Duotight Push-In Fitting - 9.5 mm (3/8 in.) Plug

    Description

    This Duotight plug is used to block up your 9.5 mm (3/8") tees, elbows or other fittings for gas leak testing or simply to plug an unused section.

    Features:
    • Insert plug and firmly push to connect
    • Release plug by pushing in the collet on the Duotight fitting
    • Suitable for both gas & beverage applications
    • Made from food-grade acetal plastic
    • Temperature rated to 212°F (100°C)
       

    Please note: exposure to chlorine will degrade the acetal plastic and stainless steel these fittings are made from. Do not use in contact with bleach or other chlorinated cleaning chemicals.

        If I use these to plug the Duotight fittings for the Temp Twister will it still hold pressure for fermenting?

        Yes. First these are duotight plugs so the o-ring in the fitting will seal against it fine. Second the temp twister is installed "permanently" in the cap so there is no need to plug anything even if you are not currently cooling with the 'twister. The cap goes on when the wort and yeast are added and stays there until you are ready to clean the fermenter. I can't seem to attach a photo here but my cap has 5 fittings: PRV two for temp twister Gas in Beer out (the pressure kit is installed.)
