I set mine at .032" ("credit card thickness") with feeler gauges and it makes a bit of flour with 2 row. I imagine that since it can be adjusted tighter finely crushed flour can be achieved.

I don’t believe so at leadt on one pass. maybe with some modifications perhaps.

You could run the grains thru multiple times but I don't think you could get it as fine a grind as flour.

i have never ground anything that fine (flour). i use the mill to grind corn and i grind i down to a coarse corn meal. i also use it to grind malted grain. it works great and meets all my expectations. can't be beat for the price.

I would say no because I don't think it would get the husks of the grain as fine as flour. I don't think this was meant to finely crush grain.

This mill is limited to a fine crush. Had to initially fiddle with the adjustment to widest setting just to pull the whole grains into the grinders. You could likely make a second run thru mill at a tighter setting to get very fine.

I have the gap on mine moderately set for cracked corn. If I run the corn thru the mill twice it turns roughly half of it into corn flower. So I'd say depending on what you're running and how tight you set the rollers you could get a really fine flour. Chuck a cordless drill on the shaft and let it eat!

I'm still searching for the correct numbers but I can tell you when brewing with a Spike Solo 20g system 0.032" and 0.035" result in stuck mashes. This was with mostly 2-row and a little bit of oats and wheat.

It depends on how fine you want to mill your grain. I mill cracked corn and run it thru twice with the gap moderately set.

I do BIAB and use a finer crush than the tiered systems. So the correct setting would depend on what and how your brewing

I'd start at 0.05 and crush about a cup or so to visually see how it looks then adjust as you go. Right now I have mine set to about 0.0625 and I get ~75 % efficiency with Victory 2-row but I do have to recirculate quite a lot.

It depends on your mash tun false bottom. I use a .038 inch setting.

You can't rely on the settings and you will need to observe the runnout between the two rollers. If the runnout exists you will need to return the device like I did. It turns out that I in fact returned mine and traded upwards to a 3 roller device. If you don't observe runnout then you can just measure the distance between the 2 rollers to about .056" with a feeler gauge.

I always crush using the same setting. I use a credit card to slide in between the rollers and make sure it is pretty tight but not pinching the card. Make sure each side of the rollers is adjusted and equal. Should be good to go then.

Yes the Base is included... Great Mill... since I purchased mine it has increased my efficiency with the batches I have made... most likely because I’m able to get the crush I want and it’s fresher I grind just before I brew to make sure I retain the most sugar
