This water test kit is exceptional. I’m excited to take my home brewing to the next level and everything I need is included in this kit.

Testing our water was more of a curiosity than necessity and this kit made it easy. I liked the addition of the pH meter. Once the tests were complete, it was interesting to compare and validate results against local water provider's annual report (as well as results from other communities uploaded to brew sites). It is handy to now be able to plug results into online brewing calculators.Though the same thing could have been accomplished at a lower cost by sending a water sample to a lab, I have to admit, it was fun to do the analysis myself. In the end, this helped me to baseline our water and also maybe understand just a little better, water chemistry as it relates to brewing.

Very good kit to find out your water profile. I use my well water and found out exactly what I needed to add to match Certain beer style water profiles.

A must for any brewer who want to step up. The ph meter is pretty nice too. And a big bravo to lamotte for the instructions in french ( that is pretty rare in the brewing work)

The kit is well-packaged and bottles are sealed. It includes ample tablets and solutions to last for dozens of uses. Perfect for me who moves frequently and brews about 4 times a year. The manuals were a bit rubbed and a cover was torn (like it may have been reused or possibly caught in the zipper on the case). The pH meter arrived completely dry. The electrode sponge was bone dry. I was concerned that the electrode would work reliably. After calibration, the readings were a bit sporadic and it took at least 30 seconds to settle on a pH value. The readings were in the ballpark (+/- 0.25) but not as accurate as it should be for a $100 pH meter. However, the next day I recalibrated, and it worked much better (faster convergence to a reading). So today I took this into the university chemistry laboratory where I work and validated the readings with another instrument and several buffers (4, 7, 10 pH +/- 0.02). It worked fine. So I’m happy with this kit, but beware of the pH probe if it dry. Soak it for a day or two before making measurements.

This kit is really well put together, everything has its place and is clearly labeled. The instructions are simple and guide you through the tests step by step. I was wondering if I'd have difficulty determining when the colors changed, but it's pretty obvious.

The test kit overall is decent. It does what it is suppose to and the directions are pretty clear. The sulfate test is VERY subjective and in my opinion doesn't really work. Although, maybe my sulfates are just that low. So, the kit lost a star for that reason. That being said, I opted the the kit with the pH meter. My meter was defective and MOREBEER worked with the vendor to obtain me a replacement quickly and easily!!!!

This works great. Easy to test. I have well water so mineral content can fluctuate. This is easy enough to test before each brew day. I got the set that comes with the PH meter. The meter is much better than the cheaper one I used to have. The probe is replaceable so you don’t have to buy a new meter when the probe goes and it will. Very simple instructions for the water testing and the ph meter.

Instructions included on how to complete all tests and does all the tests necessary.

Does what it's suppose to do. Wish this either came with more ph tablets or ph calibration solution.

Simple to use. Instructions are also simple, however, I would have appreciated more info on the units of the results and how to convert them to use with different brewing software. For example, Beersmith does not take the test values in CaCo3.Another confusing thing was according to instructions, during alkalinity test, the solution should turn green at first, but instead, it turned blue, so that made me doubt whether the solution in the container was the correct one.

I know, it's a bit pricey. But demystifying your water will make your beer go from good to great. This is a very useful kit. Very worth the cost.

I was skeptical that all this "chemistry lab stuff" would be a real hassle, but it wasn't. Process was simple, didn't require any lab skills per se, and gave me confidence in the results. I was thinking it would be something crude like comparing a color tone like pH strips. But it's very specific and obvious color changes you see. You count the number of drops and then multiply by a scaling factor and you have your mineral content. It's great knowing it's designed specifically for brewing.

Feel like an uber beer nerd with this at home water test kit! Absolutely wonderful product, takes out a lot of the guess work, and improves your homebrew quality! Absolutely love this product!

I've been curious about what my city water comes out to and is it good for my beer. The LaMotte test kit proved to me that my city water is good to use. Of course I'm still learning on what adjustments I need to make based on the style of beers I'm making, but that'll come in time once I get to reading John Palmers book on Water. But the LaMotte kit has great instructions on how to test for the different elements in your sample water. They also provide methods to convert some of the measurements to apply towards online brewing calculators. This is very helpful. I feel a lot better knowing more about my brewing water.

The LaMotte BrewLab Plus water test kit was the missing element in my brewing arsenal. I had been relying on my municipal water report however I found that my water changed throughout the year especially during the summer months when municipal water treatments changed to address summer algae. The test kit takes the guesswork out of the equation and give you fast reliable results to base your water adjustments on. The instructions for each test are easy to follow. I would highly recommend the kit to a friend or any fellow home-brewer who is interested in tinkering with water chemistry.

Very good test kit. All the needed parameters for water analisys

This is exactly what I needed to up my brewing game. All the essential pieces to test and in turn know what to adjust in my future brews!

My only concern with this is there are not many PH Buffer tablets in the kit. Which More Beer carried additional tablets.

I'm glad I purchased this kit it's a great way to bring your brewing to the next level
