Great tool to use at the end of the counterflow wort chiller to ensure temp is ready for fermentation.

Works as it’s supposed to and within a degree. I bought this for the Grainfather and it is not needed. The wort comes out of the counter flow chiller cold and there is really no way to adjust the output temp aside from shutting off the water to the chiller. Even then you’re more concerned with the over all temp in the fermenter.

Just used for the first time yesterday. Pretty responsive temperature readings allowed me to adjust on the fly.

I use this with my Grainfather and SS Brewtech Brew Bucket. I attach it to the counter flow chiller tube on one end and another piece of silicone tubing on the other. I feed the out tube through the hole in the fermenter lid so the fermenter remains covered entire time. I use the thermometer on the brew bucket as well to monitor the blended temp of the wort. This allows me to monitor the overall blended temp as the temp coming out of the chiller changes or if I make adjustments (water flow rate and/or temp) with the chiller. I find that the temp readings change swiftly and are reasonably accurate. For my set up, this is my favorite purchase to date and highly recommend anyone using a counter flow chiller to buy this. Takes a lot of stress out of chilling because you know what temp the wort is as it comes out of the chiller.

Great tool to the kit

Excellent product, has made life a lot easier for regulating flow from the chiller in order to hit the right temperature.I used a piece of 3/8" tubing on the input port, and it fits into the 1/2 " tubing coming from the chiller with no leaks.

A must have if using a therminator. Blichmann makes everything easy.

I wish there was an option for 1/2" input/outputs instead of just 3/8" but overall the product works very well. I was worried it would take too long to wait for the colors to show up accurately on the gauge but my experience has been temps show correctly after only a few seconds of contact with the flowing wort.

I use this on the output of my heat exchanger and it works perfectly. Easy to clean, and the response time of the therm strip isn't too bad either.
