The first year I harvested just under a pound of dry hops. This year they are established and doing very well. I am building a taller structure for them to reach the sky this year and hopefully increase my yield.

Hops started sprouting within three days and are growing! I built a trellis for the hop plants. Gonna wait until they are at least 6 inches tall before I plant them and start training them.

Took a couple tries to get the hop strain that would with my location but I have two that are 5 years old.

Arrived at the perfect time! This kit had everything I needed. The hops are are already popping up out of the planters.

So far so good. 4 out of the 5 rhizome species started growing in less than one week after planting. That’s better results than I expected. My fingers are crossed on the 5th one (Cascade).

As soon as we got the kit we put the Rhyzomes in the ground and within a couple days they all popped up. It's been fun to check on them every day and see how quickly they're growing. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to grow some hops.

How to make pellets from fresh hops?
I use a dehydrator to dry the hops. Then I freeze them until I am ready to use them. I put the holding a cheese cloth bag just like pellets.
Sorry I use them as flowers. Have no idea how to pelletize

I have a medium size greenhouse about 1200 sq ft. Is it possible to grow hops in a green house?
Hi Andy - As long as your roof is tall enough because they need lots of room for vertical growth they grow about 1ft per day. Henry VIII referred to them as a "wicked weed" which indicated to me that they are very invasive and their tendrils will reach out for anything and choke without mercy. So just make sure they're in their own location and won't bother any of your other crops and as long as they have the proper environmental factors (light water nutrients) they will thrive in your greenhouse.
