The blades fold down allowing for easy insertion into a barrel or even a glass carboy. Ideal for mixing, stirring wine and works great as a degasser. As soon as you turn your drill on the blades expand to create a powerful stirring action. We do not recommend using in a carboy that is topped full because the stirrer displaces too much liquid and also creates a vortex that will send wine out the top. In these cases a hollow racking cane works exceptionally well. Works with 3/8" or larger drills.

Wine Cap Puncher - This is an ideal puncher for smaller volume winemaking. Perfect for 20 gallon fermenters.
Our design features a sealed connection where juice cannot travel back up into the handle. We have seen similar models but always passed on selling them because the design had an opening where the 4 metal wires went back into the hollow handle. When juice inevitably did get back up into that space, the punch was done, you could never clean it. Height is 24". Base is 5 3/16" diameter

De-gas your wines quickly and easily with this lightweight, drill mounted degassing rod for wines. It features a plastic shaft with an offset ""hook"" for quickly degassing wines.
To use, mount the sanitized degassing rod on an electric drill. Insert through the neck of the carboy, and the slowly increase the speed of the drill. Reduce the speed or stop as the bubbles come out of solution. As the bubbles subside, you can begin again. Repeat until large amount of bubbles stop coming out of solution. Take care to keep the spinning wings submerged, you do not want to agitate the surface of the wine and oxidize it.

This a single replacement blade for our WE590 Stainless Lees Stirrer with Plastic Blades. It's easy to break these off, and so we brought in replacements to avoid having to get a whole new unit!
Customers of ours have also gotten creative and created custom tank mixers by attaching these to a long stainless shaft that they have had fabricated.
