How to Use the Calculator
- Original Gravity [OG]: Enter your desired original gravity. In general, starter wort should be between 1.020 and 1.040.
- Starter Volume: Enter the volume of liquid you will be using.
- Unit: Select either Gallon or Liter. This refers to the "Starter Volume" field. For instance, if you are making a 2-liter starter, enter 2 in the "Starter Volume" field and select "Liter" in the unit field.
- Calculate: Simply click the "Go" button to see how much DME you will need. Note results are displayed in both ounces and grams.
