The outer thread on these are pretty aggressive next time I'd go with a 5/8" drilled hole. My 1/2" (largest in a home bit set) were straight enough but once the first half of a thread caught purchase the whole piece cocked to the side. I should have reset it that's on me. I'm happy they weren't so aggressive that they split my mahogany. Similar to a 2013 review two of my three notches sheared off and I couldn't get these lined up with the icons correctly so I'll need to attempt to undo those and pick up another couple. Anyways they got the job done for now. Very sloppy (cocked to the side not lined up properly brass thread still showing) but done.
Works great. You can make your own tap handles. I used JB weld to secure it to the handle which was plastic

I bought a bunch of these from a Chinese part retailer a while back. These are much superior to those. Nice machining. Actual parts are nicer than the image shows.
This product definitely performs as advertised, but if you're not really good about drilling a well-centered, straight hole, well...it's not going to stand up straight on the faucet. Someone with more experience is going to get a better result.
Bought 4 of these to make tap handles for my keezer. Drilled a half inch hole and used a 3/8-16 bolt with a nut to drive the insert into the wood with no issues. The only problem I had is that my brother in law liked my tap handles so much I had to give him one. I had to buy more of these inserts to make more tap handles.
Used these to make custom handles from NHL Lightning pucks for my TB Lightning keezer. Other that drilling the pucks, these things work perfect.
I've picked up a number of these to make custom tap handles from a variety of items. Use a 1/2" spade drill bit on the base of a wood carving or resin sculpture. Screw in the dual-threaded insert with a bottle opener and voila, bad a** tap handle!
