This piece of equipment is the perfect companion for the GF conical. Being able to pressure transfer has made a big difference in my lagers.

If your set-up is not exactly as Grainfather envisions it, you will find yourself searching for parts to make it work. The red pressure tube is much smaller than a normal gas line thus necessitating the need for an extra part. The part was only $3.50 and a trip, but you should be able to configure your purchase to your system. By the way, my system is probably like 90% of the U. S.systems out there so why the product was made this way beats me. Perhaps it is a metric thing? Anyway, be prepared for an irritating problem, albeit one with a simple solution.Now that it is fixed, the problem is solved. If this solution was made available at ordering, I would have given it a 5.

I do recommend it for Grainfather fermenter owners, however there are some issues you should be aware of:1. The gas hose is only 3/16" ID, but you can pick up adapters at hardware store or online. I bought a 1/4" MPT x 3/16 barb.2. The pressure gauge is too close to the clamp making it difficult to install, every time. 3. The pressure gauge turns off automatically after a couple minutes, I'd prefer a 10minute auto-off instead, which is about as long as it takes to empty a 5 gal batch using 1 # gas.4. Wish it came with a 2# PRV so I don't have to worry about over pressurizing the fermenter.
