fit and finish is great. Worked perfectly. The instructions could use better pictures but once you get going you can figure it out pretty easy

Arrived missing a piece (the brass fitting that connects gas line to burner) but other than that exceeds expectations. Good air/propane blend so no soot. Auto-leveling feet don't do much sadly. I brew on a graded driveway and it sits very uneaven.

Used for the first time did a great job heating up 8 gallons of wort.

Works perfect with my 8gal pot for 5gal batches. Brings to a boil fast and quiet. Assembly was easy, huge upgrade from my old turkey fryer.

Only used it once so far.. Some smell of burning paint. Flames have yellow tips at high in the intake to increase air flow.er settings indicating insufficient oxygen for complete combustion. That was with the air intake wide open. Thought about removing the safety screenReally enjoy the flat top surface making it easy to get heavy pots on and off the burner

We love the burner- it boiled our water so quickly! Only drawback is we feel more fo should be provided about range of temp. What temp is lowest setting? Middle? Highest?

Upgrade from 3 gallon pot in the kitchen. This is great.I hooked it up using LNG to my outside line, so it is about hal the BTU of propane, but that is fine. still boiled the 4 gallons in less that 10 minutes.Only issue I had was that they sent a few extra nuts and bolts, which always makes me nervous that I missed something ;)

The Anvil burner worked very well on my 1st batch. Assembly was straight forward although it took about an hour to get it all put together and ready to use. Provided plenty of heat to achieve and maintain a rolling boil for 5 gallon batch with 8 gallon initial boil volume. Height worked well for my set-up

Expertly packaged, assembled with ease! I bought the extension legs for less bending. Works like a charm!

The burner works very well really nice flame I actually use it for cooking doing stirfry’s with my old steel walk and using it for my lobster pot This is a replacement for one of my 20 year old burner this is a very nice upgrade

Amazing. I had no idea how quiet and efficient a burner could be. Burns clean... no black on the bottom of my brew kettle anymore! I highly recommend it!

Excellent burner. Very quiet, but lots of heat. Watch out for boilovers.

I've been using an old turkey fryer propane burner for a long long time with BIAB, and due to a need not to lift things for a while I decided to get the Anvil with the extension legs to help with that. It has cut the time to mash temp and from mash to boil by 25%, and the boil is now amazingly steady and easy to control. It took a little getting used to since it is so much quieter than my old burner, you can hardly hear it while it maintains a rolling boil.

I chose this burner to replace my darkstar which had given up the ghost too soon. This is by far a huge improvement. It heats quickly. My 10 gallon kettle fits securely.

Burner arrived quickly, assembled easily, and boiled rapidly. No complaints here.

The burner set up easily and worked very well. I was able to control the boil easily and had no trouble on a particularly windy day. Some of the paint burned off as many others have noted, but that is not a concern of mine.

Works well. No more black bottom on the pot.29 min to boil 11 gal from 120 degree start. Turns down smoothly to maintain boil. Å’Seems to heat very evenly and not cause bumping boilovers with my too small pot.

Heats alot quicker then my old cheap burner. Great control and very sturdy. Directions aren't written well. Video online is much more helpful.

I used this for the first time to sanitize 28 bottles. It took 51 minutes to bring water from 78 degrees to a boil with approximately 9 gallons of water in a Gas One 10 gallon kettle. This is probably a 25-30 percent larger task than normal size batch brewing since you would be boiling about 5-6 gallons of wort, typically. The burner performed well, had good range in heat control. The paint did discolor, like so many have pointed out, but I feel it a bit unrealistic for anyone to expect it to get that hot and not darken the paint on the windscreen. The only disappointing thing was I expected faster boil performance - the boil was solid, but not super vigorous. It is adequate for 10 gallon kettles and it is quiet during operation. On the plus side - even though it took 51 minutes to boil - that was at least an hour faster than I am used to since the same task done indoors takes nearly 3 hours since in that process I had to use a 4 gallon kettle and do my bottles in 2 batches.

Wow, what a burner! Heated my wort faster than I could imagine! And after it started boiling and I turned it down, it was so quiet I had to check to make sure it was still on! Make sure you read the instructions for putting it together carefully. Would definitely recommend.

Assembly was quick and easy.On first usage, boiled maple sap for 13 hours.Adjustment to keep the boil at a good point without over-boiling was easy.I liked the burner with the standard size legs that come with it. Thinking the extensions would be too high for my large pot.Would recommend to others.

Great burner! Heated 6 gallons to a boil in about 30 minutes. Orange paint burnt a little on first use but is only cosmetic, so no biggie!

Upgraded to this burner from a walmart burner, SO much better for heat source, boiling wort faster and more consistent. No soot at bottom of keg. Much more stable base, I feel like I can stand on this burner no problem. 2 down sides, the beautiful orange paint has to burn off in some areas, kinda caustic smell. Also, on the venturi screen there was no air flow adjuster, the stock setting was OK, but could have been improved, so,I had to fab one to fine tune the air, gas mix.

The Anvil burner puts out an incredible amount of heat and is very efficient. Very even heat distribution.

I'll get the bad out of the way first:1) They need to improve their packaging. I've ordered three of these, and they all had the windshield scraped on the inside from the components moving around during shipping. This doesn't affect the function of the product, but is a little disappointing to see.2) It's really a toss-up as to whether you'll get v1 or v2. My first burner contained a v1, but instructions for v2, which was very confusing. I contacted Anvil and they sent me a link to an installation video on YouTube. Their support is very friendly and responsive.The good:1) The burner is really well designed and well-built2) This burner is a steal for the price3) It's incredibly powerful and produces a nice consistent flame. It's ALMOST too powerful for a 5 gallon batch-size. I have to keep the flame almost at the lowest setting.4) I haven't had many discoloration issues. The whole orange windscreen got a little darker, but it didn't bubble or burn black.5) The leg extensions put your kettles at the perfect height to keep you from constantly bending over to check temperatures or connect hoses.

The paint on mine has held up with only a minor browning to the color after a dozen brews. I have the leg extensions and it holds my 15 gallon kettle with 9 gallons of wort in it no problem. It heats quickly and the dial is easier to use than the one on my old Bayou burner. One I reach a boil I can turn the dial almost all the way down to maintain a boil.

So far its a dream I've done one batch it performed awesome

This burner works great but the instructions that come with it are awful. The parts list that came with it didn't match what I had at all. After some research I found out there are two different versions of this burner but the instructions are only for one. Even once I got that figured out I was still missing some of the flat washers I needed, but I made due. I have brewed one batch with it so far and I am very happy with the performance.
