Makes cleaning 4 beer lines and faucets a breeze.
Considerably simplified my setup to fill bottles from the keg, using a Blichmann Beer Gun! Didn't have to move the keg or split the CO2 line.
I used to have to connect my bottling set-up direct to kegs which would sometimes disturb the sediment in the keg and cause hazy beer even though it had been pouring clear. With this ball lock spout i can leave my kegs alone and connect directly through the Intertap faucet.
Perfect product. Will be buying a second to set up a daisy chain tap cleaner.
This is great for hooking up my beer gun. Screw it on the faucet. And I’m ready to hook up my gun. No need to disconnect the keg. Easy as can be.
Perfect, works as expected
The Intertap Ball Lock Spout works perfectly.
I really like the interoperable fittings you can use on the Intertap faucets. This one is my favorite, allowing for a good, secure connection between my faucet and my can filler. The only issue is that the part that screws into the faucet is perfectly round and smooth. It is not made for a wrench. As a result, I often have difficulty removing the spout from the faucet. The lower portion with the poppet (which does allow for a wrench) will come loose, leaving the upper piece behind (sigh).
Allows for me to use my beer gun without disturbing the keg or opening the kegerator.
This attachment fits perfectly on my intertap faucets. Great for filling cans using a picnic tap or a beer straw. I admit I rarely use it but like all brewing/beer equipment it's good to have on hand.
Worked well for the transfer from one keg to another, but it came apart when I unscrewed it is and I can’t overcome the spring to put it back together. So I’ll have to order another and try not to tighten it so much. Good product.
With the length of line connecting the keg to the tap and a long line from the tap to the beergun, I don't have to turn down the pressure on the keg at all to bottle and have very little foaming.
Used this ball lock with the Intertap Forward Sealing Stainless Flow Control Faucet and a Blichman Beer Gun too bottle beer. Work great!
Does this fit all Nukatap faucets? I have Nukatap Gen 2 with flow control. Thanks!
How do you take it apart to clean it? It won't unscrew.
I used pliers and a wrench and it came apart just fine. It's just a QD post screwed onto a threaded adapter.
It will unscrew. Try soaking it in really hot PBW for about half an hour then try again with two pairs of pliers.
I don’t take it apart. I hook it to a hose with a ball lock connector run hot water through it and then saniclean
If it's stuck that tight I would hold the faucet and use an 11/16 deep socket and/or try soaking it in PBW in a little bowl. If that doesn't work it might be cross threaded.
Can you use this to run cleaner in reverse direction through Intertap faucet? Will that damage the Intertap faucet? I have almost all cornies but one sanke "guest beer" in my home kegerator. It will be tough for me to clean the sanke coupler/line/tap. If I took the check valves out of the sanke coupler and cleaned those separate I could run hook my corny full of cleaning solution to this ball lock adapter through the faucet line and coupler. Do you see any issues with this? Thank you
Mattew - There should be no issue reversing flow to clean through an Intertap faucet.
What size threads does this have?
British BSP 3/8"-19 is the Intertap thread size for the spouts. You can find online. Dan
These are typically a proprietary machine thread designed only to be used with their products.
I emailed Intertap asking for thread info and they responded saying that it is 3/8” thread. Nothing about thread pitch or compatible thread standards; pretty useless info. From what I’ve determined it is custom and I haven’t found anything compatible with it (other than the tap body...).
It's larger than a 1/4 inch NPT and smaller than a 1/2 inch NPT. Fits the intertap faucet. I don't have a 3/8 inch NPT to see if that fits.
