Butterfly Hose Clamp - 1/2 in.

    Description

    Functions the same as a standard Hose Clamp, however rather than needing to find a screwdriver (or dime!) for every adjustment you can easily tighten by hand.

    As an added bonus, this also has a significantly smoother inside to the clamp, which will not tear up your tubing nearly as much as a standard hose clamp!  Ideal for situations where you need to remove tubing from fittings to sanitize.

    Please note, as the reviews will also tell you, this is a clamp that will fit 1/2" OD tubing. If you are looking for a clamp for 1/2" ID (with 3/4" OD) choose the H955 clamp.

        Handy and easy to use, however...

        These are great to use, especially if you only have one had free to tighten them. The only downside is that the inner screw will rust over time. Used this extensively last year (2017) and now they are rusted in that area. Still work, just wondering how much longer they will hold a tight seal.

        Convenient in the right applications

        I have a couple of these clamps and they are handy at times. Good for tightening down the siphon hose around a ss racking cane. But these clamps don't seem to tighten evenly, especially when trying to clamp on smaller tubing. For example when I racked into my keg, I clamp the hosing to the liquid disconnect I had lots of leakage no matter how hard I fastened. I had to revert to using a regular worm clamp and that works better.

        Doesn't fit 1/2' silicone

        I bought these on accident thinking they would fit 1/2" silicone tubing but it's way off. They look like good clamps, theyre just not big enough for what I was trying to do with them.

        Sizes are for vinyl hose only.

        These are very well built SS clamps. Sizes listed are for vinyl hose only. They do NOT fit 1/2" ID silicone hose. You'll be lucky to get them over 3/8" silicone.Great clamps other than that.
