        American Classic

Combined with Mosaic it is wonderful. I will FWH with this and will dry hop. Typically I use 4 oz per 5 gal when dry hopping. Combine with an English yeast strain and you have a winning combination

        Great aroma hops

Used a bunch to backload an American pale ale. Wanted citrus aroma and flavors. In the fermenter now, awaiting final results.

        Love this hop

I have been brewing since the 1990s, brewed with almost every hop out there. Citra is my favourite by far. I specialize in 3-3.5% alcohol ales and Citra works great here. I dry hop for 24 hours using the pellet form, using Co2 bursts to get as much surface contact exposure as possible. Then I clarify using Silafine (MoreBeer) and pour my first pint in under 48 hrs after dry hopping. Sure the flavour is intense, but it is what I was wanting. 60 grams per 60 liters. Over the next week it balances out each day, the longer the aging the more refined the flavour, but we love experiencing the flavour change each day. Well worth the extra cost in my opinion. And you can always count on MoreBeer to deliver, I love this company, great people.I wasn't paid for the review, I just really like MoreBeer

        Nice Hops and Packaging

I like the hops carried by MoreBeer. They make great beer. I like the heavier resealable hop packages better than some other suppliers use.

        Delicious citrus and melon flavors

My first time using this hops in my favorite pale ale recipe. Rather than using the usual WLP001 Cal Ale yeast I opted for the WLP051 Cal Ale V yeast which was a dynamite combo. I got great sweet lime/grapefruit and melon flavor upfront that still finished dry with fruity hops aftertaste. The initial bouquet aroma coming off the head from a freshly poured pint is just heavenly and full of floral, fruity ambrosia. For reference here is my Citra Pale Ale recipe: 8lbs Ultralight LME, 8oz Crystal 20, 8oz Crystal 40, 8oz Victory Malt, 8oz Munich Malt. 1oz Magnum @ 60, 2oz Citra @ 5, 1oz Citra @ 1, 1oz Citra - Dry hop.

        Always Good Quality from MoreBeer

I'm a casual brewer, 5 & 10 gal batches. I buy hops by the pound for the $ savings, but use by the ounce. I've stored hops purchased from MoreBeer up to a year in the fridge before finishing a package and have not yet had a package go bad, both pellet and leaf hops.

Love this hop, not a big fan of the packaging

I love citra hops! I throw close to 9 ounces in my American pale between boil and dry hop additions. This was my first time ordering hops from morebeer. I have to say the packaging left something to be desired. Neither of the two 8oz packages I received were vacuum sealed. In addition: both packages contained a large amount of crushed hop pellets. The hops still smelled great and, I'm waiting on a beer fermenting with these in my primary. I would estimate that 20-30% of each package was mostly hop dust. I love morebeer but, was a bit disappointed with these hops (primarily the packaging/handling).

A must have in the portfolio of American IPA brewers

A nice citrus nose and very pleasant. Can be used for both aroma, bittering, and dry hopping. I like to use Nugget hops for my 60 minute addition and at 30 minutes begin adding citra in 10 minute intervals.

        My Favorite

Hands down. One of the few hops with the complex flavor profile worth of a single-hop IPA.A 50/50 blend of Citra and Simcoe in an IPA is heavenly.
