work and couldn't be happier. 4 stars only because of the fitting. Definitely recommend it and to be honest this is not the first product I've bought from here and it wont be the last. Very happy with quality also.

Even distribution. Consider how to suspend it above gains. I fashioned some hooks to hang over the sides of my mash tun. Don't set on top of grains or it'll sink. Don't forget hose clamps!

I read all the reviews before I purchased this thing, and after using it the first time I realized that all the people that had problems with it, just didn't know how to correctly use it.I've had no problems using it, I have used it more than 20 times now. I think that the people that had problems using it, had some type of back floe issue, and that can only happen when you are screwing up your process. You have to keep it on top of the grain bed.

I give this 4 stars because I think it's fair. It works. Not sure if it is the best thing but it did flow water. The water to hole flow ratio must be worked out.

I bought this to use in my 65L Brewzilla. I had totally forgotten about the overflow tube in the mash pipe, so it will not work with it. BUMMER. Decided to give it to my nephew, who uses an Igloo cooler to mash, and he is excited. He has been wanting to do recirc mash for a while, and this will let him step to the next level.

Works great. Nice and even wort distribution and enough outlets to prevent disturbing the grain bed with my Riptide pump. Just be sure to varlauf prior to using or it will get clogged with chunky grain bits. Blast it out with a high pressure garden hose and recirculate with PBW to clean.

The theory seems great. But in operation, the manifold has plugged more often than not, despite the perforated false bottom that sits on the bottom of my mash tun. The manifold also sinks deeply into the mash. The plugging problem could be solved with an inline filter between mash tun outlet and the pump, and the sinking by suspending the manifold from above. Still seems promising, but be prepared for additional tinkering.

This seems to be a nice addition to my HERMS system. I like the way it dispenses the circulating wort evenly over the top of the grains.

The SS manifold worked well during my last mash/lauter. I used it for both recirculating and sparging in a 10 gallon Igloo mash tun. The manifold fit well in the mash tun and was easy to clean afterwards.

I have used this on 4 batches so far and it has performed great each time. For years I was using the fighter jet cone thing while fly sparging and recirculating which caused a lot of foam and could never really position it well over the center of the mash. It worked but had to be monitored to make sure I wasn't getting a stuck sparge or cutting into the grain bed. Each experience I have had with the ss manifold has been much simpler and it's more of a set it and forget it. At the last 15 minutes of the mash I start to recirculate to set the grain bed and clear the wort and it has been flawless.

This product has exceeded my expectations.

Used this on our last batch instead of an open hose. It created a very even, circular flow across the top of the grain bed. The OG came out to 1.068 instead of the usual 1.061. I'd have to attribute it to this device, as it was the only change we made to our process in a standard recipe.The only thing I would change is have a female NPT in the center so you can use the fitting of your choice, instead of the welded straight hose barbIf it is getting plugged up with grains, you should look at your equipment and process. Perhaps the false bottom or other filtering is inadequate, too much water in the mash or not enough flow and it tends to sink. We got some grains in it, but it was far from getting plugged up.

Hose barb is a little small I had to cut it off and weld on a stainless barb for 1/2"ID hose.

Works perfectly in a HERMS set up and DC pump application at wide open throttle. Stronger pumps may need a feathered control with outlet valve (to control grain bed compaction).

Works awesome, distributing the flow around. Now I just need to make a spare arm to clamp to the side of the kettle.

I bought this to recirculate my mash tun The manifold sinks in the mash and the holes get plugged. Also even with a pump attached there is little flow and it very uneven.

I'm very happy with this purchase. Offers a consistent and even distribution on sparge water. Best I've used!

Holes get clogged with grain during vorlauf. Takes some time to get all of the holes cleared, then it seems to work fine.
